FROM POPULAR ROMANCE AUTHOR KATHERINE MCINTYREBook three in the Tribal Spirits series. When Jer kisses his best friend Raven, the feelings they’ve been avoiding surface—including secrets from the past that might destroy them both.Jeremiah Taylor’s responsibilities as the new pack beta are crushing him, especially with the unpredictable mood shifts since his shaman-supplied bipolar meds ran out. … his shaman-supplied bipolar meds ran out. It’s the combination for doing something stupid, like kissing the one woman he’s never let himself pursue—his best friend Raven Takahashi.
When Finn left the Red Rock pack, Raven’s on and off again fling took her safety net with him—the one barrier keeping her from the raw and real way she feels around Jer. The moment the Pandora’s box opens after they kiss, she can no longer deny the sparks between them or hide from the demons of her past.
And when one of those demons shows up in Beaver Tavern representing an anti-shifter group to take over their land, Raven’s secrets threaten to get dragged into the light, which could cost her everything—her friends, her pack, and her home. However, if she and Jer don’t thwart the anti-shifter group’s takeover attempts, the entire Red Rock pack might find themselves banished from their own land.

Forged Contracts (Tribal Spirits #3) by Katherine McIntyre is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number three in this awesome series that I have fallen in llve with. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters.

I love how this author has incorporated past issues, including mental health problems, into a shifter world. Sometimes we will see past trauma in these type of books, but I’ve never read one where the shifter has had an actual mental health problem. This is a good book and I hope everyone likes it like I did.

Damaged wolf shifter Raven has past trauma to overcome and Katherine McIntyre handles this with sensitivity while not sparing the heat between Raven and Jer, pack lawyer.
He makes a mistake by kissing his best friend, he knew he should not have missed her but he had now. He had feeling for her so long. Now what is he going to.do? He is a beta whose responsibilities are overwhelming. Since the kiss she has feelings she should never have shown. Now what? See by reading

I like this story It is well crafted and beautifully plotted am sure that the characters go through was well thought out their challenges in their relationship.
I was wondering how Raven would fare once Finn found his mate in the last book and left the pack. I was not disappointed by she and Jer’s attraction that always seemed to be lingering in the background throughout this series. They deserved all the happiness, although at times the Author never let on completely that they would find it. I loved spending the day inhaling this story filled with super hotness between the couple with danger swirling all around them, eager to find out what would happen. I have thoroughly enjoyed this must read PNR series from the very beginning, each couple as engaging as the last, and this one is no exception!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
When Finn left, Raven’s wall came down. She had been hiding behind that wall, and Finn, for years. Now that barrier is gone, Raven had to face just why she had been hiding, or rather WHO she had been hiding from. Jeremiah didn’t want to be pack beta, but Sierra choose him and he would do his best. raven at his side would be a bonus, but would she be there, when she finds out his bi-polar meds are all gone? When Raven’s past comes to town, they both have to face up to what they feel for each other and join together with both the Red Rock pack AND the Silver Springs pack when that past turns deadly.
This is book three is the Tribal Alliances series but all can be read as stand alones. BUT I would strongly recommend that you read at least book two, Forged Decisions, before this one. There is much in that book that has a direct impact on this one.
Raven is hiding, she doesn’t want to face what she really feels about Jer. When he finds out about her past, she’ll be heart broken if she lets herself fall. So she used Finn, and he used Raven too, to hide from those feelings. With Finn gone, she cannot hide anymore and just one kiss explodes the mating bond between them. Raven tries hard, so very hard to not let it develop, but neither she nor Jer can deny it any longer.
And it it GLORIOUS watching them fall! Emotional, dark and deadly, best describes this one!
Raven’s past still haunts her, and when the true horror of that becomes clear, Jer goes all Alpha-protect-whats-mine. He pulls his head out his ass and accepts Raven’s help to get himself back on track, cos now, not only does his pack need him, as beta, but his MATE needs him too. It takes Jer a while to see what Raven feels, putting the pieces together not quite fast enough, but he does get there in the end.
Raven manages to overcome her past in the most bloody way! The past she had been hiding, the one she didn’t want anyone to know about, isn’t so much of a secret from Sierra, since she is pack Alpha and Sierra makes Raven see that we all have a past. And that’s where it needs to stay, in the PAST.
A previous baddie makes (mostly) good here and I wonder if he will get a book. Be nice, I think, for him to come full circle. He’s not the next one, that book belongs to Lucas, of the East Coast Tribe and the Landsliders will be back, making much trouble again!
We slipped a bit from 5 for book one, to 4 stars for book two, but I had no idea why. This one, however, shoots straight back up to 5 stars! One sitting read, and it ain’t a short book!
5 full and shiny stars

Finn Kelly had left over a month ago now and, even though she knew he wasn’t in love with her, his absence took away her feeling of safety and the distraction from her raw feelings for Jer when he left. Now every little sound or shadow unnerved her if she was alone. So she picked up more and more shifts at the bar to keep her calm and hold off the memories she had locked away 10 years ago. The bar door of Beaver Tavern creaked as Jeremiah Taylor, the handsome new Red Rock pack Beta, walked in. With Jer around, Raven Takahashi felt way too much. She couldn’t fight both her feelings for him and her past, which she struggled to keep a secret. She was cursed with the ability to soak in emotions, so despite his easy banter with her, she felt his pain and hopelessness.
When someone from Raven’s past shows up in cahoots with an anti-shifter group wanting to take the pack’s land from them, it looks like Raven’s secrets may be revealed, costing her everything. Despite her vulnerability, however, she knows she must do something to thwart the anti-shifter group’s takeover efforts for the sake of her Red Rock pack. Jer, without his bipolar meds and feeling insecure with his wild mood swings, nevertheless puts himself into the situation as well so that they can protect their pack and make things right.
This was a good addition to the series and I was glad to see the main characters finally put their inadequacies aside and realize how much they cared about each other. The story line was good, well-paced, and with enough tension to keep the reader invested in the story. Grab your copy and find out the outcome of the takeover see whether Raven and Jer find their HEA.
Book three in the Tribal Spirits series a well written story that held my interest throughout. Raven Takahashi and Jeremiah/Jer Taylor are best friends until one night a kiss changes everything. This book has suspense, drama, danger, villains, kidnapping, a group of anti-shifter fanatics called the Coalition, a man trying to handle his bipolar ailment, and romance. I wonder if there are going to be more books in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Forged Contracts is the third book in the Tribal Spirits series, and I would definitely recommend you read this as a series, rather than a set of standalones.
After reading the second book, I was invested in knowing more about Raven, and I found out! Her and Jer have watched each other from afar for way too long, but now it seems their time is on hand. The pack also faces a threat from the Coalition, whilst Raven faces a threat from her past. It’s not all plain sailing for Jer either, as he is off his meds for his bipolar, and is struggling.
There is plenty of action in this book, and a couple of steamy times for Raven and Jer, but they add to the storyline, rather than detract it. It was brilliant to see how these two damaged people helped to heal each other, rather than cause more injury.
There were no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed, and the world and characters continue to grow. Although we didn’t hear from Finn and Navi, we do get an update from Sierra and Dax (obviously, considering they are heading the pack!). Thoroughly enjoyed every word, and I have no hesitation in recommending this book.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Archaeolibrarian – I Dig Good Books!
Jeremiah and Raven were both wonderful characters who each thought they were broken. Jeremiah was bi polar and Raven dealt with her past. Trouble threatens their pack and these two shifters work together to try to head it off Lots of action, great chemistry and fantastic plot. Love this series and this book! Loved it!
