Sierra Kanoska fought hard for her position as wolf alpha of the Red Rock pack, and intruders in her territory receive the full brunt of what her claws, fangs, and smarts can accomplish. So when Dax Williams, de facto alpha of the Silver Springs pack, pays an unwelcome visit, Sierra’s ready to toss him out. However, the man’s in a tough spot. The pack elders sabotaged his fight for alpha against … against his brother, driving him from his lands. Sierra hates underhanded moves like that, so she agrees on an alliance. As they work together, she witnesses an alpha who wants to do right by his pack, not just the cocky wiseass she first met. Their growing attraction blazes hot, but the moment she and Dax lock lips, a mating bond emerges. Sierra sure as hell isn’t ready to share that intimate connection with a stranger, and the thought of forever sends Dax running. Before they can talk, the Tribe commanding the East Coast shifters arrives to settle the dispute. Dax and his brother’s punishment for their pack’s civil war is a free-for-all on their lands. Not only does he have to defeat his brother, but any challenger in the region. Despite Dax and Sierra’s initial resistance, his wily charm relaxes her control-freak tendencies while her steadfast support bolsters his strength. Yet every new opponent places their newfound relationship under siege–one misstep, one wrong blow in the ring, and Dax could leave in a bodybag.

“The most dangerous shifters on the East Coast didn’t frighten her in the slightest compared to the mountain-lion menace by the name of Dax Williams.”
I devoured the tangible attraction between this incredibly unlikely couple who attempt to fight it tooth and nail (no pun intended…because…shifters). Bristling and entertaining banter keeps you hooked while the two strong personalities clash to overcome mutual obstacles.
Engrossing, and riveting, the action sequences leave your heart pounding just as much as the budding romance that continued to be just out of reach until it exploded into fantastic feels. Super hot, fun characters, nail biting action….even for someone who doesn’t seek out PNR on purpose, I will always jump on this Author’s stories!! I thank her for providing a copy to review!

I’m always up for a good shifter series, and this first book in the Tribal Spirit series is a promising start. The book is well-written and engaging, and the character development is sound – even the secondary characters are interesting. The story starts with an intriguing situation and doesn’t let up.
There is quite a lot going on in this entertaining read – an alliance between clans, a civil war, attacks from an opposing faction, and battles for the title of alpha. And on top of that, the sexual tension between Dax and Sierra is almost palpable as they dance around their attraction and the mating bond. And the banter between them is one of my favorite elements in the book. While neither of them are exactly romantic, they are absolutely perfect for each other, snarky wit and all.
Overall, Forged Alliances is an action-packed, sexy read with witty dialogue and just the right amount of humor to keep it from getting too angsty. It’s a solid start to a promising series and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
She is a tough, smart and strong alpha. He is strong but more relaxed. His brother did a number on him for alpha and they chased him away. Her and him find they get along and when he has to fight a lot she is there. I highly recommend it. I got a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.
The first book in the Tribal Spirits series and I know I want to read the next book. Sierra Kanoska and Dax Williams’ story had me turning pages I could not put it down so it ended up being a late night/early morning, I would advise reading this book early in the day. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Forged Alliances is the first book in the Tribal Spirits series, and already I am sucked into this world – loving the characters and wanting to know more about…, well, pretty much everyone! In this book, we focus on Sierra and Dax. Sierra is the alpha of the Wolves of Red Rock, whereas Dax is the alpha of the Mountain Lions of Silver Springs. Or at least, half of the pack that have followed him think so. We find out that there were strange circumstances at play, which has led to Dax coming to Red Rock to seek an alliance with Sierra. What neither of them were expecting was a mating bond to kick into action, leaving them with the choice of what to do.
This is an action-packed, sarcasm-filled, story that ticked all my boxes. I loved the interaction between Sierra and Dax, especially when he goes around annoying everyone. Dax is honourable though, and Sierra knows this. The mating bond is simmering until their first kiss, and then they both freak out. BUT they still work together, knowing the pack’s problems supersede their personal one. Love them. Moving on though, there are other characters that I need to know more about, lots more! And don’t let’s forget about those representatives from The Tribe. I want to know more about them, and what they’re doing there too.
With laughter and tears, this book was just what I needed. It is witty, action-packed, and believable (as far as shifters go!). With no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, I have no hesitation in recommending this for all shifter fans. Loved it, and can’t wait for the next one.
Sierra was a fantastic character who was also the Alpha of Red pack. She was smart and a strong woman who was wonderful to read about. Dax was Alpha of a different breed and was totally different in his laid back ways but strong and a great character. When trouble brews these two Alphas work together and the chemistry was hot as was the sex. Lots of action and some great secondary characters. Loved it and look forward to the next book.
