From debut author, Barb Curtis, a heartwarming small-town romance about high school sweethearts who return home and discover that first love sometimes gets a second chance. . . Jay Wynter wants to be successful on his own merit. That’s why he left Sapphire Springs and his family’s winery to build a career from scratch. But now that he’s successor to Wynter Estate, Jay must return to his small … return to his small hometown to face everything, and everyone, he left behind-especially his high school sweetheart, who happens to be his stunning new business partner . . .
Leyna Milan knows family legacies come with strings attached, but she’s determined to prove that she can run her family’s restaurant. Of course, Leyna never expected that honoring her grandfather’s wishes meant opening a second location on her ex’s property-or having to ignore Jay’s sexy grin and guard the heart he shattered years before. But as they work closely together, she begins to discover that maybe first loves deserve a second chance . . .

This story was cute, Leyna was fierce fighter for what and who she loved. She just was also a stubborn hard headed person as well she really was a fun character to. Jay was such a a broken spirit but why he didn’t live in the pain the pain was very much part of his life. I did not like Cass, Mark or Danielle and I thought we all could be more like Stefan willing to love unconditionally. I loved Emily I so want to read her story and I hope she gets the man of her dreams. She was such a good friend. There is a little bit of a twist to this story which kind of keeps you wondering what was going to happen next. Over all this book was such sweet love story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I loved this debut book from Barb Curtis and I will definitely be reading more of her work. This is a beautifully written second chance romance about Leyna and Jay (Jason). Eighteen years ago, he crushed Leyna when he left and told her he didn’t love her. Now, his Pop, Stefan Wynter, has had a stroke and Jay returns to help out. Leyna and Jay’s grandfathers were best friends and their one last goal is to have a Rosalia’s restaurant on the Wynter estate. When her grandfather’s passing, Leyna has had the old Rosalia’s renovated and very successful. What she didn’t count on was all the lawyer’s fees she had to pay. This will come out in the reading of this story, so I’ll say no more about it. Leyna and Jay still have some amazing chemistry, but Leyna is being cautious because Jay could leave again. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say this story is not without some angst. If want a book that make laugh, cry, smile, and cheer, then this is definitely the book for you.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Forever With You by Barb Curtis is a great contemporary romance that is the first in, what I am sure will be a wonderful, new series: A Sapphire Springs.
This romance is a light, contemporary story about second chance love, and I really enjoyed seeing Jay and Leyna come back into one another’s lives, their newfound relationship that developed into a romance that was not just enjoyable to read, but also relatable and realistic. I enjoyed the characters’ complexity and the fact that they were both flawed, but yet like able. I also thought they had great chemistry and complimented each other well.
I really enjoyed the ending, and easily devoured this gem in less then 2 days. I really look forward to additional books from this author. She has a created a new fan in me.

A second chance romance set in small town wine country–we couldn’t have the more perfect setting for the rekindling of old feelings! Our leads, Jay and Leyna dated in high school before Jay left for an apprenticeship in France and Leyna went to college. Now, 18 years later, Jay is back to help his ailing grandfather run his vineyard while Leyna has already taken over her grandfather’s restaurant. While a partnership forged by the grandparents bring them closer together? Or is it better not to mix business with pleasure?
This book was really sweet. I really loved both Jay and Leyna and was rooting for them the whole time. There were excellent subplots revolving around Leyna’s inheritance and who would take over Jay’s grandfather’s vineyard. They added intrigue to the romance plot but seemed purposefully present rather than thrown in. I also loved learning more about the process of making wine and wine in general! This book was clean, but not in a way that made you feel like you were missing out, or that the characters were cookie cutter perfect. I think there was just the right amount of everything.
I’m assuming we’re getting Leyna’s friend Emily’s story next and I can’t be more excited!

5 stars – 8/10
I loved this book. It was such a beautiful story of love, family, and persevering. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Forever with You by Barb Curtis is the first book in this author’s Sapphire Springs series. It is a great beginning to this series. I loved the two main characters , Leyna Milan and Jay Wynter. They work out to be the perfect couple and I enjoyed reading about their road to a Happily Ever After. I enjoy small-town romance books and this one is heartwarming and very entertaining.
Forever with You is the debut novel from Barb Curtis and such a wonderful debut it was! This book had come recommended to me and I’m glad I was able to read it and enjoy the trip to Sapphire Springs for myself.
Jason (Jay) Wynter left Sapphire Springs nearly two decades earlier so he could earn his own way. While it would have been easiest to stay and automatically work at the family vineyard, he went to France to work for vineyards there and to learn about the craft of grape growing. Although when he did that, he left a lot of things back at home, namely the woman he was head over heels in love with.
Leyna Milan has always been second best to her brother. It wasn’t until he voiced that he didn’t want any part in the restaurant that her grandfather had owned and run for so many years that she was actually considered. She’s a great business woman with fantastic instincts and now that she’s inherited the business she’s trying to navigate what the best next steps are.
When Jay’s grandfather falls ill, it forces him to come back home. He learns he’s next in line to take the reins at the vineyard, but is that really what he wants? Couple that with the fact that Leyna and his grandfather have an agreement to open a second location of her restaurant at the vineyard, meaning he’s going to have to work with his ex. Is that going to cause problems or will it reignite what has never gone away between the couple?
This is an amazing small-town romance that has a bit of mystery thrown in as well, which I loved. The characters were well fleshed out and before I was even done I was wondering if others characters were going to get their own stories!
While this may be Barb Curtis’ debut, it doesn’t read that way and was fantastic. It’s one that I would highly suggest picking up!

From the very beginning this book caught and held my full attention. This story made me feel so many different emotions and brought tears to my eyes especially towards the end. This was such a great start to the series and I can’t wait to read the next book!
3 out of 5 stars!
When the hero returns to his family winery to help with the business after his grandfather’s health scare, he learns that he’ll be business partner with the heroine, his high school sweetheart. The heroine, taking after her late grandfather’s restaurant, wants to prove that she can handle the business, even when it includes being in the presence of the man who broke her heart. As the couple learns to work together, they began to fall in love again amidst business and personal struggles.
I enjoyed the book with its great town vibes and distinct characters. Each character, be they the protagonist or antagonist, felt individually strong even with flaws. Though the progression of the couple’s relationship was mostly smooth, I wanted more angst at the beginning when the couple learned to work together again and let their past be forgiven. I also felt that some problems that the characters went through were not to my taste. Otherwise, I did like the book and look forward to more books from the author.
