From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the With Me in Seattle Series comes the end of a saga… named Alecia.
Alecia works tirelessly building her event planning business. It’s the most important part of her life. Despite the beautiful, lavish weddings she organizes, Alecia is convinced that the idea of true love is a myth. While Dominic is a sexy, intriguing man, welcoming the handsome Italian into her bed, and her life, is a risk she’s not so sure she’s willing to take.

This book is so bittersweet! I have loved this series, but especially this family! They have come to mean something to me, so while I am so happy to have Dominic and Alecia’s story, I am sad to see it all end.
Dominic came into the Montgomery family later in life. He didn’t find out that he was Steven Montgomery’s son until after his mother passed away, and decided then to find the father that he never knew. Who happened to live pretty close to the winery that he owns and operates. But wow, he entered a large and boisterous group! After a couple of years, he’s now fitting in quite comfortably. Alecia has been on the outskirts of this family since she first planned Nat’s baby shower. No that Alecia is planning Will and Meg’s wedding that is going to take place at Dominic’s winery, they are spending a lot of time together. But they both have family drama that they need to overcome in order to be happy. There is some serious chemistry between these two!
Kristen Proby always manages to write characters that I care about. That I want to be friends with. That seem so real. The plot is well-developed and makes me want to continue reading. And what a phenomenal job she does of tying this whole series together. I loved that epilogue so hard!!
This is my all-time favorite series! I love the entire Montgomery, Williams, McKenna, and Salvatore Family~ if you haven’t read them, I highly recommend!
This one! Dominic and Alecia are the perfect duo. I have been binging this series in audio form and having phrases of Italian interspersed in this one made this one extra special. I have loved each one in this series and recommend them all!
I love this series!
I loved every single book in this series, and this one was no exception. It’s the end of a saga, the end of an era, the end of our lives as we know it! Ok, that may have been too much, but at least you get the picture that I’m so sad to see this series draw to a close. In each book we are presented with a pretty strong female lead, as well as an affectionate male character with alpha tendencies who isn’t afraid of public displays of affection. If anything he might want to be a tad more reserved when it comes to those PDAs. Although reading about the sexual activities that these characters engage in in a public setting is quite scintillating.
At the end of the previous novel in this series, Breathe with Me, we were offered a glimpse at the beginning attraction between the Italian half-brother of the Montgomery clan, Dominic Salvatore, and their unofficial family party coordinator, Alecia. In this novel, we see how Dominic has been pining for Alecia for over a year, but she constantly refuses his advances. Enter some advice from a few of his strong-willed sisters, and Dominic is finally able to win a coveted date from the lovely event planner. Their subsequent romance is heated, passionate, but of course not without some issues.
Honestly, of all the books in this series Dominic is probably one of my favorite male characters. He’s loving and caring, Italian (hello sexy accent), he owns a vineyard, and has a tendency to forget his English when sexually active. Mamma mia! He also doesn’t take no for an answer, but not in a chauvinistic or infuriating way. He isn’t out to just conquer Alecia sexually, but realizes he is drawn to her and she to him, and that they should explore these feelings they have for one another. Alecia was also a very strong-willed female character with her own successful business, and she didn’t really let her romance with Dominic turn her into a withering heap of fragility. When compared to the other books, this one probably had the tamest of all side stories. There were no stalkers out to kill either of our main characters, or an overwhelming media frenzy which threatened to tear our two lovebirds apart. They basically just had some trust issues, but who doesn’t? Alecia doesn’t believe in everlasting true love, and Dominic takes a situation out of context and assumes that Alecia cheated on him. You know, typical relationship issues.
Even though I am saddened to see that this series is coming to a close, this book was actually a great way to end it. Because Alecia is the main party coordinator for all of the Montgomery family’s events, we get to see all of the characters come back from the previous novels. It was fun trying to think back on all of the stories and couples that had come before, and see what their lives are like now after their happily ever afters. And although there are eight books in total with this series, each character is so unique with their own personality that it wasn’t too hard to remember all of their individual stories. That being said, there is a family tree at the very end of the book which was definitely welcome to keep them all straight. Kristen Proby is a master of detail and has the ability to make you feel like one of the gang.
Exceptional read and the beginning start to a great series.
This was a bittersweet read for me. I loved, loved, loved the book. I hate to see this family go. I have invested a lot of time with each of them. I feel as if I am part of their lives. This story is about Dominic and Alecia. Dominic is the brother whom the other Montgomery’s found out about a year earlier. Alecia is the party planner that the Montgomery’s use to plan their parties and weddings. Dominic is all male. Alecia doesn’t know how to be loved. She has never felt the love that Dominic can give her. She is so afraid of falling in love that she runs. There is a bit of angst in this story. There is a whole lot of love in this story. We get to visit with the Montgomery clan in detail. Most of this story takes place around Meg and Will’s wedding. That is beautiful by the way. Dual point of view. Beautiful epilogue ten years in the future. I am sad to see this family go. Kristen Proby, you wrote a wonderful series that will “forever be with me”. Thanks for that.
I really love this series and this book is no different! Love Dominic and Alicia together, a hot read and a steamy romance is all you need. Really enjoyed reading this series and sad to see this come to an end, I need more! Definitely worth the read. Kristen is such a great writer!
OH DOMINIC!!!
Alecia, a successful events planner is an honorary member of the Montgomery clan having done their weddings, birthdays, etc. for over 2 years, and Dominic Salvatore is ALL sexy Montgomery man!!!! He wants Alecia, but he will have to knock down her walls, results of her past….but this Italian man is definitely the man for the job….
Dominic, and his Italian accent, passion and terms of endearment melts the ice walls around Alecia’s heart…Two of the many things I loved about this book is “you make me forget my English,” and Dom telling Alecia about how he was accepted as a Montgomery brought tears to my eyes….Like all of the Montgomery/Williams/McKenna/Nash men, Dominic Salvatore gets what he wants, no matter how long it takes…Alecia walls never stood a chance
