Ford had fallen for his boss—hard. All that time in close proximity, who could blame him?
But then the craziest thing happened… Sawyer fell for him too, and they had a wonderful Christmas to remember. This Amber Falls boy had never been more grateful for a snowstorm and closed airports—especially when it led to his forever.
The couple spent a few amazingly romantic weeks together—at work and … together—at work and at home—until Sawyer took what he promised would be a quick trip to New York… only he’s not returned… and now he’s unreachable.
Maybe forever was just a moment in time and Sawyer wasn’t the man Ford thought he was.
But then he remembered the way Sawyer looked at him and Ford decided to follow his heart… literally. Only when he showed up in New York, it was to find Sawyer with a teenager, a tween and a toddler in his home.
Maybe he never knew the man he fell for, or maybe there’s an explanation for everything.
Besides, there was something about Sawyer with a baby in his arms that Ford couldn’t quite resist.
This is not a Standalone, but the finale of Sawyer and Ford’s story that began in Stranded With The Boss.

This is book two of the series, and it’s still featuring Ford and Sawyer, whom we met in book 1. I would highly recommend reading that book because it’s just too good to pass up and it will give you the full background of how and when they come together. Plus, it’s heartwarming.
Where book one was light and full of fluffy goodness, this book dug a little deeper, and we get to see exactly what our main men are made of. It was good to see Ford was still the little sassy guy we enjoyed, and Sawyer was still quite charming. Life was already wrecking havoc in their plans, but it decided to throw 3 kids in the mix…ones that Sawyer had no idea existed. They had a lot of things to learn as their journey of love continues. It’s enjoyable seeing a relationship deepen and grow with every day struggles, along with some curveballs.
This was a story with a lot of heart, as well as some laughs along the way. It was well written, and comes with a lot of great side characters. I am reading an updated version to the book, so a lot of the complaints in earlier reviews must have been fixed, because I didn’t find what they were talking about. I will say that I haven’t seen any previous versions, so this is based off of reading their reviews and what I experienced while reading the book. I would definitely recommend this series and this book. I’m looking forward to the next installment!
***I received a copy of this book for my reading pleasure. All thoughts and opinions are my own.***
I was given a free arc copy from the author for review.

First let me say I am reviewing a newer version as of 2021. I read a few reviews before I started and I see some complaints about critical moments missing to make it feel complete and this version has all those good things.
I absolutely loved this book. I did have to take off half a star due to the secrets and lies at the start that really frustrated me but the other like 95% of it was fabulous. I don’t usually like books that have kids especially when they come from another source outside of the couple, cause I don’t like when the kid drama interferes with the developing relationship. So I really didn’t expect to like this book but I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. I won’t lie. It definitely sped things up, like instalove x1000 but I just loved how they knew they were meant to be and equally jumped all in. It was a very sweet read with plenty of heat and lots of angst but not the relationship kind just lots of the plot drama kind. Sawyer and Ford were fabulous characters from the start of the first book til the end of this one and It was great to see their journey from start to finish. They had amazing chemistry. It did take me a few days to read this one cause it’s longer and life kept interrupting me but I definitely would have read this all at once if I could have cause I did not want to put it down. I definitely recommend these 2 books. Looking forward to Dean and Owens book.
In Forever with His Boss we have the story of what happen as after the HEA.
Ford and Sawyer are in love and planning a future together when life throws them a major curve and then keeps the hits coming. Book one was short and sweet but this one adds a lot more depth and angst to their story. They really have to work for their forever after. What I did like was that it wasn’t just a given they would be together, they have to learn communication, patience, and compromise it was refreshing to read the reality of making a relationship work despite the obstacles they encounter.
As usual, I loved Ford and all his sassy-ness and he really made the book so much more enjoyable. There was a good cast of supporting characters and some truly evil villains to add drama. If I have any criticism of the book it’s that so much is happening and it could have been tightened up a bit to shorten it. I did find my self skipping through a little filler towards the last 1/4 but it was worth it.
A solid and enjoyable read when you’re in the mood for more substance than fluff.
I read this as a box set, so my review encompasses all three books:
This trilogy was so good!! I adored Ford and Sawyer together and their journey (and chemistry) was amazing. Dean and Owen were a fantastic addition – gfy always makes my heart melt. Great reads!!!
This was fantastic!! I was hooked right from the beginning. The first book was a short novella with insta love between Sawyer and Ford. This one is a little more angsty. Sawyer has siblings he wasn’t aware of and becomes their guardians. I loved this story!! Sweetness overload at times! I’m voluntarily leaving a review from an advanced copy that I received.
Great sequel to Stranded with his boss
I don’t think this would work as well as a a standalone, the backstory from book 1 makes a big difference. It’s good to see how complicated and chaotic things can be, even for the wealthy and organised. Every time you think life is getting better, there’s another spanner in the works. Bit of a plot hole considering the ages of the children, since the absent mother has been paid to stay away, yet the youngest is only two. It’s nice to see how much Sawyer changes and develops.
Stranded with His Boss and Forever With His Boss are Amber Falls books one and two by author Rheland Richmond. I got both of these books in one anthology, so I am doing one review for both of them. You do need to read these books in order. Book two picks up where book one left off.
Ford in book one he is desperately looking for a flight out of town for his boss. He is all anxious cause he cannot even get the man a place to stay. They are in a very small town. He has always thought his boss was hot, but he is full of the anxiety of how Sawyer sees him.
I liked by book two these two have gone from awkward stage to full-on love. They are each such great people it is nice to see the transition.
Sawyer is a good person. He is family-oriented and usually a loner. He needs what Ford can bring to him. Family and sense of where he belongs. Once he gets that, he really blossoms into a great person. He has a lot to give both financially and emotionally.
I loved these two together they are the extension of the other person. They bring out the best in each other. I loved the humor in both stories, and the sweet hometown feels. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future.
Five Shooting Stars
Promising start but dragged on too long

I really liked the much briefer first book (Stranded With His Boss) in this Amber Falls series that brought leads Ford and Sawyer together. This follow-up started out well and I really enjoyed the first third or half of the book. But it was long and, at times, just lost my interest after awhile, like during their trip to California, the school play scene and some of the couple’s dates. Steamy scenes were sandwiched in between alot of daily routine broken up by some malcontents who shatter their domestic bliss as this new team of five settle in to life in Amber Falls.
The author did a good job of capturing the feel of emotional uncertainty and upheaval introduced by the sudden introduction of three children into their couples bliss. Savie, Gavin and Callum, along with Ford’s parents, made this a true family affair. The return of the children’s mother and her subsequent actions made for drama but the storyline about the trespassing saboteur at the resort seemed a bit off.
Based on this story I don’t know if I will continue with the series. I generally like MM romances with kids, heart and steam, but this one had me skimming through a considerable share of the last quarter of the book.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I discovered last year a little gem entitled “Stranded with his boss” a sweet short story about how Sawyer and Ford found each other and since then I was waiting for how this story continued. This book featured a wonderful sequel, again with a sweet and endearing story but now with a plot more complex and interesting with some angst situations that caused me heartache and tears balanced with more romance and hot scenes. Ms Richmond again showed us how good she is in creating amazing characters that trapped you in their story because their authenticity and charism, while leading a plot full of obstacles to overcome to get their forever. I strongly recomend to read it after book 1 to fully enjoy the evolution in Sawyer and Ford’s relationship. Simply brilliant!
