Excellent
Read with the sad sensation of “Very Real”
Interesting read for a Senior Citizen, but I like to step out of my comfort zone. I thoroughly appreciated the read. The idea of having links to music was new to me and I enjoyed being exposed to new (and re-enjoying some older) sounds. Nicely written story that I can’t actually say I “enjoyed” only …
This is one of those books you want to see the story unfold more, because life throws diversions in our paths everyday. The sacrifice by Claire beckons the reader to want to see a “happily ever after” for her, because of the unfortunate upbringing in Foster homes since her mother’s death. I can’t wait to read book #2 and #3!
Drives me nuts when a book cuts off without a real ending. But it was a good read until then.
This book was a quick read. You’ll want to continue to read the series. The characters draw you in and make you wonder what’s next, before you know it you’ve finished all the books. Definitely a page turner.
3+ stars. Had some good scenes, plot developments, character presentations. A bit juvenile in the conversation especially regarding sex, emotions, anything personal. I just skim the conjugal descriptions – pretty much all the same except for word choice and attitude.
I love this book!!
Great plot
This book was great. I appreciated the maturity and growth of each character. What ruins it for me is the direction the book takes at the end. How is it that trust is built throughout the book and then decisions are made as if it were never there.
I also am writing this frustrated with how the next two books played out and some serious inaccurate …
I adore Chris and Claire and hope they find HEA.
Claire is a runaway. She ran from her last foster home. She lost her mother who O.D. When she is found trying to sleep on the ground behind a grocery store, she’s taken to a new home with a mother and a son named Chris. Great read.
