A wonderful novella. Even though the story is a short read, the characters are alive. Amanda Mariel’s writing style moves the story quickly through action and dialogue, without characters asking a million questions in their minds. This is an enjoyable book that I read straight through on New Years Eve. What a great way to end the year!
I purchased this book and voluntarily share my opinions with you!
helped climb down. Well not really helped, but he made sure she landed on the ground. A searing kiss later and she took off.
Phoebe had only been trying to escape a rogue by climbing into the tree and ended up with one anyway! She decided at that moment to leave London and return home to the country.
Little did she know that Graham would show up there a few weeks later. She knew she needed to stay away from him but could she?
A delightful dance of two people trying their hardest not to give into there emotions, although fate has a different path they will follow! Loved it!
Forever in Your Arms by Amanda Mariel is the third book in the Mists of Babylon series and an easy-to-read, satisfying romance featuring Lady Phoebe, twin sister to Rebecca, who we met earlier sneaking around Babylon, a ruined castle, and uniting with Camden, her forever love. Phoebe is looking, too, but she is about done with the Season in London. She is running from one rogue when she spies another with his ladylove, about to do the deed in the garden. My God! Does it never end? Of course, she gets caught spying and is enthralled and embarrassed by the gentleman, Graham, who turns out to be a Duke of all things. She leaves London for the peace of the country that is the first person she runs into at Babylon, her sister’s home. Of course.
This is a story about reluctant love and a man who believes he is beyond redemption. Graham is a good man but he has a past. Others can forgive him, but can he forgive himself? He is gentle and kind, thoughtful to a fault. He cares for Phoebe and wants her but believes he will be a terrible husband and hurt her and he wants to save her from that fate. Phoebe is young and at the mercy of her hormones. She can’t make up her mind about how she feels about Graham, not that she really has a choice after what she has done. Them figuring out that they are in love is interesting ready. A fine conclusion to a lovely series. I recommend it. Short and very sweet. Readers will like it.
I received a free ARC of Forever in Your Arms from Wolfbane, an imprint of Dragonblade and part of the de Wolfe connected world. All opinions and interpretations contained herein are solely my own.
Phoebe and Graham have great chemistry from the first time they meet! She has an independent streak, and he’s a bit hesitant to fall in love. He’s a scoundrel–but one with a heart! Their journey is sexy and entertaining. A lovely, romantic story. Don’t miss this one!Amanda Mariel
Enjoyed book 2 of this series more. Book 1 and this one I felt the same. These can be stand alone stories even though you have cross over character’s, you won’t be lost.
I really liked the h and was entertaining how they met. I just didn’t feel a connection to them and I think it was because of the scene in the cabin. Seemed out of character for the h because she knew what the H was capable of and still let me take liberties. The timing at the cabin during a horrible story didn’t seem believable.
What happened to the women that the ton shunned him for? The h never inquired about this – (no spoiler’s.) This would have worked better as a full novel. Not sure why it is De Wolfe listed, because nothing about this family mentioned.
We have passionate kisses and foreplay prior to marriage, heat level 3 out of 5.
There is almost cheating with our H and someone prior to his meeting the h. No cliffhanger, everything wrapped up very quickly, little on romance and small tad of spice. (ljb)
