Enter her … sister’s new love and the baby they’re expecting and suddenly, Stevi thinks she might need more from her own life. Add in some heavy-duty flirting with sexy bartender Duncan Marks and Stevi finds herself a flustered mix of emotions that she isn’t sure how to maneuver. After all, Duncan’s not just a sexy guy good for a fun-while-it-lasts fling. He’s her cousin’s stepbrother; Stevi’s known him for years, and she loves him like family. Not to mention, he’s an integral part of the Queen’s success.Duncan Marks can’t keep his eyes off Stevi anymore. He’s tired of trying to behave. Stevi’s a beautiful, lively woman, and she’s flirting back, which means she’s ready to play, right? But the closer he gets to Stevi, the more he wants from her, maybe even forever.

This was a great read by Tracy Broemmer. Stevi goes on many dates that go nowhere. She stays busy as co-owner of the Mississippi Queen. She lives with her sister Leajh who is engaged and pregnant. So she feels it’s time to get her own place. Duncan works at the Queen and is one of her best friends. They have always flirted but lately their flirting has gotten more intense. Duncan has wanted Stevi for a long time but he worries what will happen if things didn’t work out. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is becoming to stay away. Will they risk their friendship for a chance at something more? Read to find out!
A friends to lovers romance. Stevi dates. A lot. But she doesn’t do relationships. She’s got a great life as co-owner of the Mississippi Queen. She and her sister share a home, and Leah’s engaged and pregnant. Stevi begins to feel like something might be missing in that life. Duncan’s stepsister is another of the bar’s co-owners, and while he’s not an owner, he is a vital component in its success. Their flirting starts to become more than just joking, and they have to figure out what they want. Well, Duncan knows what he wants – he’s had the hots for Stevi for a long time, but has to figure out how to get to where he wants to be with her. She needs to figure out what type of life she really wants, and can she do forever. With him. I love this book, probably as much as Love, Nashville. The main characters are terrific and belong together, the supporting characters are keeping with how they were in the last book (consistency counts). I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this couple find their happy ending. The story moves along, never boring. (Can we have a Margo book?)

The second book in The Mississippi Queen Trilogy series a well written story that held my interest throughout. A great storyline and the story flows smoothly across the pages. This is Stevi Hague and bartender Duncan Marks’ story these are two people that have to learn to talk to each other. I enjoyed reading this story. After reading and enjoying the first book Love, Nashville I could not wait to give this one a go and it is another really good read. It is a good friends to lovers romance I really liked both Stevi and Duncan they were good likable characters and I thought they were really well suited I enjoyed their story.
Stevi and Duncan knew each other forever and is the best of friends. But then the flirting is getting more then just playing around and they cannot ignore their feelings any longer. But what if they take it further and it does not work out – where does it leave their friendship? And what about the bar, the business they built together with her sister and cousin? This is a friends to lovers story, written with so much emotion, you feel as if you are part of their experience and the emotional roller coaster. Another great read from this author.

Oh Stevie, sigh…Oh Duncan, bigger sigh. I enjoy them so much, but you just want to shake them out of their own heads and push them out of their own way. The story moves along beautifully and comes together into something wonderful.

Whilst judging a book by its cover it’s human nature, it’s up to us to go beyond that. After Love, Nashville it was easy to think that Stevi actually lives what she prays but what if it’s just a cover to keep everyone at arm’s length?
Duncan works with her at the bar and anybody who pays an iota of attention knows he has it bad for Stevi and when she finally starts flirting back all bets are off, he wants her forever.
It’s so easy to fall for this series, the characters, the plot, the writing.

Loved this book I got pulled into the story & the great characters. Stevi runs a club the ‘Mississippi Queen’ with her sister and cousin but feels like something is missing in her life especially when now her sister & new boyfriend are having a baby. She has started feeling mixed emotions about Duncan but tries to hold back because he’s her cousin’s step-brother. Working together is making it impossible he cant keep his eyes off her especially when they begin innocently flirting with each other. I had to read in one go as needed to know if they gave into the obvious hot chemistry they have.
Sometimes when you read a good book, the characters and location pop off the page, and you just want to go to that place and time and be swept away in that moment. That’s how I felt when I read the latest story in Tracy Broemmer’s Mississippi Queen series.
Standalone, book 2—Forever, Duncan—is sexy and angsty. It pairs Stevi Hague and Duncan Marks, long-term friends, co-workers, and not quite relatives.
While Stevi comes off as loose in Love, Nashville (book 1 of the series), the reader quickly learns in Forever, Duncan that Stevi’s past behavior is really all for show in an effort to hold everyone at arm’s length. It’s the only way to protect her tender heart.
Duncan, Stevi’s cousin’s step-brother, is a protector at heart, but he can barely keep his eyes off Stevi when they’re working together. But when the innocent flirting between them turns edgy and hot, keeping his hands off her is impossible!
This is another great read from Tracy Broemmer!
