Forever Broken is Cheyenne and Max’s story and the final Brentwood book. This book from the beginning was fast paced with a lot of action heading to the inevitable conclusion and battle with Blade. The development of their relationship was quick but felt very natural. Even though Cheyenne abs Max were thrown together because of circumstance their love for each other was always there. Their was a lot of suspense and danger up until the end and for me the conclusion was very surprising but absolutely perfect for this series. I’m sad that this series is over but I couldn’t think of a more perfect ending! Highly recommended!
Forever Broken, I think this was my favorite from the series. Loved this book and the series. Max and Cheyenne’s story was awesome. I’m sad this series is complete but I look forward to reading more books from Carrie Ann Ryan!
Loved this amazing series,Cheyenne an Maxs amazing beautiful broken addicting intense love story was amazing, need more
WOW! This was the final book in the series and what a finish! I cried, I screamed, I smiled. This book was so full of emotions that I was hooked and did not put it down. I was absorbed. Cheyenne and Max have been through hell and more, but they do come out with a HEA. No spoilers given here!
I absolutely loved the way everything played out and things.. ummm… were resolved. Although I hate for the characters to go through the torture, it was meant to be.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Forever Broken is the last book in the Talon pack series. This was a great ending to the series, even though I’m very sad it’s ending. The Talon pack has come so far, they have gotten rid of the evil in the pack, fought humans and are now fighting Blade, a rival alpha. Max has has always the fun loving one until the night he lost his arm. He is not the same man he was. Cheyenne’s friend have all become part of the talon pack, leaving her the odd man out and ready to separate herself from the pack. She is brought back into the fold when Blade kidnaps her and the moon goddess steps in and changes everything. Blade has appointed himself the supreme alpha, how will they talons fight against that kind of power? Will evil finally prevail?
This is a good conclusion to the series. It could be read as a standalone but would definitely get more out of it if the previous books are read first. Loved Max and Cheyenne together and how much they grow during this story.
I’m going to start by saying I almost didn’t want to read this book. Because if I read the book, that meant the series was over. And I love the Talon Series, and the Redwood series, and really didn’t want to see them end. But, I HAD to know what happened! So, even though it meant the end, I started reading. And then, I couldn’t stop reading! There were so many things going on, all at the same time, that I was afraid if I stopped reading, I’d miss something.
Max was always the fun Brentwood, the one that was always smiling, until he lost part of himself in a battle. Everything changed then, his personality, his outlook on life, his place in the pack. And he wasn’t sure how to get back to who he was, or if he should even try. He wasn’t sure how to move on or where he should go from there. Cheyenne is human, part of the pack, but not. One by one, her friends have mated, leaving her behind. She decides to pull back, away from them, until something tragic thrusts her back into pack life, in a way no one could have ever imagined. The connection between Max and Cheyenne is immediate, and perfect, magical and beautiful. And so much more than I ever expected!
This book…..there is so much I want to say, but I don’t want to give anything away! The writing in this book is so realistic, the details so vivid, so lifelike, I could taste, smell, hear, see what was happening. My heart was racing during almost the entire book. This book was phenomenal, the beginning, the middle, the ending, it was all so amazing! And that ending! I just can’t get over that ending! I never could have imagined anything like that! Both the Redwood and Talon pack series have become some of my very favorite PNR, some that I’ve read over and over. This was an ending fit for a series that has kept me engrossed since the very first book, and just might be my favorite out of them all!
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
I was going to start this review off with a joke but then you wouldn’t get it until you read the book. So…instead this is what you get! There’s a human named Cheyenne and a wolf named Max. Between the two they’re on the outside of their respective “clans” if you will. All of her friends have mated to werewolves so she’s been distancing herself. Max was severely injured and took a long time to recover. Of course you know this does a number on anyone psyche but for a werewolf it’s much worse.
Thankfully Max didn’t want to leave Cheyenne on the outside. As no one might have known she was missing! You see…there’s a bad guy after the Talon Pack and they’ve been trying to get rid of him for quite a while.
All is about to break loose in this book…which is quite fun! I enjoyed reading the ending to this series. Max & Cheyenne’s story is unconventional but a perfect match nonetheless. If you’re a reader of this series I think you’ll be happy with the way the author ends the series.
This was an excellent way to end the Talon Series this was the last in the series and was Max and Cheyenne’s book. They are both broken in their own way and don’t really want to rely on anyone but themselves but something changes that neither expected or could have predicted that makes it impossible to stay alone anymore. The Talons are still in danger and must figure out how to handle the threat that is brought to them, without losing anymore than they already have. Overall, I have loved this series and did from the start it is well written the characters all have a way of drawing you in and falling for them. The story lines are all unique and gives the reader a complete well rounded story. Totally loved this story and couldn’t put it down once, I began, I needed to know what would happen and how it would play out. Max and Cheyenne are both strong, dominant and loyal characters and deserved the story they received.
This is the heart melting, action packed, stunning conclusion to the Talon Pack series. Cheyenne and Max’s story was truly everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful, sweet and steamy, this couple easily steals your heart as they struggle with the chaos and danger around them; while at the same time finding their other half and perfect mate. I love a book that has a couple that fits perfectly together and for me, Max and Cheyenne did. They made each other more and they made each other better. Of coarse there is a lot going on story wise as all the drama, danger and suspense that has been building during this series reaches the boiling point. I’m sad to say goodbye to this amazing series but I am happy and satisfied by the ending.
This epic finale was so much more than I expected. Max & Cheyanne’s story Was heartbreaking, sweet and the heat level sizzles from start to finish. I already adored Max from previous read and it wasn’t hard to fall in love with him now when he finally finds the one that was meant for him. His character perseverance and strength throughout the story was enduring and his chemistry with Cheyanne was off the hook hot. A great ending to a wonderful series and a definite must read for those who enjoy paranormal romance reads.
Forever Broken is Max and Cheyenne’s story but it is so much more than that. This story brings the battle with Blade to its conclusion bringing the packs into a new future. This story had me riding an emotional roller coaster that had me laughing one moment, crying the next and biting my nails throughout. I’ll admit to a bit of a thrill as Max has always been one of my favorite characters and I was thrilled to watch him grow and fall in love. I hope the author continues her wolf stories so that maybe we can check in with Max at some point in the future. This story will fill you up and leave you smiling.
Every time I step into this world I am one that is drowned and swept away thanks to the writing. The character sneaky that they are slowly wrap around you, seeping into you with their depth and emotions. Before you realize it you are lost in them sucked into the story. Cheyenne is the last of her friends whom takes a 360 turn. How she does it is only the beginning that opens the door to some fast pace reading. Max is one that can capture any heart of a reader with having gotten ours. The two of them in this will be the sneaky I spoke of. I needed to know, with also seeing and feeling it all. This one will also be the mountain that takes your breath. So needless to say this author has done it again better than ever.
How much more can this pack take, how much can my poor heart take? How do you even begin to rebuild and make a family whole after such a strain? By truly becoming a pack, that’s what this last Talon book proves!
Amazing ending to a wonderful series! I fell in love with Ryan’s Redwood pack which lead me to the the Talon pack. All the books are amazing!
Max was one of my favorites through all of the Talon books. He was the happy-go-lucky guy always finding the good in a person or situation. Then he was seriously injured and our happy guy changed so much. I missed him.
I related best with Cheyenne of all the 4 girls in Dawn’s group of friends. Cheyenne is a vet and grounded in science. She had trouble with being so close to the pack. However, her association also made her a target. She and Max shared an unspoken attraction, but neither acted upon it.
When Max learns Cheyenne’s in trouble all of his protective instincts surge forward.
These two are a great match. Both feel as if they don’t belong and are misfits, but with some divine intervention and each other, they find themselves the key to the pack survival! Cheyenne is the key to getting our Max to smile again. 🙂
Great twists and turns in this book! I couldn’t out it down. This book as well as the whole series (Talon and Redwoods) are must reads!
This was a bittersweet read. One I loved, because I love this series, this pack, this family. But one I knew was ending…at least for now (hopefully). This was Max & Cheyanne’s story, and it starts out with high stress levels. Not gonna lie, you’re pretty much going to feel like that throughout, but that’s to big expected when you know a big battle will be coming. But there’s also the good feels, the love and family and togetherness. If you haven’t read this series yet, you need to!! This will forever be a favorite series of mine, I can’t wait to jump in and start from the beginning again!!!
OMG Cheyenne and Max’s story is amazing. And it’s such a fabulous ending to the Talon Pack series. It’s worth each and every indrawn breath, every tear and each sob. It’s also worth each and every fist pump and all of the happiness that the tiny things brought me – like the belt loop thing, that gave me so much warm fuzzies – and Cheyenne’s easy acceptance and determined manner in being called up front and centre in the fight with Blade, that filled me with so much admiration for her character. That said Max and his long hard road that he’s been on since he was injured so severely was so inspirational and so heartwarming that I felt like giving him a hug each and every time he doubted his worth – but I knew he was a hero through and through, he just needed to be given a quest to unfurl his cape, and with Cheyenne by his side they can both be the heroes they’ve always been in their hearts. And then some.
This is an absolutely perfect ending to the Talon Pack series.
What a conclusion of a series!! Loved it!! The twists and turns of the characters. I loved how all the series tied together and worked with each other!! You can’t go wrong with any of this series!!
I’ve been both looking forward to Forever Broken, and dreading it at the same time. As the last of the Talon series, I couldn’t wait to find out what happens! But I didn’t want it end either.
I really wanted to stretch Forever Broken out, and make it last. Unfortunately, Carrie Ann Ryan had other plans! Once I got started, it was almost impossible to put down!
Both Max and Cheyenne are familiar characters. Each feeling like outsiders for very different reasons.
I don’t want to give anything away, because Ryan has crafted an amazing story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and up way past your bedtime for “just one more chapter.”
While it is bittersweet, Ryan did an amazing job of ending the Talon series. She’s added a couple of twists and turns that you won’t see coming, and of course, all the feels and steam we’ve come to expect.
What a great finale to the Talon pack series. Max and Cheyenne are amazing. I loved this book and didn’t want it to end!
