The epic conclusion to the Talon Pack
The final book in this amazing series will leave you breathless with anticipation and tears in your eyes as more shifters destinies are fulfilled Surprises galore and a beautiful mating from the goddess herself between Max and Cheyenne that neither expected, but that both roll with the changes
A beautiful story that left me with goosebumps and I’m eager to read the Redwoods stories as I started with the Talons, so would be good to get some background and hopefully will tie me over until we come back to this series if Carrie decides to do that
This is the ninth as well as last book in The Talon Pack series. Carrie Ann Ryan did a beautiful job of tying up lose ends, uniting other packs to take down Blade who let power & greed go to his head, and bringing Max & Cheyenne together as mates. I couldn’t put this one down til I reached the last page. I loved watching Max & Cheyenne find love & and their place within the pack as they both thought they didn’t really have one or were all that important. That they were always on the outside looking in. But that was the farthest thing from the truth. Carrie Ann Ryan you had me laughing, crying, cheering, and wondering all through this story. And, you did beautiful job with how this ends. I hope one day we get to see how Max & Cheyenne handle their new role and what happens to the Aspen pack as well as Audrey.
I never saw this one coming. While I have been reading the Talon pack and had hopes that Chey would not be left behind in the human world, I really was not prepared for her story. From the violent begin to the unexpected end, it was well worth every lost moment of sleep. I will miss the Talons but look forward to the promise of more
I requested and received an ARC of this book, I am reviewing of my own volition.
Cheyenne was terrified, Blade the Alpha of the Aspens has her. She’s going to die, she knows it and for some purpose only Blade understands.
Blade has an artifact that he is activating, one he shouldn’t have. Now that he has proclaimed himself Supreme Alpha, he needs this artifact to show all the Alpha’s he means business.
But Cheyenne didn’t die, thanks to Max and the Moon Goddess, and now she is some sort of catalyst for the artifact. It’s also killing her and Blade every time he activates it.
A tense, extremely emotional, touching and tearful end to this series.
What a way to end the Talon Pack series! I mean it was impossible to put this book down because I needed to find out how it all ended. I was so not disappointed! I loved Cheyenne and Max. I couldn’t imagine their story happening any other way. I am thrilled to get this book but it is also bittersweet because I have loved every book in this series and saying goodbye to these characters is hard. I only hope to see more from the Redwoods and Talons down the road.
I really had mixed emotions about reading Forever Broken, on one hand I love this series and have been waiting for Max’s book for a while but knowing this is the last one for a while is sad!! Carrie Ann didn’t disappoint though Forever Broken might just be my favorite of the series.
Max Brentwood has always been a happy guy with a smile on his face, being the youngest Brentwood he was shielded from a lot of the evil his uncle and father brought the pack. That all changed when the war with the humans came to their front door. Max almost died in that attack, loosing his arm was the price he paid. Max feels he is broken and on the outside looking in on his pack and family, everyone is mated and has been blessed by the moon goddess with a position in the pack, everyone but him.
Cheyenne Liles feels left behind in a way, all of her friends have mated into the Talon pack and now are immortal. Cheyenne has made the decision to pull away from her friends, not wanting them to see her age and eventually die, its the only thing she can do. Until one night leaving work the threat to the Talon pack comes to her, kidnapping her with an intent she doesn’t want to think of.
Forever Broken has all of the feels…..it is a story about two people who hardly know each other but have so much in common come together for the greater good of the pack. Max and Cheyenne have to find their way through a very difficult situation to save the pack and find out that they had a destiny that neither one of them could have foreseen.
All I can say is WOW. This book was bittersweet for me as I knew the series was coming to an end and so excited to see what Max and Cheyenne had in store for them. This store held my attention from page one. I was pleased to see Max and Cheyenne together and the solid united front they immediately had, I hurt for both that many decisions were taken away for them for the greater good. This book exceeded my expectations. Well done Ms. Ryan well done!!!!
I want more stars!! The first chapter makes you catch your breath in anticipation. Cheyenne was kidnapped by Blade (the local psychopath alpha) to get power. Max was part of the Talon family but felt like he didn’t really belong since he lost his arm. It was fascinating to watch these two learn their way together and with the help of the pack. So much went on that was heartbreaking – it kept you wondering how it would turn out. By the time I got to the end of the book, it was, of course – that works. I can only hope when Carrie has time, we get an update from all these wonderful people.
I got this book from Carrie Ann Ryan for an honest review. Kudos, kudos. One of your best.
The emotionally thrilling conclusion to the Talan Pack series had me all over the spectrum of reactions from laughing out loud to sobbing like a baby… (much to my hubby’s discomfort) Yes I was that girl crying that one of my favorite series came to an end and I devoured the last bit…. Such a highly entertaining and riveting read, coming to the end was sad but still loved this heart pounding adventure.
Having started this series back in 2015, this is a joyous bittersweet ending. This family has gone through so much, but through their bonds and love for each other they have prevailed. Max has always been the one I’ve rooted for since he seemed to be the one that lost the most over time. The resolution of this good versus evil series was brilliant AND left room for a new series to continue the story line.
Awesome finale to the Talon Pack series. I didn’t see it coming. Blade is still crazy for power and he finds a way to be the all mighty Alpha. Cheyenne is brought to the middle of packs war, she is human but has fought by the Talon Pack side. Max doesn’t know where he belongs, who he really is. He is broken until Cheyenne comes along and then everything clicks. The end of the war is coming and they are both key factors. It’s an exciting story though I am sad that it’s over. This series has been full of action, romance, sexy Alphas, and strong mates. A wonderfully weaved paranormal world (wolves, cats, witches, moon goddess) and they all come together for this unexpected end. Loved it!
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book!
I am so sad that the Talon Pack series has come to an end.
It is time for Cheyenne + Max to find their HEA.
It was also nice to revisit the other members of the pack
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Another read by Carrie Ann Ryan that is absolutely stunning, heart wrenching, suspenseful, and amazing.
Max and Cheyenne are the perfect broken match for each other, their timidness grows into strengths. The relationship blossoms into love. And their characters grow over the course of this novel from the broken people they see in the mirror to the strong people they have always been. Carrie Ann always, always, always delivers strong characters, but these two reached me on a deeper level. I felt their pain and fear, their happiness as they grew. It was amazing to read.
The ending had me on the edge of my seat, when a certain character made her appearance. Her announcement! I audibly gasped completely blown away by what Carrie Ann had done. She created the perfect couple for the perfect job.
This was the absolute perfect ending to this series. I adored the Redwoods, cautiously fell in love with the Talon Pack, but Cheyenne and Max sealed the deal. I already cannot wait to read this book again.
This is the conclusion to the Talon Pack series and boy, what a ride. There are so many twists and turns that had me eager to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. I hesitate to say too much for fear of giving anything away. This is a great story well worth reading.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Carrie Ann Ryan magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
The finale the Talon pack deserved! So much amazing emotion and action in these pages! Loved that Cheyanne and Max had to do a quick adjust to a head-spinning mating, and that the awkwardness of such an unexpected connection wasn’t glanced over but the reader got to fall in love with their hea as they accepted and developed it together. The war strategy lended itself to some surprises and excitement, and the big battle was great. Could’ve used even more of it to be honest, not bc it wasn’t awesome but bc it was ~so~ awesome. The touchbacks to all the cast of characters in the series were a feel-good awww, and made my heart squeeze. Love this world, these characters, and a finale worthy of the journey!
I absolutely loved this story! It was a fantastic read! It drew me in from beginning to end! I was so happy to finally get to read Max’s story! I think on some level that you really need to read the Talon Pack series to fully enjoy and understand everything going on in this story. I do think that Carrie Ann Ryan writes this in a way that you might be able to pick up this story and read it and understand what is going and enjoy but not to the same level. She does give flashback and backstory to things that you need to know to get this one but not in a way that will annoy readers that have read the previous stories. Max has been in the Talon Pack books from the beginning and so if you have read them you know what he was like before his major injury and why his personality change is such a thing. I loved Cheyenne as well. We have gotten to know her as a character as well from the last couple of books since she is best friends with previous heroines. I LOVE how Max and Cheyenne were brought together in this story! It is so well done and while it has evil’s hands involved, there so much more to it! The story is weaved beautifully and once I started reading, I literally couldn’t put the story down. I had to find out how this series would come to an end and how they would defeat their horrible enemy this time around. I knew this was the planned finale for the series and it definitely satisfies! As much as I don’t want to say goodbye to the Talon’s (and can’t wait to see where things go from here), I can say that everything was tied up and I felt like I could say goodbye (for now!).
There is plenty of action and intrigue within this story! It will hold your attention wondering what is going to pop out next and how they are going to deal with what they have ahead them. There is also a beautiful romance written in with Max and Cheyenne. They have been dealt a hand that they aren’t sure what to do with. Neither expected to find a mate or be each other’s mates. But they move forward in such a great way. I loved that aspect of the book. The sex is explicit and blended perfectly into the story. It’s not a large aspect of it as there is so much else going on. Fans of this series will absolutely enjoy this story!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is the final book in the Talon Pack series. It is a fast paced, full of action , but also beautiful story. Cheyenne is the only non shifter among her friends. She is taken by Blade to use as a sacrifice and calls to Max to save her. We’ve seen Max in the other books and have grown to know him. I love that their bond isn’t an insta love/ insta lust deal. You can tell that they’ve each had feeling for the other but the circumstances that they are forced to deal with magnifies and escalates the chemistry so much so that there is no way the could be anything but perfect for each other. An amazing conclusion to a much loved series!
Talon Pack #9, The final book of the series! This makes me sad even though I know she’s not done with this world and she plans to come back at some future point this was the genre I fell in love with her writing way back in the beginning with The Redwood Pack. So it is sad for me to see the characters go I’m happy they all have HEAs at least for the time being.
Cheyenne Liles is the last of her friends to get something more than Friend of the Pack status. She was ready to move on with her life move away and start again somewhere new until the bastard Alpha Leader of the Aspen Pack kidnaps her and starts torturing her. After he leaves her for dead something happens that leads up to a chain of events that changes everything.
Max was broken, not the same shifter he once was, no longer the happy one always ready with a joke not letting the packs horrible past get to him. No one comes away from an epic battle without some damage and due to the events in the last story arc Max was forever changed. He never thought he could find his mate and be a good mate and it never even registered that his attraction to Cheyenne might be something more until her life was on the line and then suddenly the bond was there. With Cheyenne surviving they had some clue as to what their enemy was up to but nothing prepared them for him actually doing it.
Overall, this was one hell of a conclusion and one I didn’t expect. I kept distracting myself at the end of the book because I was delaying the inevitable, I really did not want this to end. It was an emotional and freaking HOT romance Max and Cheyenne finding out how they fit together and how together they fit with the pack. I love how CAR writes a battle scene how it’s total chaos but her writing isn’t it just portrays the chaos and the violence, it’s edge of your seat, holding your breath, and reading as fast as you can action.
What an awesome series finale! I loved how the characters from the Talon, Redwoods and Central packs are brought together. A touching conclusion to a great series. Cheyenne may be human but it all rests on her shoulders. There is one surprise after another in this book. I really enjoyed it. I received an advanced copy of this book. I freely leave this honest review.
