USA Today Bestselling Author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson is back with another hilarious and fun Lily Sprayberry Cozy Mystery, and this time, there’s a battle between besties, but not the ones you’d think! LILY SPRAYBERRY SELLS HOMES AND SOLVES CRIMES. I made a promise to my husband, the Bramblett County Sheriff. I promised I wouldn’t put my life at risk doing his job, which really means keep my nose … his job, which really means keep my nose out of his investigations. Easy, peasy, right?
Nope.
What am I supposed to do when I find my potential client’s son standing over her dead body? Just hand it over to my hubby like nothing’s happened?
Believe me, I’ve tried, but I just can’t let it go.
It’s either hunt down a killer or stick my nose in the middle of Bramblett County’s version of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s, Bonnie and Henrietta, two senior Southern ladies in the midst of a tiff.
Truth be told, I’d put myself up against a murderer any day if it kept me from taking sides between those two! Risking my life is one thing but getting between those two is something no person in their right mind should do.
Oh, who am I kidding? I can’t stop myself from trying to help them too. I just hope I come out of this alive. And that’s for both the murder investigation, and the battling biddies.

Lily is back on the case again, no matter how much her husband Sheriff Dylan wishes she wasn’t. Older best friends are fighting and Lily is trying to help resolve that, as well as assist in finding the killer of Alice Crowley. A truly wonderful book with great characters. I definitely recommend this book! I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
This is such an entertaining series. The story is really good as Lily once again finds a body and we follow her as she attempts to “help” find the murderer, getting herself in a spot. Meanwhile Henrietta and Bonnie’s feud is affecting everyone in town and they are pretty tired of it. Looks like an intervention is in order. But Lily isn’t feeling very well. Hope she is ok.

Sometimes it’s best to just call it quits
I have slowly come to realize that this series has completely soured me on this author. I’m all for imagination and a good read, I really am. But having worked for 2 full decades with the elderly, I came to revere and respect them. This series makes elderly women seem like irresponsible and immoral bitter hags. I’ve been around many areas of the world and have never met such an uncouth depiction of elderly in my entire life. It’s demoralising and an insult…especially to Southern women in the States.
To have the main character and her sidekick always bring up being Southern belles and hoping to emulate these two characters is just more than I am willing to tolerate. Authors, like most people whose work is out there for the general public, influence their readers. I hope younger readers never get it into their heads that this kind of behaviour is acceptable or even okay. In a time where influence is everywhere, keeping a healthy moral compass in a genre that is supposed to be fairly acceptable, I’m letting go of my attachment to this author.
Life is much too short to waste it on stories that literally sicken me any more.
I love this series Lilly is a realtor and goes to meet a client only to find a dead body so she investigates. I love the all secondary characters and all the world building. I highly recommend this series.

Another wonderful Lily Sprayberry book! What starts out as a simple meeting with a client to list their house for sale quickly turns horrible when Lily and Belle find the homeowner shot to death. And so begins the search for the killer by Lily even though her husband, Dylan, the Sheriff of Bramblett County, wants her to stay out of it. Absolutely wonderful characters and a mystery that will keep you up late into the night trying to figure out who did it. Can’t wait for the next one!
Lily Sprayberry is such a great character. I like how she’s there to support and help everyone. She cares and it shows. When she and her BFF arrive to meet with Alice Crowder to see about selling her home, they find her body. Her son is hysterical and begging for help. Lily knows that she needs to give him closure. However Lily’s husband, Sheriff Dylan Roberts, doesn’t like that plan. He loves her and wants to keep her safe. As these two struggle with this issue, I had to smile at the Sheriff’s plan. He’s smart, but Lily is no pushover. She’s determined to get the answers needed to solve the murder. In spite of her husband. I was sure she could solve the crime, though I was wasn’t certain that she would be able to settle the feud between Henrietta and Bonnie. These two are a force of nature. I really hoped the town would survive. As usual Carolyn Ridder Aspenson entertained me. The dialogue sparkles with sass and I love the characters. It’s fun coming to this small town where people care about each other and there are no secrets. I’m anxious to see what happens with Lily and Dylan.
Lily is supposed to do a real estate assessment for a sale. When she arrives the home owners son comes out screaming his mom is dead. Lily gets right into action assessing what’s going on. Did the husband or son kill her? There is plenty of twists and turns throughout the book. The hysterically funny moments make this book so enjoyable. This series is worth reading all of it. You won’t be disappointed. You will laugh at the antics of this town. Received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Lily Sprayberry has an appointment with Alice Crowder who she discovers murders and her hysterical son Buddy. This begins the latest novel in the series about a stolen car ring and the question of who killed Alice with plenty of suspects. The Best part of the book for me is the feud between best friends oldsters Henrietta Harvey and Bonnie Bass at Millie’s Cafe which is absolutely hilarious. A delightful book, highly recommended
I really liked this book. It’s a great mystery and has some suspense to it, too. This is a stand alone book, but it does have a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It’s best if you’ve read the other books in the series, so you get the full effect of how much Lily has matured and started to realize the consequences of her actions. There are funny parts, especially with the feud between Henrietta and Bonnie. Some of the dialog is laugh out loud funny. I received an advance reader’s copy of the book, which doesn’t influence my review. I would really like this book even if I had paid for it.
Another wonderful addition to the Lily Sprayberry Realtor Series by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. I could put the kindle down until I finished the story!
While Lily and Belle visit a potential new client, Alice Crowder who ends shot to death. Lily decides it’s her reasonability to get in the middle of the investigation even after her husband, Dylan Roberts the chief as her get in the middle of the investigation. But Lily would prefer to deal with the investigation then deal with the fighting between Henrietta and Bonnie. Old Man Goodson and Billy Ray going to move to Alabama and take up with some ladies if Henrietta and Bonnie don’t stop their fighting.
On another note, Lily is keeping a secret…
Lilly Spayberry series is a fairly light series, and a good mystery. Ms Aspenson creates a solid world and interesting characters. I recommend this book and series to anyone who doesn’t want an intense thriller type of book. This book is an easy diversion from life.
In Foreclosure Fatality, Lily once again ends up in t he middle of a murder investigation. This is a well written, challenging, cozy mystery with an interesting cast of recurring characters. I always enjoy mysteries from Carolyn Ridder Aspenson because I almost never figure them out!
5 stars all the way!
The books in this series just keep getting better and better. And that’s quite a feat when the books were already very good; to top that is really a great achievement! This one was my favorite in this series! I just love Lily! She MIGHT have a secret… Ah but don’t we all? But for that alone it’s worth the read! Of course I also adore Belle. And Bonnie and Henrietta are so funny! 5 stars all the way! The mystery kept me guessing until the end. Love with a capital L!
Lily Sprayberry may be the unluckiest realtor around, she is also the most curious. Lily and Belle have an appointment to look at a house that is going on the market. When they arrive the son of the client they are going to see runs from his home yelling, ”Help! Mom’s been shot!”, Lily finds her client in the house in a puddle of blood. Once again Lily finds herself in the middle of a murder, the clues are adding up, will she end up the next victim? I love this series, the stories are engaging and the side characters are always entertaining. Another winner for Carolyn Ridder Aspenson.
Foreclosure Fatality (Lily Sprayberry Realtor #7), my sixth highly enjoyable read from author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson. Well-written & enjoyable, reminiscent of the early writing of Karin Slaughter. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).

Love these Little Cozy Books.
This fast-paced cozy mystery is a great addition to the series! Lily finds a potential client dead in her home and is determined to find the killer. The writing is skillful, the multi-layered plot is nice and twisty, and the main characters are well developed. I’m looking forward to the next book. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
Marriage brings out the best in Lily!
Lily and Dylan are settling into married life and I like how they wear it. This marriage is bringing out the best in both of them.
Lily’s closest circle of friends include her husband/Dylan, faithful canine/Bo, her BFF/Belle, and Belle’s boyfriend/Matthew (who also happens to be Dylan’s best friend). Included in her close circle of friends are six senior citizens that add a healthy dose of comedy and a bit of calamity to the story.
This whodunit was one I won’t soon forget. It really pulled and twisted my heart strings. I must stop writing about it now or I am liable to reveal a spoiler or two and that just won’t do!
Including the novellas, I have finished reading nine books in this series and I rate this story as the overall best. If you enjoy an exceptionally good, well-written whodunit peppered with romance and sprinkled with plenty of comedy on the side, then pick up this book to read today. It was a clean, fun, entertaining, and easy read.
I voluntarily wrote this honest review after the author gifted me with an ARC of the book. The expressed opinions are mine alone.
