On paper, he’s perfect. In real life, he’s even better. From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, S.L. Scott, comes a new compelling Standalone Suspense Romance that has been called “Best of 2019” and “Heart-stoppingly Beautiful.”Winter Nobleman is complicated. To say the least. It was supposed to be simple. Go to Paris, find a client’s daughter, and close a multi-million-dollar deal. … multi-million-dollar deal. Easy. Then I meet her. Stormy blue eyes, quick wit, and the secrets she keeps on the tip of her tongue make me forget my mission for a moment, or six, and why I’m in Paris in the first place—to bring her home.
Distracted by her beauty, I fail to notice the others lurking with missions of their own.
Bennett Everest is the twist I never saw coming. Talk about perfect timing.
He steals my breath the first time I see him and breathes hope back into my heart. He’s a giant in my eyes, a king among men with patience and love to share in spades. Six foot three. Whiskey-colored eyes. Solid gold on the inside. Despite the dirty deeds of my past, he sees the person I am meant to be and not the person I have become.
If the lies don’t kill us, will the truth set us free?

What a captivating read! Force of Nature is full of suspense with a side of romance that draws you in and keeps you wanting more. The chemistry between Bennett and Winter is off the charts from the very beginning….
The 3rd book in this series is truly amazing! S.L. Scott hit it out of the Eiffel Tower with this one. Such a beautiful, strong female lead. Winter Nobleman is a true force of nature. Bennett Everest is as swoon worthy as his brothers. He really pack on the charm and romance. This book was so amazing because not only did it have romance but, it was also action packed and suspenseful. Magnifique, Belle, Charmant! Je vocus remercie!!!
It’s pretty handy that S.L. Force decided to title her latest book Force of Nature because she herself has become a force! She’s this unstoppable driving force knocking down hearts and inflicting damage to every set of eyes that soak up her words. Miss Scott pulls out every single emotion from her readers. I’ve loved all her books, everything is always fantastic, but this… Force of Nature is everything that I want and need in a romance.
Bennett and Winter’s story felt like a whirlwind! The way Scott portrays their relationship seems so real to me, they are full on intense, strong, and fierce and the next minute they’re fun and light. It’s something that I found incredibly endearing and unbelievably relatable. There was something about this storyline that make me desperate to read… the angst, the passion, the suspense all mixed and mingled to create a storyline that wouldn’t quit, that wouldn’t let go.
I’ve read most of SL Scott’s books and I really think this one is my favorite. Scott has offered up all of my favorite genres… romance, suspense, insta-love. Even then, it isn’t just what Scott writes but how she writes it. The travel and food made me yearn for a change of scene, but it also made my mouth water. I swear, the way she puts her words together draws a scene in your mind. The reader will SEE and FEEL it all! I’ve been stalking Audible watching for the audiobook because I know it’s going to take this story up another notch with Sebastian York and Ava Erickson as the voices!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
Bennett Everest is on a mission in order to secure contract. It sounds easy – go to Paris and bring home a woman to her father back in the US. Yet once he meets the mysterious Winter Nobleman he realizes that there is much more to her than meets the eye.
Winter Nobleman did everything that was expected of her to work at her father’s company yet it wasn’t enough for him so she took another job and hoped to be able to prove herself to her dad once again. Only it completely worked against her and now she finds herself in Paris living in somewhat of a nightmare that is not evident to anyone except herself.
Bennett believes he can bring Winter home to her father but soon realizes it is more complex than he ever could have imagined. Is Winter a pawn in a game that her father is playing and will Bennett allow himself to be drawn in?
This is such a great read and an amazing series!! I need to find myself an Everest boy as they are all absolutely amazing!!
Bennett headed to Paris on what he thought was a simple task – collect Winter and then go home but nothing really prepared him for Winter. Yet when Bennett makes a little mistake he is at risk to lose Winter until he can prove his intentions.
I liked Winter a lot and soon I realized she was in her own trouble with what happened with Kurt. I crossed my fingers that Winter could rise above everything and realize she was in a better place with Bennett but for awhile it really didn’t look good!
I loved when things were slowly revealed and you got to see a much larger picture with everything that was going on and I was freaking out so bad once we got to see certain things.
I was definitely worried when Winter went to get her mom’s things as I had a feeling things would not be good and I was shocked at how everything went from there. I was so proud of Chelsea for helping Winter and how she realized that she wasn’t as bad as at what she was perceived to be initially.
The chemistry between Winter and Bennett was through the roof and I had my fingers crossed so many times that things would work out.
I loved the end with the link between Winter and her mom and everything that happened!! It was so awesome!!
I truly hope this is not the end as I need more in this series!!
This had a bit of everything.
We meet winter and Bennett, he’s on a mission to bringer home from Paris and she… doesn’t want to, lol.
I loved these two, they had this swoony and soft way about them, yet they had pasts that they needed to overcome in order to move on. Particularly Winter. 🙁
This story was not just a romance with a HEA, they had to work for it and damn it, I wanted their happy for them! There were ups and downs, bad guys and good guys, and through it all, a strong love story. <3
Hard to say something and give a way the plot, but trust me this is a great read: romance, mystery, suspense, swoon, and more!
Fun and couldn’t put it down!
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
I am a huge fan of S.L. Scott’s writing. No matter what genre, from rom-com to romantic suspense to everything in between, she captivates her readers from start to finish. Force of Nature was no different! Bennett Everest and Winter Nobleman were great characters and I absolutely loved their journey.
Bennett was hired by his client to find his daughter and bring her home. But when he finds her, she rocks his world in totally unexpected ways. Bennet was such an amazing man. I loved how caring and protective he was. Winter is drawn to Bennett. There is something about him that calls to her. She was a determined woman but was also a bit cagey. Things have not been easy for her, but she was not the kind of person that gave up.
I loved Force of Nature by S.L. Scott. It was such an emotional story with a bit of suspense and secrets, however, at the core it was a love story of two people just meant for each other. It may not have been the easiest of journeys, but it was their story and I devoured it.
4.5-stars. Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading.
Book three of the Everest brother’s series. Full length stand-alone told in dual POV with HEA. Bennett and Winter meet in Paris, but it is not a chance meeting. There is instant attraction, but their road is filled with action packed suspense and danger. Sweet romance with witty dialogue!
This third book in the Everest Brothers is Bennett and Winter’s story. This is such a wonderful love story with all the feels. Although it begins on lies (based on omission) their love at first sight is not. Author SL Scott has done a wonderful job writing this book of love, lust, attraction, deceit, humor, intensity…a lot of feelings wrapped up in this one! There were so many parts of this book I so deeply enjoyed! This book is the perfection of wavering thoughts and second guessing one’s self.
I should tell her.
I need to tell her.
I can’t lie to her.
I shouldn’t.
The characters in Force of Nature are very wonderfully written…so much that I wanted to throat punch a character or two (however, the characters took care of them for me…haha). It mostly takes place in Paris, where Everest is sent by Winter’s father to bring her back home. There is family conflict, struggle, and verbal/mental abuse in this one as well. A great read! LOVED it! 5 stars!
SL Scott has done it again! She has delivered us yet another swoon worthy Everest for our daydreams.
Bennett is sure of the accomplishment of his task. Prepared to bring home this contract in the swift suave way he always manages to carry. He definitely was not prepared for her…
Winter, the sunshine on a cloudy day, has a care free air about her that pulls in Ben from the beginning. Instant attraction pulls them together like magnets in a true picturesque romantic fashion. It’s only a matter of time before the ground is shifted and pulled beneath their feet.
“Its fun to believe the lies we tell ourselves. Protection in the form of a coat made of words that provide the warmth we need when its cold outside.”
Force of Nature takes us on a rollercoaster ride of a journey about finding yourself and your warrior within. When you finally find the love trust and hope you seek, will you run away scared? Or will you stay and fight for it? Plenty of suspense filled, nail biting, panty dropping moments to keep you on your toes and quickly turning the pages to the very end.
While this can be read as a standalone, you definitely don’t want to miss out on the older Everest brothers’ stories as well. I think it adds that extra bit of intensity knowing where our side characters came from. As your attorney I advise you to get started immediately.
This book!!!
One of the most romantic books that I ever read!
Bennet and Winter, two characters that are a match made in heaven and by heaven I mean Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world to fall in love and what a fall!
I must admit that it’s the first book that I’ve read by the author and even if this book is the third in the series, can be read as a standalone but makes me want to read the previous ones because of Bennett brothers.
I loved everything in this book, from the writing, the witty characters with all the inner thoughts, all the insecurities and risks that one will take when you fall in love, to the suspense of those scenes that kept me on the edge till the end as I didn’t know what will happen and how this will work out.
A wonderful read that you won’t be disappointed.
Bennett is all that and a bag of chips
SL Scott delivers on all levels in this romantic suspense! Not only do we get a feisty, strong heroine in Winter, Bennett rivals all book boyfriends with his swoony, flirty, fun loving ways. The two of them together are pure heat and their attraction to one another bounces off the pages. Their connection is quick and fierce, but it’s obvious in more ways than one that they’re hearts are meant to be aligned to one another. But will the secrets they’re both hiding stand in their way of happily ever after and tear them apart?!?!
This isn’t your typical hearts and flowers romance. Their is mystery, twist and turns that keep you guessing every step of the way. All of these questions draw you into their world and there is no way you’re getting out until you know the truth of Winter and Bennett’s fate. You will be engrossed until the very end.
We’re also lucky enough to spend more time with the other Bennett brothers, Ethan and Hutton. It’s an Everest explosion of hot, alpha-men that you just can’t get enough of. These men and their strong women are a force to be reckoned with. Traveling to Paris and New York with Bennett and Winter was an adventure you don’t want to miss out on!
Truth and lies…that’s what everything in life always seems to come down to and what every human being seems to struggle with when it comes to who deserves the story of their life and who only gets the insignificant parts.
Winter Nobleman is a woman with an unkind past – one that has defined her for far too long…one that seems to keep taking regardless of how little Winter has left to give. Her eyes carry secrets behind them, but it’s unclear what her true story is because she’s not ready to give it; it’s the one thing that she still has some control over, which means readers and even Bennett Everest will have to wait for Winter’s truths to be unraveled.
S.L. Scott has created some of my favorite alpha heroes, but I just might have found one to uproot all of them – Bennett Everest. He may be the youngest of the brothers, but he understands what matters in life, and his protective nature easily draws people in. But when it comes to Winter and what he’s been tasked to do, what appears to be and what actually is changes things for Bennett, complicating the mission, but also allowing him to see what’s truly important in life and in love.
Winter and Bennett are forces of nature – hellbent on making their own ways. That’s part of what draws them to each other but it’s also what makes things difficult for both of them. And as their story continues, Scott leads them and readers down a dangerous yet seductive path and the twists and turns that the plot line takes is what allows the unexpected to occur, keeping readers guessing as well as riveted to the pages as the mystery unfolds, heading toward its resolution.
Paris is the perfect city for Winter and Bennett’s story; it’s romantic, intriguing, majestic, and its air of mystery adds to the suspense that is strewn throughout the story line. In its own right, the City of Lights is a pivotal character in Force of Nature and the role it plays lives up to every single aspect of this beautiful and enlightening environment.
As an English teacher, I revel in scenes where witty banter and seamless dialogue is created; there’s just something about an author’s ability to blend and deliver snark, sweet, and steam effortlessly that makes my appreciation for the story and its creator that much richer, and I can wholeheartedly say that that’s exactly what S.L. Scott accomplished in Winter and Bennett’s story.
4.5 Poison Apples
Force of Nature is a fantastic read. You’ll want to hang onto your seats for this rollercoaster of a ride. If you met Ethan and Hutton Everest then you are familiar with the brothers and know who Bennett is. If you haven’t you need to. These brothers are all so swoon worthy in their own ways. Well Force of Nature is Bennett’s turn and you will not be disappointed when it comes down to how he falls for Winter. Now I love how Winter is a bit of a mystery throughout this one. Winter is a survivor and one strong cookie. She is a fighter. As you read you understand more and more about Winter and Bennett’s fight to be together. I love how Bennett never gives up on Winter. You feel his love for her from the beginning. They are so sweet together. I love how everyone in the Everest family just embraces Winter into the fold even with the danger that surrounds her. S.L. Scott does it again with this one. She gives you a strong story that steals bits and pieces of your heart. She makes you fall in love with her fantastic characters and makes you feel as if you are apart of the story. I love Force of Nature and the Everest family so much. Go one click this one and hang on tight. You are going to enjoy the ride that is Bennett and Winter.
I have fallen head over heels for another Everest Brother!
I’ve been so excited waiting for this one, and Suzie’s inspirational I,ages she’s shared with us have only increased the craving for Bennett Everst’s story.
Force of Nature is a romantic suspense and it most definitely has you on the edge of your seat, it’s raw, intense and has your pulse racing. The plot of this story is captivating. The secrets and mystery has you hanging on to every page and unable to put this down.
I love that Suzie gives us a variety of genres with her stories and for me it’s just another reason that proves her writing talent. There is always so much I highlight in her stories and F.O.N was no different. Her words are truly touching and made my heart melt.
Despite the heart pounding this roller coaster of suspense brings, it’s without a doubt a beautiful Romance and Bennett and Winter’s love is one to be in awe of.
Bennet is everything, talk about swoon!? He’s tender and caring, romantic and has your knees weak.
Winter ? She is probably one of my favourite Heroines Suzie has created, she is truly a survivor! She’s passionate and fierce and without a doubt selfless, and has a strength to admire and if anyone deserves a HEA, she does !
A 5 gripping read that gives all the feels!
I have read books by this author before and there’s always something in the story that draws you in. It took me a chapter or two to really reel me in to this story, needed to see where it was going but it did! I really enjoyed Bennett and Winter’s chemistry throughout the book. I’d definitely recommend this book to read ‘cuz you’ll definitely want to have a Bennett of your own 🙂
Bennett is on his way to Paris to find the daughter of a client who he needs to take back home but it is not as easy as it seems. From the moment they meet, there’s this chemistry between Bennett and Winter that seems to be undeniable. And the more he is getting to know her, the more he feels that there is more to her story that he has been told. When Winter’s life is in danger, it’ll become clear that there’s so much more to be told and secrets will be laid out that neither saw coming. But there’s a threat looming over both of them and over his family… Will everyone be kept out of harms way? And will Bennett and Winter find a way to be together?…
I have to say that this book by S.L. Scott has become my favorite of hers. With the suspense wrapped up in this epic tale of love, I found myself totally engrossed in every page. The wit and banter alone had me dying to find out more as well. I absolutely adored Winter as she was a strong heroine that gives as good as she gets and doesn’t back down even though she is close to breaking. But then you have Bennett who is the alpha that was to take control of everything including taking care of Winter. Their push and pull was magnetic and I honestly fell in love with these two together. It was spicy and sizzling with interesting intrigue! There were a lot of ups and downs but it just added to the story that keeps you glued to your ereader! Snag up this bad boy!
This book had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. I have hated every time I had to put my kindle down as I just wanted to read until I knew the conclusion of this must read story.
What forces of nature the main characters Bennett and Winter are. Oh my goodness, how I would love to be a member of the Everest family, preferably Mrs Bennett Everest 😉 You are all going to want that title – Bennett is an alpha male that will certainly sweep you off your feet! Winter is a feisty and strong woman who I strongly admired. From the moment they meet there is angst and twists and turns in this story and I couldn’t help but hope that the love that was developing between them would conquer all the difficulties that they had to overcome.
I loved the characters personalities. I was a little jealous of the connection between Bennett and Winter… it was that good! This book can most certainly be read as a standalone as I have yet to read Ethan and Hutton’s stories…. but that will change very soon!
An absolute must read for anyone, but especially for those of you who love hot alpha males.
Wow…wow…wow…it’s my first book from S.L. Scott and wow. What an amazing first experience, yup my first book and I’m a big fan and already one clicked all the Everests Brothers books.
Suspense Romance is my favorite genre and this book totally it. I got hooked from the prologue and since then there’s no stopping, the mystery and suspense getting thicker with every chapter, the more I read the more I can’t stop reading it.
This is a lovely story between Winter and Bennett that full of twisted dark truths and crazy actions and of course love, so much love that really warm my heart.
If you’re a fan of suspense romance with a hint of darkness, this book is definitely a MUST-READ for you.
*I voluntarily received a review copy of this book
Another amazing book by Suzie. I love your heroes, because that’s what they really are.
Everests are wonderful men, even though I still haven’t read Ethan’s story, which I really need to asap.
So back to the Bennet. He is amazing! So caring and sweet and thoughtful. Even though he is loaded he is not cocky and unattainable.
Winter is amazing woman, but her luck has ran out. Or she never did have it. She had a shitty life until she met Bennet. He changes her world for the better.
The story is wonderful and full of action. If it weren’t for a life getting in they way od reading I would have finished it in one sitting.
Story is about a second chance in life – you really have to be stubborn and stand up for yourself, because no one else will. When you get to that point you can start searching for something more, or should I say someone to have by your side. Winter is stubborn and that is what gets her through her toughest experiences.
Another Everest brother that you have to meet!
I received an earc from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Beautiful locations, intriguing, mysterious, gorgeous woman and stunningly handsome man. Not a bad way too start out a story. That’s just the beginning. It only gets better and better from there. This book delivers it all; mystery, romance, suspense, intrigue, great food ( it made me hungry and salivating at times lol), witty banter, beautiful people and hateful people, an intricate plot, made me tear up, touched my soul, and delivered the spice and heat in a emotional way.
Can you tell I loved this book?
Bennett, is the guy we all need to have in our life. Thank goodness for books because I don’t think men like this exist. I’m not dissing men but this guy wow, just WOW.
Winter, stunningly gorgeous, complicated, determined, struggling, mysterious, and giving. Life has not been kind to her, but she doesn’t give up.
One of the best parts of the books is that we get to meet up with all the Everest Brothers again and their better halves. They’re as fabulous as they were in their own books. Plus we get to run into some devious and truly reprehensible characters.
One of my favorite aspects of this book is the dialogue. I don’t do spoilers but I do love fresh dialogue that’s not recycled so I’m hoping the author doesn’t mind if I put one of my favorite paragraphs here. It’s not lovey dovey it’s just fresh and original and made me smile.
“Yeah, so you say, but a little bread and a few happy pounds won’t turn me away.” “Happy Pounds? That’s good stuff right there.”
Later on in story another line. “Bennett?” I whisper. “You make me want to eat pasta again.” No it’s not the most romantic but it’s fresh, original and so darn cute. It made me smile.
This book takes you on an emotional journey of self discovery, self forgiveness and tenacity.
This book is one of my favorites of 2019. You should do yourself a favor and read this book. You deserve it! If for no other reason than to meet Bennett but believe me there are so many reasons to read this story too many to enumerate. To the author I say well done and thank you!
