One deadly secret, three terrifying princes. I have a secret and if the Mindslayers discover the truth, they will torture me and my sister to our deaths. Ever since our parents abandoned us in the slums–sold us body and soul–I’ve struggled to keep the truth concealed. If it weren’t for my best friend Jix and the forest outside the slum walls, I don’t know if I could survive. But I have a temper. survive.
But I have a temper.
So when the Roya Tripsett–the three princes of the Kingdom–threaten Jix, I can’t help standing up for my best friend. But now they know. The three most powerful–and sexiest–men in the kingdom know my secret. By rights, they could kill me, but when I look into their eyes, I’m not certain what they’ll do–capture me, kill me, or mate me.

I loved it. I have lost all interest in reading this holiday season. But upon starting this series I couldn’t put it down till I read every last word.
I loved the mystery of MC origin, loved the world building. But still left enough in the dark that I will be anticipating second book.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s a great story that I need to continue! There are so many questions I need answering and I’ve only just started to get to know the princes.
Meela’s character has only just discovered she has a past before the laundry house and there are many secrets to be discovered. Both from Meela’s past and also the Princes.
I will definitely be reading the next book.
After reading the prequel I was so excited to read this one and already hooked on this series. It’s a great start and will be an even more amazing series as the story goes on. I just loved everything about this one from the characters to how loyal and protective of her friend and using her powers to save them to the guys and more. Can not wait to read the next book because I definitely need more.
Meela is amazingly strong! Seeing how she deals with being a Dreg, lowest level of society, and hides her powers is such an amazing journey! Her princes are hot and she does so well with them. She doesn’t bow down but stands up for herself and I love it!
Exciting action filled book. The characters are well written and the storyline flows smoothly and keeps you interested.
Amazing storytelling of court intrigue, parental Sacrifice , fated mates and fantasy. A great start to this series. Can’t wait for the next book!
Forbidden Power started out a few years after the prequel. There has been much growing and learning from Roya Tripsett and from Meela. There is a lot of reveal and action in Forbidden Power. The story quickly weavers the reader in and leaves you wanting for more. It isn’t a Pink Cinderella story, this is the darker more daring version. The unseen twists were superb. It’s like playing reader chess just trying to keep up with these characters. I didn’t want this to end and couldn’t wait to devour the next book. This is part of series that is best read in order and I recommend the prequel first.
The prequel was good but the first book was better. I can’t wait to find out what Meela and her men will run into next. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
The world building & the characters in this series are fascinating. I’m loving learning about Meela & her Royal Tripsett of Leo, Taraz & Sarkany. There is quite a bit that happens in this first book of the series, starting with Meela, saving her best friend Jix from the threat of death all whilst meeting the Roya Tripsett for the first time. She learns more about her past & gets taught more about her abilities, she gets into danger more than once & gets out of it with the help of various people including the Tripsett & also her sister. There are many more things that happen to Meela, but I’m not going to give them away – you need to read the book to find out. I can’t wait for the next book to find out just what happens to everyone!
Well worth reading!
Wow! I started this book and could not put it down. There was just so much going on. I love the characters and the way the story is unfolding. The story telling is engaging and kept me wanting more. Of course, it ends one heck of a cliffhanger. I recommend starting with the prequel for background. This series is off to a great start. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I’m in love with this series. Absolutely the best writing and smoothness and transition of characters. I cannot wait for the next book.
Ms Hart has done it again! Got me wrapped up and not getting enough of these characters! OMG Meela is so confused right now! She knows “the Bear” is her mate but she’s suppose to be the mate to the other two also…Leo is being a jealous best right now but it’s true the kingdom is in trouble right now so they need to get their mindspeaking booties in gear! Great storyline with awesome characters..trust me by the time you finish one book your grabbing for the next! Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed this story! Meela has been trying to survive and keep her and her sister safe. Meela has The Gift, or Curse, depending on what class of people you are from. She is a Dreg, or so she thinks, and so has to keep her power hidden or they will kill not only her but her sister as well. She ends up meeting the Roya Tripsett when she goes with her friend to try and retrieve his invention from their land and she intrigues them. All three are intrigued which does not happen often and they all know they have to find their Queen. This starts Meela on a road she did not expect. I liked this story and the characters. One of the brothers highly irritated me through the second half of the book and I am waiting for him to redeem himself in the rest of the series. I loved Meela and her strength with what she is facing. She doesn’t back down easy and will do what she has to. This book is just the beginning and it does end on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to pick up the next book and see where things are headed next.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
After reading the prequel I wanted to know what happened next and oh boy lots happening in the book! Life isn’t what any of them thought it would be, you have to read to find out what it’s like. I’m so glad the next book is out because we’re what an ending!
After reading the prequel Forbidden Mindslayer, I knew I was going to dive straight into this book. It does jump ahead in time past when the prequel leaves off and we find Meela and her sister still loving as Dregs in the city. The Roya Tripsett are surrounded by enemies, though it seems they have some allies as well. Most problematic is that in order to ascend the throne, they need to choose their mate and wed. First they’ll need to agree… Fate intervenes to throw Meela and Jix in the path of the Roya brothers, and the story takes off like a runaway train from there.
It’s easy to get caught up in the tale of this fantastic world where people are communicating with one another through mind links, where some people can hear animals and the very molecules of the earth moving. More than anything, this is a fantastical tale that takes you on a journey into a new dystopian world worth exploring. If you’re ready to take the trip and you’re excited to explore the idea of fated mates and the pull and mind link that exists in that type of love, don’t hesitate… One click and grab this one now!
Good start to what may be an amazing series. Can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the brothers. Well written, but repedative at times. New take on dystopian, going back to the old ways. Hot romance is a plus.
Loved this book. It’s a great start to a new series. I read the prequel so it was interesting knowing more about the MC than she knew about herself but still exciting finding out new information. Had to deduct since points for the horrid cliffhanger as I’m not a fan of authors using massive cliffhangers to force readers to read the next book in a series. I was already invested in finding out more without the cliffhanger ago I felt it was unnecessary. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.
This is a great first book to this series. I can’t wait to read the next installment of the book either to find out what happens next for Meela and the Tripsett Royas. What has changes in Leo too? He has totally changed his attitude to Meela. I hope that we find more about her parents too. Hopefully some more of Meela’s memories xome back to her too.
You will love this book it keeps you on your toes from the start.
