Me? The sweet little innocent me who is never out of line? How could I possibly want to lose my V-card to the one man who is completely off limits? Blake Henderson… He’s ten years older. The hottest firefighter to ever exist. My goddamn neighbor. And… of trouble.
I know because I have a good view of him from my bedroom window.
I’m probably stupid to think that I can get away with this.
That my own sister won’t notice me lusting over her ex.
But I’m desperate…
And he’s tempting.
Besides, it’s not like I’ll get pregnant, right?
Right?

Realistic fun read of a taboo relationship. Sister’s ex boyfriend and good family friend.
Summer Brooks is a must read author!
There was potential for this story had there been an easy flow and continuity to the story.
I couldn’t always follow the changes in the story.

Jasmine and Blake live next door to each other. This within it self would be ok except he is also her sister’s ex boyfriend and Jasmine likes him a lot. When Freya decides that she is going to move back to the city, Blake and Jasmine gets close and a relationship begins. Jasmine is in a precarious position she wants Blake and she loves her sister. Will this relationship end before it has a chance to flourish.

Another awesome read by Summer! I love the change from one character to the other in each chapter, makes me feel like I’m spending equal time with each and getting to know them more in depth.

Jasmine Ashman was about to write in her journal when her sister barged in without knocking. Freya was 10 years older than Jasmine, but she acted like a child sometimes. She noticed the diary and threatened to read it one day. Jasmine felt secure though because she kept it locked, so Freya told her where the key was stored. Freya had just broken up with Blake Henderson, but he was coming over for dinner. Jasmine thought Freya made a mistake breaking up with him. He was a gentleman and very attractive. But now that his parents had moved in with him, Freya made that her excuse. She also hated being stuck in this town, and she and Blake hadn’t been close for some time now. Freya would be moving to the city next week.
Blake was a Fire Lieutenant, as was his father and older brother. But tonight was his night off. It was awkward going to dinner with his ex, but no one had cancelled so he was stuck. Mrs. Ashman was irritating both her daughters, and Freya had enough of it. She announced she would be leaving a week early, and went upstairs to pack.
Jaz went back downstairs and Blake said he was returning home, so she asked if he wanted to go for a walk. She didn’t want to go back inside yet. They sat on a bench and talked a little, and Blake realized he was interested in her, now that he was single again. But before he could make a move, she said she felt guilty leaving Freya and was heading home. But his thoughts were on Jaz. She was so different from her sister. Would she possibly be willing to date him? Would she hesitate because of her sister’s past relationship with him? How would Freya react if her sister started dating her ex? Could Jaz and Blake find their own HEA together, or would Jaz just walk away from possible complications?
This was a steadily moving story line with many possibilities. Freya was moving, their dad was considering selling his grocery business and hiring Blake as Manager, Blake was trying to buy a home for his parents, and he was now interested in whether Jaz would date him. Don’t delay – get your copy and catch up on the activity! The characters are likable and the reader will enjoy following the paths that everyone chooses to get to their dreams!
This was a great story! I loved the way Blake and Jasmine are written so real! I highly recommend this book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We can’t help who we fall in-love with, the heart wants what the heart wants. Doesn’t matter who it is.
Jasmine’s older sister just broke up with her boyfriend and is moving away. There parents have invited Blake over to there house for a goodbye dinner and both Jasmine and Blake start looking at each other differently.
This is a well written taboo romance between Blake and Jasmine. Their only obstacle is her sister who also happens to be Blake’s ex-girlfriend. The characters are strong and well described and the story moves quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading their story.
