At dawn I had a loving family, by dusk I have… nothing. Life’s been pretty idyllic for my sister and me. Our mother might not have fancy dresses like her best friend, Queen Roya, but the simple and unconditional love of our parents is all we need for a happy life. I’d never do anything to risk it, even if it means keeping a secret from everyone else in the world. When Queen Roya and her husbands … Roya and her husbands are murdered, it’s not just the lives of their three sons that are left in turmoil. For some reason, my parents start acting strangely, as if they have a secret of their own. The trip they tell us we’re taking should be exciting, but something tells me I’m not going to like what awaits us…

I loved this book. Well it is not so much a book as it is a really detailed prologue to Forbidden Power.
I enjoyed myself reading it and wondering what does fate have in store for Meela, and princes. My interest is peeked and I WILL read onward to satisfy my curiosity
I can honestly say are usually don’t read prequel‘s. But I’m very glad I read this one Willa Hart really draws you in to this world very well from an interesting point of view. I’m quite interested to see where this is going to go I can’t wait to read book one I can tell it’s definitely going to be a page turner series!
I really enjoyed this I introduction to Meela, Jix and the princes, it’s a good background to the characters. It’s really intrigued my interest as to where the next book will take them.
I also love the mind reading element of the characters.
Amazing prequel and now I’m hooked! Cannot wait for more!
Short and packed full of information. This is a great foundation of what led to the events in the series. You find out how each important character got to where they are when the rest of the series begins. If you’re wondering if you should read it before the rest of the series, the answer is yes!
I found this prequel to be the perfect setup for where I feel this series will go. Of course, I’m hoping for plenty of twists and turns along the way but the world-building and tragic introduction to the series main characters already hints at twists to come.
What a interesting story! Had me in tear’s then laughing at Meela and Jix…quite different from what I’m use to reading but like I said interesting and can’t wait to see what happens next. I really enjoy this author so onward!!
Short, great read for the background on new characters. Can’t wait for the rest.
This first book of the Mindslayer series introduces us to all the main players in this new series. We are introduced to Meela, her little sister Huali, her new friend Jix & the Royal tripsett. This seems like a really interesting world & I can’t wait to read the next book.
This prequel novella is a promising start to a new series from Hart. I absolutely loved her last one and have full faith that this series will surely become another favorite of mine.
This was a great introduction to the series. It introduces us to the world that Willa Hart has created and to the characters when they were children. This story definitely pulled me in and I want more. I want to figure out exactly what happened and what is going to happen next. I can’t wait for our 2 sets of main characters to actually meet and for things to really get shaken up. I am super excited to see more of this world and figure out what is going to happen next.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Great little book to introduce you to the characters and show you how things come together to make book 1 very glad I read this first left me wanting more
Short introduction to a new series packed with so much energy that really grabbed me and made me want to read more. After reading this book, I’m excited to see what happens next in this new series.

This book had me hook from the beginning. It has helped getting me out of my book funk. Great read funny and keeps your interest.
Forbidden Mindslayer was a short intro that left me in tears. I was reading along getting introduced to the characters and finding out about the world that Meela and her sister live in. And the wham, breakout the tissues! Now, I have to read the rest of the books. This is the prequel to the Harem of the Mindslayer series.
Great back story to the main characters in this series. It was very helpful in understanding the story and Meelas situation. Can’t wait to dive into book 1.
What a sneak peak into an interesting and intriguing story. I found that I flew through this prequel and went instantly looking for book 1. The premise is entertaining and it gave me lots a feels. Loved the short start and definitely had me looking forward to the start of a series, which is the one reason I don’t mind reading prequel novellas.
Meela is a little girl who lived in the woods with her mom, dad, and little sister Huail. Until one day both girls were left with no memories but each other and working and a laundry place in a bad city. The only good thing was the girls meet and boy named Jix.
Reason and why you will just have to read lol
Eliterrati kingdom
The Triplett prince’s Leo, Taraz, and Sarksny are the sons of the Royal Queen Really and her kings. The boys lives were perfect until one meeting their mom and fathers went on. The boys lost so much but their uncle gained so much.
Wow what twist and turns this story took. I loved the characters and couldn’t put it down. I am hooked and can’t wait for the next book. Don’t miss it
