Book review of Book 1; The Legacy (The Slayer Academy series) by Amelia Shaw
Well whoa … you quickly learn this is a “fish out of water” tale. Meg has no knowledge of the Slayer Academy or why anyone would need a Slayer Academy. She gets shipped out to the Slayer Academy within hours of finding out that she is the 5th Generation of Slayers in her family. She learns she must fight and kill the Fae because they are evil.
The makes some friends, takes some classes, has a tryst and decides her path. Will it lead her to the “Legacy” status she seems to have?
I received this as an Advance reader copy with the hope I would enjoy it an want to review it.
Book review of Book 2; Fae Hunter by Amelia Shaw
There is something to be said about a book so well written that you get drawn into the world, the characters. I had the distinct please of experiencing this again with Book 2 of The Slayer Academy.
Meg is drawn to the beautiful Fae men she has met and Faerie as a whole. Feels more st home there than the home she grew up in.
What will happen to Meg and the Fae Princes?
I received this as an Advance reader copy with the hopes I would like it and review it.
Book 3: Forbidden Love (The Slayer Academy) by Amelia Shaw
Oh My Goodness! This was a wild ride from start to finish with plenty of action and heat!
I truly hope to read more of the Three Princes and Megara.

Forbidden Love: Slayer Academy Year 3 by Amelia Shaw is the third book in the Slayer Academy Series. This book is a stand alone book that begins where the Fae Hunter: Slayer Academy Year 2 ended. Megara saves the three Fae princes Fiore, Everly, and Nyeer by sealing the entrance to Faerie so that the slayers from the academy could not follow the three princes back into Faerie. The only problem being that when she sealed the entrance Megara was on the Slayer Academy side. The Dean of the Slayer Academy immediately takes her into custody and throws her into the dungeon and begins to torture her for information about everything she knows about Faerie. Megara can only hope she can survive the loss of her three loves and survives what comes next. This is a wonderful book full of suspense, intrigue, and romance. I was entranced from the very first page to the last. This book had an amazing ending that I just loved. Forbidden Love: Slayer Academy Year 3 is full of suspense, intrigue, and romance.
Loved this final book. Megara has saved her Princes, but she was captured by the slayers. The Princes are safe and healing, but what will they do to save Megara? What will Megara do to keep her Princes safe? Will the Slayers get the information from Megara? What will happen to Faes? Can anyone save them? Who is this witch?

This was a fantastic conclusion to the series. There was plenty of action between Megara being imprisoned and tortured, rescued from the wicked witch and the battle between Slayers and Fae.
This is the third story in a three story series of Slayer Academy. You should read the other stories to be able to grasp what is going on in this story.
I really enjoyed this story. The world building is fantastic in creating the Academy where college age Slayers are trained to kill the Fae. At least, they are taught that the Fae are evil and manipulative. The characters in this story are brought to live and you can visualize them like you are watching a movie as you read. Yes, it kind of hard to visualize pointed ears, but we have seen them in movies before.
At the end of the last story, Megara was able to help rescue Fiore from the Academy dungeons and helped the princes escape by magically seal the portal so the Slayers couldn’t get into Fae to capture them. She was captured, put in the same cell as he was, tortured, beaten and then given to a witch to magically get the information that she withheld.
Her Princes, Fiore, Nyeer and Everly gather to come up with a plan to rescue her, but Fiore and Nyeer can’t wait any longer. They go to rescue her from the witch. Needless to say Everly wasn’t happy about that. When they get back, they go to the nearest kingdom which has been abandonded. It is slowly being brought back as they stay there to let her heal. They know that the war between the Slayers and Fae is about to begin. They train Megara to Fae warfare, which she learns quickly even while healing. When Everly shows up, he is upset that the other princes left without him and they saved her. Now Meg has to find out how he feels about her.

Wrapping Up the Trilogy
The author wrapped up this series with a bang! At the end of the last book, Meg had sealed the portal between the Fae realm and ours. She is captured by the Slayers and tortured with magic, though she stands firm. Her Fae princes rescue her. Their relationships also continue to evolve and grow in this book. It seems like all-out war is brewing between the Fae and the Slayers, which could jeopardize everything. I enjoyed this final book of the series. Meg is very strong female—which I always love—and I like that the author mixed in the personal turmoil between Meg and her men with the external conflict of the greater battle between the Fae and the Slayers. I felt like everything didn’t quite get wrapped up neatly, unfortunately. I also thought that the book ended somewhat abruptly, like there was more story to tell. Still, all in all, I found this an engrossing read and a satisfying end to the series.
This is a great read took me on entertaining ride. Characters are well developed and engaging. The storyline flowed smoothly.

This is the fast-paced final section of the Slayer Academy series with so much going on at once! Megara got the Princes back to Faerie then closed the portal. Now she has to deal with the Slayers. She struggles with an evil witch and is tortured until her Princes try to find a way to rescue her, but she doesn’t give up any information. Even if her men save her, there still may be a war between the Slayers and Fae. Can the Princes get to her in time to save her? Will she have to choose only one of them? Does the war they expected in Faerie break out? Will Megara get her HEA?
This was an exciting story, fast-paced and intriguing to keep the reader involved. The characters were presented well and made the reader care about what happened to them. Grab your copy and see where all the action leads you!

Megara may have rescued one of her princes, and got them all safely back to Faerie before sealing the portal to their world, but that has left her in the not to tender hands of the Slayers. Finding a strength she didn’t know she had, she resists all their attempts at learning the secrets of the Fae she has while holding out hope that her Princes will find a way to save her. Back in Faerie, the Princes are desperate to find a way back to the human world to save Megara. But saving Meg only serves to further ignite tensions, and it seems a war between the Slayers and Fae is inevitable. Yet, rescuing Meg unites the Princes and all the Fae with the promise of a brighter future for Faerie. While Megara and her Princes get their HEA, I wish there could have been more because I felt like the story was still unfinished.
This book was the third and last installment of the series. I wished i would have read the prior books because this book was packed with adventure and i love the characters

This has been a great series and this last book is awesome! Carrying on from book 2 there is tons of action, some smoking hot scenes and a battle for good! Will Megara and her men win? Will she get her well deserved HeA? Read this amazing series to find out!
Amelia Shaw is a great author and did not disappoint with this book. It had me drawn in from the beginning of book 1 and kept me drawn in through book 3. I love the characters and the storyline. Very well developed. I recommend reading.

So this is the final book in the Slayer Academy. I love how Amelia Shaw just picks the story up from where it leaves off. So we just go right into action. So you know that Megara closed the portal to Faerie and the Slayers want in. Well that does not bode well for her, and pays the price for it. In the meantime the Princes are healing and formulating a plan to get Megara. Do the guys get to her in time? Then there is an Evil witch afoot and Megara is not strong enough to defeat her. She is finally rescued by the Princes. As Megara heals, she gets her moment with Fiore and finally Everly. Which I might add is pretty HOT!! Does the war finally reach Faerie? Megara gets a happily ever after ending. There were a few questions that did not get answered but overall it was a good series. It is a fast read so you will get sucked in from page one til the end. I really enjoyed the series.
