I never imagined that living with three gorgeous college guys would be so hard.I thought my kiss with sweetheart Tate and sophisticated Charles would be a one-time thing. Now, I can’t get either guy out of my mind. They make it hard enough to choose, but now the flirtatious JJ’s throwing his hat in the ring and sulky Silas’s taking all his frustration out on me.To make matters worse, the a … matters worse, the a cappella competition is fast approaching, and the guys are depending on me to write the winning song. With time running out, and tempting men at every turn, will I be able to find my happily ever after, and help the guys find theirs? Or is my fairy tale going to have a very unhappy ending?
This is a slow/medium burn reverse harem romance and the sequel to Fractured Heart.

So we continue our fairy tale in this sequel. So Mia Harlan left us hanging in Fractured heart but no worries, we pick up where we left off. Roonie as sweet and innocent she is is still trying to find herself. She is still not sure how to act around the guys. Sometimes she spaces out and is in her own head but the guys seem to bring her back. Since the guys have taken her in and helped her out so much she wants to return the favor. So she has been helping them with their song. However, remember Silas, well he is still a bad prince. But why? Roonie has moments with him in this book and I think she may see something in him. So what will happen this time around. Will she run back home to her father when things get tough or scary? What else to we find out in this book? Well I can say it was a revelation. I cannot wait to read what will happen next. Such a wonderful book it is so light and refreshing.
This is such a sweet book and that ending! Hits you in the feels!! I loved it! Devoured it and wow what a ride!!!
This is a great follow up to Fractured Heart. I really enjoyed seeing the growth of Roonie and the relationship that is growing between her and Tate, Charles, and JJ. I also really liked seeing more interaction with Silas, even if most of them did not turn out so good. I am really excited to read more of this series and to see where the authors take this story.
this was a great read and i need and wanted more, this read had the vibes of glee, but on to the story roonie has so much fairytales going on in her life. This was a very well written story and I highly recommend it
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What an amazing book! I loved it! The FMC, Roonie is a sweet and innocent fairytale loving girl, and the guys, well most of them anyways, are so tender with and protective of her. This is a wonderful slow paced follow up to Fractured Heart. I cannot wait for book three!
And we’re back with roonie and her men. I loved the whole book, it made me smile and I loved the lovable characters and plot. Who wouldn’t love their own fairy tale? These two authors keep surprising me. I loved book one but book two for me was even better. The writing is phenomenal and it’s one of those stories where you would read over and over. The characters are well balanced with each other and make this book a fantastic read! I want more!
In Forbidden Heart, book 2 in Mia Harlan’s RH Fairy Tale (LUV Academy) we are further embroiled in Roonie’s struggle to accept her talents, and enjoy her men.
Poor thing can’t help to provide a soundtrack to everything in her life, yet does not recognize just how talented she is, even with her gorgeous college men helping to ‘boost’ her confidence.
This is a slow burn, that allows the reader to be cuddled in the storyline. A sweet treat to enjoy!
Mia has done it again and has me wanting more. what a great fallow up story to fractured hearts. Poor roonie never had mush of a life with her abusive farther till one day she runs away and ends up staying with the adorable jj,charles and Tate a coppela singing group who try to help her deal with everything that’s happened to her and give her some confidence.there’s a attraction between all 3 men that roonie didn’t know how to deal with it at first and I actually love the cranky silas who keep getting caught in her clumsy ways and at one point has drink pored on him that I thought was really funny.this story was funny, heart warming and at one point made me sad and I loved roonie and how much she’s grown in her character and hope the next book won’t be too long
Ah! I’m not someone who makes a lot of noises while reading. I would be able to read in a church during mass (I won’t do it, I promise) and no one would notice. Well, unless I’m reading a book like this. In that case I might have a problem. Because even I, who never makes a sound and usually cries and smiles silently, had to verbally interact with this book and react to this book. And when I closed it, I pressed it to my chest, held it firmly and screamed some more.
This book is the cutest book to ever cute and that’s mostly because Roonie is the cutest main character to ever cute. Roonie is the ultimate fairytale princess, despite everything she’s been through, despite what her father did to her, despite all the pain and despite the huge lack of self esteem, she’s so kind and endearing. I think that it’s impossible NOT to like her, not to feel for her, not to root for her, not to cry for her, not to smile at her and not to wrap her in a blanket and hold her close and tell her that she’s amazing and that the world has been mean to her, but that it have all been lies.
And I’m so glad that, since I can’t do all this because I’m just a reader witnessing this story, she has three amazing guys taking care of her, telling her how awesome she is and just being there for her. I feel like we don’t know them that well yet, even though this is already the second book, although I also feel that the authors do know them. I hope that there will be more books and that we find out who they are exactly and what thrives them! I’m a little bit in love with them anyway, though.
The storyline seems quite simple, but in a way it’s also doing an amazing job. Slowly we see Roonie grow more and more into the person she is, both because other people believe in her and encourage her, but also because she’s gaining confidence once she sees things are working out. On top of that, the authors did a really brilliant job with the Fairytale elements, even though it’s a contemporary story. The entire vibe is enchanting and Roonie’s way of seeing and explaining the world is so…her.
Like I said. I think this is the cutest read to ever cute and I wanna wrap this book and its characters in a blanket, I wanna hold them, cherish them and love them. And I most of all want more, because I’m so not done with these characters! I DON’T WANT TO LET THEM GO YET!
Charming,
This slow burn is sweet and magnetic and left me ready for book three. It was nice to see the FMC growing confidence as she struggles with the back and forward pull of insecurities.
Really enjoyed this fun original story that mashes up old fairy tales with a new contemporary vibe. Great sequal
I loved the caring relationship that Ronnie (FMC) had with JJ, Charles & Tate. While Silas on the hand needed a good shake to knock some sense into him. He just frustrated me with the way he treated Roonie. I can’t say that I didn’t chuckle at him falling in the rose bush and then down the hill or when he got a good kick from Roonie (lol) because yeah I did. He deserved it. Roonie was so shy, sweet but unsure of herself throughout this book. She didn’t deserve what Silas was dishing out to her. Loved that ending though but does that mean this is the last book in the series? Still it’s a good read
