This was absolutely an unbelievable stunning story that has a powerful message that just because you have an addiction you still can have a wonderful life if your willing to work your program.
Macy and Ryan’s moms had been best friends until the day his mom died.
He unfortunately being a child of a clearly an alcoholic parent became one himself.
Macy owns her own business Macy’s Treats and one day Ryan asks her to lunch with him.
She never expected to be talking about the night Ryan totally humiliated himself but he said he needed to apologize for his mistakes and past behavior.
Macy never thought she’d actually act on her crush with Ryan.
There is no such thing as secrets when you live in a small town everyone knows everything so it shouldn’t have been a surprise when her mom tried to brow beat her into staying away from Ryan because of her own narrow mindedness.
Macy tries to please everyone in her life she’s afraid to disappoint anyone and the thought of someone being hurt or angry over her choices has contemplating walking away from the one person she wants more than anyone.
Sometimes fate gives us awake up call when we needed it the most and wow Mother Nature was banging on Macy’s door.
Ryan knew his life had to change after his marriage imploded he needed to take responsibility for his actions and seek the help he needed to change and to keep changing.
He knew there would be those who’d never look past his mistakes nor accept that he was different and that’s on them not him.
Ryan also could tell she was trying to push him away and he knew why she was afraid but he wasn’t going to let her go without a fight.
Ryan knew he needed to prove he was everything she needed in her life.

I absolutely love Ryan. He takes ownership of his past behavior and makes amends. Ryan even manages to understand and tolerate Macy’s hot and cold behavior which, drives me crazy. Mixed signals are not attractive and Macy dishes them out repeatedly. And, don’t get me started on Macy’s mother or Ryan’s father because they are the kind of characters you need to experience first hand.
This is a sweet and endearing story with the happiest of endings that I recommend to be added to your TBR list.

When love comes in the form of a recovering alcoholic that made a mess of life until he hurt one to many people he loved. When the same guy is now the man of her dreams. Do you let old habits and bad opinions dictate what you do with love? Macy being younger and been crazy about Ryan has a lot to figure out. Ryan on the other hand finally has his life in control after an embarrassing and destructive few years. Natasha Black once again hits the nail on the head. She’s once again turned out a heart warming, romantic, sexy as hell book. I can’t wait for her next book.
