He’s a charming bad boy count about to lose his fortune if he doesn’t marry. And the bride just took off on his wedding day.Matteo Korbel, the Count of Golchin, proposed a business marriage to save his fortune, figuring his girlfriend was good enough to get the job done. But on the wedding day, she takes off, and Matteo is forced to ask the chef’s daughter to step in as a replacement bride.… a replacement bride.
Sheena’s only thinks of Matteo as a childhood friend. So when she dresses up as a veiled bride, it’s only to tell him his bride left. She never expected him to ask her to be his wife, and never would have anticipated she’d be foolish enough to say yes. Now it’s not just his fortune on the line, but also her heart.
Neither of them expected passion or growing attraction with a near stranger. Now they’re married and still barely know each other as they try to navigate rough waters, ex-boyfriends, old desires, bad habits, and worse assumptions.

There’s nothing quite like having a jealous ex, but that is close to a spoiler so I’ll stop there. YA and it takes most of a day. I read an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
fun read
Love this series… Can’t wait to read this installment.
Loved! 🙂
A modern day Cinderella story. All you need is the Count to have ginger hair and be called Harry and we’d be bang up to date on this classic trope 😉
Such a sweet story. Once you meet Mateo and Sheena you won’t be able to put the book down!
Sheena has set up the wedding for a school friend of hers, Matteo. She finds the bride leaving him at the altar, and goes to tell him quietly with the veil covering her face. She is surprised by Matteo asking her to marry him instead. I enjoyed reading about these two finding each other in a marriage of necessity. Very romantic. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is the story of Matteo, a duke in the country of Avce, and Sheena, the wealthy daughter of a restaurateur. Her father sent Sheena to attend boarding school where the royalty sent their children for the purpose of learning how to comport herself in their tradition and through education. Though they did not run in the same circle, Matteo and Sheena did know each other.
The book begins with Matteo’s wedding that Sheena is hired to design. What isn’t planned is for the bride to duck out before the wedding with Matteo jilted at the altar. In order to lessen the blow, Sheena, wearing a white dress, places the well on her head and walks down the aisle to give the news to Matteo.
The plot is well-paced and the author does a fantastic job in making this a believable tale. Included are side plots involving an old boyfriend and royal intrigue. Great characterizations add depth to the story on the way to a HEA ending.
Such a sweet story and that I really enjoyed. Matteo and Sheena were absolutely perfect even though how they started out was less then ideal they were still paired perfectly.
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book
Just when you think this series can’t get any better, Victoria surprises you with another wonderfully written and entertaining story in this series. The Count and the Chef’s daughter have known each other from their school days and during that time Matteo was always there when she needed help. Sheena had a crush on Matteo but never expected to be his wife. In her way to give back for his earlier kindnesses she agrees to marry him when his future bride bolts before the wedding. This is a beautifully written romance as two people learn to trust their heart and find love as their new found happiness is threatened by an ex-boyfriend with a surprising past. I loved the playfulness of the skateboard scenes and the addition of characters from past books in the series. Sheena and Matteo are a perfect couple and made the story very believable. Even though I enjoyed this plot from the beginning, the added twists and surprises made the story more interesting. The concluding epilogue was a great ending to their story. I would recommend this story.
I was given an Advanced Readers Copy of this book by the author. It was my pleasure to read and review
This was really an enchanting story with a Cinderella Twist. Matteo was forced to marry before he turned thirty in order to retain his fortune. When the bride takes off before the ceremony, Sheena fills in as a replacement bride to help Matteo, her childhood friend. The chemistry is explosive and they are so compatible. Plenty of drama from ex boyfriends and girlfriends tend to add some turmoil and suspense. Turmoil and passion as two people get to know each other. Well written with strong, interesting characters and an entertaining storyline. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Warm and touching tear jerker. Matteo and Sheena are delightfully insecure in their own feeling for each other. Exes on both sides make appearance and trouble. Truly heart warming.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
Another awesome read from Ms Pinder.
The story is a fun fairy tale with quite a lot of suspense and steam with many twists and turns and unexpected surprises to keep you hooked.
I look forward to reading future books by this author
