She is forbidden. She will still be mine.Pure. Untouched. The daughter of my most loyal friend.I shouldn’t have bared and punished her.I shouldn’t think every day of tearing her clothes off and ravaging her.But I did, and I do, and when I claim her it won’t be the gentle lovemaking she deserves.Forbidden or not, she’ll scream my name as she learns what it means to belong to a man like me.… what it means to belong to a man like me.
Publisher’s Note: Forbidden includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

I loved Forbidden. It was a quick read but still filled with a lot of heat. Raychel and Anthony are fantastic together. There is so much tension and emotions involved that you can’t just help but to fall in love with this forbidden pair. The age difference may be a problem for some. But Raychel and Anthony prove that age doesn’t matter. I love watching them follow their hearts and pushing past all those norms. I love how protective Anthony is of Raychel. I couldn’t put this one down. I loved this forbidden read so much.
I guess what makes this book in way dark is the violence of the mafia. The relationship that grows between Anthony and Raychel is definitely not. Anthony has cared for her for years not knowing her feelings for him have been anything but innocent. Now that Raychels father is dead their lives are going to change…for the better though there will be lots of denial. A fantastic romantic book!

Alta Hensley is one of my favorite authors and this is a great read. Not as dark, but still intense. Anthony best friend and Raychel’s father was murdered and he feels he needs to protect her. She has been in love with him for years, but Anthony was her father’s best friend. They are now maneuvering around if taking their relationship further is a betrayal, or dishonoring her father, or do they deserve happiness. I liked the plot, the story moved quickly, I enjoyed the Daddy Dom aspect, overall a solid 4 star read.
I received an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
I really loved this one it is full of very intense real feelings of forbidden love with dad’s best friend and so many struggles of what is the right thing to Do, I loved how Anthony takes control over Raychel who is so stubborn to make it on her own and the guilt that eats at her for her feelings. They answer to no one which I liked. Lots of drama and intense situations but very Hot, I liked following them on their journey and how they get there.
Not as forbidden as expected. There was also barely any Mafia element to it.
It was more sweet and slow burning romance with light domestic discipline.
While OM/YW are my favorite genre, this one was just okay in the end.

Anthony and Raychel secretly love each other but their love is forbidden, taboo. When things happen and they begin to get closer will their love be enough to show them love is not taboo?
Exciting and forbidden but worth every bit.

Yearning!
Denial!
Desire!
Erotic Discipline!
This is a serious, caring story of two people slowly struggling to find their way from friendship into more.
When searching for love, what is truly forbidden? What might be allowed? Should age be an issue between two people? Are they wrong to wish and dream about someone who is just out of their reach? Why? What would be accomplished by outright denial of that which they so desperately desire? Should a couple pursue love or pretend it does not exist? Who should make these determinations? And, what happens when they finally choose?
It was a good read. It’s a slow burning romance book, older man with younger girl, her fathers best friend. I wished there was more sex scenes.
Lighter & sweeter-toned Daddy romance
—>>> Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars – A scheduled date to keep in touch with her father’s best friend Anthony suddenly turns into much more for Raychel. She has always had a crush on this man, but never did she dare to push for anything, her pride will not allow it, nevermind that it is taboo to think that way and disrespectful to her father’s memory. Chemistry overrules all that, though, because soon they are both involved, and it feels too good to deny their feelings. This is one of the lighter & sweeter-toned romances from this author!
I loved this couple! Both secretly loving each other but feeling it was forbidden and taboo because of their mutual connection.
This was a slow burn story that progressed slowly and painstakingly.
This is more IMO a sweet taboo romance with a touch of domestic discipline
Anthony needs a good bottom warming himself! He is so lucky he is fictional! If you are going to ask your partner to relinquish their care into your hands you need to think with your head, not with your libido! That means their needs, their comfort, and their emotional well being.
Now that I have had the chance to get that off my chest –
Anthony truly is a sweetie under all that blubber and chest-puffing. He is lonely and whats the familial thing (wife, kids, picket fence) and the little girl who has always held a piece of his heart is all grown up now.
Raychel is well… STUBBORN! She has always felt safe under the watchful eye of Anthony but new that taking it any further would be wrong. But as Anthony has proven the heart and libido usually overrule the brain.
I had some issues with some of the themes – still a virgin, poor/rich, where did daddy’s money go? , problem solved, chest-thumping.
I wanted more detail in the resolutions. Reasons behind the why’s.
But that is me! I am greedy that way.
The stor yline itself was solid the H and h are easy to connect with. And hellllooo the starts and stops and raw want that bleeds from these two was hot as he ll
A love that’s been in the making for years.
Simmering and brewing slowly.
Until now.
Now it reached a boiling point and has overflowed.
That’s how I saw Raychel and Anthony’s forbidden feelings.
Raychel is a strong stubborn young lady.
Her pride is everything to her.
As well as not dishonoring her father.
Anthony is the best friend of Raychel’s dad.
He’s devastated with his passing.
And has vowed to watch over her.
His feelings of protectiveness has taken a turn into the forbidden territory.
Their story is about intense feelings.
Mixed in with a couple of taboo issues, their age gape and dad’s best friend.
Their drama isn’t coming from outside forces.
But within themselves.
I enjoyed this lighter side of Ms. Hensley.
FABULOUS!
Twisted slow building read with hot exciting chemistry and a wild ride of twists and gripping emotions. A great read that I found to be fabulous and very enjoyable.

I usually really like AH stuff, but I couldn’t get into this one. I don’t know if it was Raychel or the concept of being forbidden because she loved her dead father’s best friend (which I can’t see is forbidden since he’s dead ). Either way, the book too me twice as long to finish because I kept putting it done to read other books then picking it back up again. AH usually really delves into the dark themes and this book just kinda plays with them as Anthony continues to threaten to seat Raychel for behavior but only does it once. Raychel is very prideful person and refuses help from “family” and the person she says she loves leading to situations that don’t need to happen. I understand where the author is coming from but it just made Raychela brat in my eyes.

Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect with this book as I received an ARC, without a description or knowing what the book was. I often, as is the case with this one, find some interesting reads. Alta Hensley has quickly become one of my “gotta buy/read as soon as it comes out” because their stories are always full of interesting stories. This story definitely delivered on most of the story, but I still have questions about some plot points I thought would be answered. I can’t wait for the next Alta Hensley book to come out! There are subtle mafia undertones, but nothing that goes into details, which I enjoy, and it focuses on both the main characters more. The mafia aspect is second fiddle and not all that pertinent to the story I believe.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
OMG this was hot! I absolutely loved it! My neighbor’s dog kept me up late last night so I had plenty of opportunities to read and this called to me. I read most of the night and I didn’t want to stop. Even after my neighbor’s dog shit up. I didn’t notice at that point because I was sucked in. I love this authors books and this is one of my favorites now. Definitely try this book!
The sexual tension between these two main characters was intense and taboo. Crushing/lusting after your Dad’s best friend can’t be a good thing. Anthony has watched Raychel grow from being an adorable little girl to a beautiful young lady who he shouldn’t have indecent thoughts about. I have loved every book that Alta has written she’s an incredibly talented author.
Very hot and steamy, an entertaining read. A taboo connection that neither acknowledges, though it burns deep for them both, because of who they are (in more ways than one). Familiar ties, innocent to well experienced, barely scraping by to wealthy, there are so many reasons that Anthony and Raychel shouldn’t work, but watching the progression between the two and the feelings that they are finally allowing to surface made for an easy afternoon read.
Forbidden is a deliciously steamy tempting story that is intense, taboo, and dares to steal your heart. Raychel and Anthony’s story is quite the emotional rollercoaster- full of feels and steam and angst and drama and taboo and dangers. In reading this story, the adage of ” Age is just a number ” is quite true. Raychel and Anthony have been phenomenal together. Loved the heat, drama and feels they put out. I also hope Christopher gets his own story. Fabulous story!
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
“We may be sinners. We may be forbidden. But this is right. It’s so very right.”
~Anthony~
So I went into this story completely blind, no clue what it was about, and I’m so glad I did. This is a forbidden romance, taboo. Anthony is Raychel’s father’s best friend, but she’s had feelings for him for years.
Anthony only thought of Raychel as his best friends daughter until his best friend was killed. Then he started thinking of her as maybe a bit more. But how can either of them get over their own guilt, and feeling like they let down or disrespected her father.
With so many things against them, other than their ages and who they were to each other, how can they continue a relationship if you know it’ll disappoint the person you loved the most? That’s one thing they have to work out. And the journey there is oh, so delightfully wicked.
