Cason’s dream job taken from him before it can really start, one nightstand, an interview leads to love, and a big surprise for Cason that he had no clue was coming. Cason and Stormi just wow! These two are very supportive of each other and their careers, neither were ready for the call Cason received but absolutely make it work. Absolutely love all the feels this book gave me to the point I didn’t want to put it down till I finished it and also that Kristen used some of her Rockstars names for her female characters including myself. A must read spin-off from her Shots on Goal series.
For You, I Will: A Shots on Goal Spinoff Novella is a part of the DILF Mania Collaboration of 11 different authors. Stormi and Cason’s story was short and sweet and I enjoyed every word of it. They are the perfect example of how two people in love can support each other through both the good times and the times that don’t go as expected. Everything about their relationship made me smile and fall in love with not only Stormi and Cason, but the other characters as well.
Stormi and Cason were so great together and their love beautiful. The big jump in time was different but necessary for the short, sweet story. They get thrown a curveball but handle it with ease. A truly great story.
Great quick read. Cason just had a career ending injury and has no clue how to move forward. Stormi wants to be a sports writer and is waiting for her big break when she sees Cason Bennett on the subway. That one interview will change both of their lives.
The writing is great and will suck you into the story. Told in both Cason and Stormi’s POV.
I loved EVERY page of Carson & Stormi’s story! It’s quick and easy read that is perfect to indulge in while you’re waiting for the turkey to cook. This couple have their lives at their feet, they have successful careers and love that hasn’t faltered. But then Jacob comes along and gives this couple something they never knew they needed. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! And that Epilogue just melted my heart.
Carson’s professional hockey career ended in his rookie year after a hit to his knee. Stormi was an up and coming sports reports who ran into him by coincidence and he agreed to an interview. Ten years later they are happily married, and she is now a successful sports journalist and he is a successful player recruiter for the Otters. When they find out that he is the father of a twelve year old son he didn’t know he had will this couple who never planned to have children be able to adjust?
Short and sweet this is a story about not realizing what you really wanted until fate steps in. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Stormi and Cason’s story was not what I was expecting for a DILF read. Stormi and Cason have active careers that have them both traveling much of the time. When Cason gets a phone call that has the potential to shatter the life they have built, seeing them come together to help each other was great. To me it felt rushed at the end but overall was a good read.
I’m a huge fan of her hockey books so I knew I had to gobble this one up. It’s a fast paced read that hooks you right in.It has a lot of heart and feels. You can also feel the connection between Stormi and Cason.
Loved It!
I absolutely loved this story!
It was a great short story! I loved the storyline and the great characters! Carson and Stormi have been married for 10 years and both have busy careers. After getting a phone call, Carson finds out he has a 12 year old son. Carson and Stormi come together to welcome Jacob to their family!
I loved this story! I can’t wait for the next Shots on Goal Book!
Cason and Stormi have it all . Celebrating 10 years of marriage, successful careers , and a love that can withstand anything. A call out of the blue and a blast from the past may do more than test their love for one another. A great story that shows you no matter what life throws at you …For You, I Will make sure we do whatever possible to get though this !!!

FOR YOU, I WILL is a novella “spinoff” from the Shots on Goal Series (which is an awesome series, btw). This can easily be read as a stand-alone, but seriously, you will love the series – so why not read the whole thing?
This is a quick and heartfelt novella that had me feeling feelings I wasn’t expecting. The timing of the story moves very quickly and we are never left in doubt as to what is going on.
Because of the length of the novella, there is a lot of detail missing so we don’t see the day to day living of the characters, but that does NOT take away the emotion of the story.
I absolutely recommend this story, this series and this author.
I don’t think there will ever come a day when I can’t find myself completely captivated by a Kristen Hope Mazzola book. The magic she has in making a fast read feel like you’ve experienced a full lifetime of love is something I’ve only ever found with her writing. Cason and Stormi have the kind of relationship that will completely sweep you off your feet.
Adorably sweet and so beautifully in love I found myself quickly lost in all the swoony wonder that is these two. When life sweeps the rug out from under their feet and throws them directly into parenthood things only get even better in my opinion. What could tear apart others just makes these two stronger and what was already sweet becomes absolutely heartwarming as their little family grows.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Cason Bennett is really down in the dumps. Stormi Talkington isn’t afraid of taking chances. This story would be a good read for those that love romance and for those that love sports romance. With hockey season is in full swing so for those that don’t like to watch the game why not read about men who belong to a team.
I found that this book is just a teaser for the rest of the Shots On Goal series. There are jumps in time that surprised me and left me wondering, “what did I miss?” Then I find out why the author did what she did – besides keeping it a novella. She did it so that I would get hooked and want to know more about the New York Otters Hockey team. Ms. Mazzola accomplished that. Even though there are holes in the story, I wanted to see what she created for this group of men. I would also be interested to see if Cason and Stormi appear anywhere else.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is a quick DILF read with a HEA ending.
Cason and Stormi have been married for ten years. They both have demanding careers so kids were never on their agenda. So when they get a surprise phone call saying Cason has a twelve year old son they both jump feet first to make him feel welcome.
Loved this book. So want more from them!
For You, I Will: A Shots on Goal Spinoff Novella is a part of the DILF Mania Collaboration of 11 different authors. I found this book to be a quick read that moved fast as a novella sometimes does. It was a good story and I did like the characters but I felt that I didn’t quite have time to see their relationship develop and grow before it was over. I did enjoy moments in the book even though I was left with a sense of incompleteness.
So sweet, short but sweet. Cason took a hit playing hockey and now his career is over before it starts but when he meets Stormi a reporter things begin to change for him in a big way. Stormi and Cason take their careers and their lives seriously but a disruption may alter that in a big way and someone could lose.
Life can throw you curveballs.
For Cason there were highlight curveballs; Signing with the Otters, getting hurt, meeting the love of his life and finding out he was a dad.
When Cason met Stormi, he had never known that somoene could complete and support him like she did. With busy careers they had no plan to become parents but when Jacob came to light, they tackled this life chance with love and support and quickly became a family unit.
For Stormi, Cason as a dad just made her love him even more.
This was a feel good, short read.
