Seventeen Years Ago. The first time Aaron Andrews saw Simon Foster smile, he knew he was in trouble. He’d never seen anything–or anyone–like the man who’d stolen his favorite seat in his favorite coffee shop.Six Weeks Ago. The late-night phone call that changed their lives forever was short. Four little words was all it took to set them on a different path–one that included new toys (not that … included new toys (not that kind), a dose of homophobia (been there), and an appreciation for spandex (though they always appreciated it . . .)
Today. That’s what Aaron and Simon are focused on as they try to plan the best birthday in the history of ever, all for the little boy who has quickly become their world. Even if that means dealing with too-tight costumes, a cape that won’t behave, a meddlesome family . . .
. . . and a past that won’t stay there.
For Today is the third book in The Avenue series, but can be read as a standalone.

Aaron and Simon were worthy waiting for. I loved the snippets of their relationships we got in the Avenue books. They are genuine people who reminds us that love isn’t always easy. It takes work but it’s worth it.
Their meet-cute is something for the ages. Aaron’s family life hasn’t always been easy, that didn’t detract from anything. Simon is this strong, beautiful man who goes through life knowing Aaron will be there. I am so proud of this story for Beth!
I have been waiting for A and Si’s story and Beth did not disappoint! A is and has always been an integral part of Little (About Time-The Avenue 1) and Tiny’s (Because Forever-The Avenue 2) lives that it was only fitting he got his own story. From their first meeting to their present day lives, it was heartwarming to sit with A and Si and delve deep into who they are and what they’ve overcome. I was sad to see the story end and feeling a little lost.
This book was amazing! Simon and Aaron are everything! Their love is pure and good.
I have wanted a book about them since we met them and their inappropriate hilarious banter in About Time.
They are perfect for one another and the book couldn’t have been any better.
We see into their whole relationship from the beginning. It is clear they were meant to be from the get go!
B Cranfords books just keep getting better and better. I loved everything about this and I wish I could read it again for the first time!
For Today is a book I didn’t even know I needed in my life but after spending a day with Aaron and Simon, I did 100% need this book.
Over the first two books of The Avenue series, I’ve been falling in love with Aaron and Simon and their book just made me love them that much more. So many inappropriate jokes, insanely wonderful support, and so much love that I felt like my heart might explode because it was so full.
I can’t handle how much I love this series. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
Simon and Aaron are such wonderful characters, and I’m glad we got to see the whole story of how they met and fell in love. For Today is such a beautiful and sweet story, that shows love knows no color or gender…..only what’s in the heart
All the feels!
This series has quickly become one of my favourites and this story, through all the tears and laugh-out-loud moments, is the final icing on that reading cake. If you’ve read the previous books (and believe me, you want and need to if you haven’t) then Aaron and Simon are not strangers. They are friends, lovers, soulmates and above all, family. Starting from their first flirtatious beginning, each moment chronicled their struggles, the celebrations and all the ordinary moments that followed. Each one bringing them to today…
“Okay, obsessed and a little irritated.”
I loved the awkwardness of their initial meeting – the banter and the promise of things to come. And what a journey it was! Love and family is at the heart and when it is good, it is great. When it is bad? It is the worst. This is real life stuff – from the laughter, to the tears, to the incredible joys and the inevitable sorrows. So many emotions, even more pings to the heart, as Simon and Aaron do what lovers do. They fight, they love and they embrace those who love them right back.
The author mentioned this book was never on her radar but here it is with all the things I hoped for these two (and some I wish they never had to deal with). It all came together in a whirlwind of life that felt so, so right. I can’t imagine my reading world now without Aaron and Simon’s story to go back to, again and again…
*5 Emotional Stars*
I have loved Aaron and Simon since the first book in this series, About Time. This is one of the few MM books I’ve read and it is, by far, my favorite.
The Andrews family has had their fair share of ups and downs and family means so very much to them. We learn from the onset of About Time (book 1) they believe family is so much more than DNA…and it is. Throughout books one and two, we see the others’ relationships (Ash and Dunk and Austin and Odie) bloom, but Aaron and Simon were already married.
Simon balances Aaron out and they are such wonderful complements to one another. I imagine Simon having a megawatt smile that embraces you the first time you meet and Aaron a quirky smirking grin and you can’t help but love them.
This hit all the emotions for me and my favorite part of this series is the love story isn’t just the main characters of the books….it’s all encompassing.
B., thank you for their story. Bookbub made me choose stars, but this is a solid 5 tiaras. All the way xo
The Avenue Series
For Today….the story of Aaron and Simon. This story was demanded by Ms. Cranford’s fans.
I am going to be honest here and say that the M/M trope isn’t usually my cup of tea, but if a story is written well it really doesn’t matter what “trope” it is. And this story is so much more than that.
This story of Aaron and Simon is so much more than a couple in love and making a life together. These two have been together for years, through good and bad.
This deep down, is a story of unconditional love and most importantly family. Not the family you are born into, but the family you love and create from your heart and soul. This is the story of creating a life for yourself and surrounding yourself with your tribe, your people, your ride or die.
Aaron and Simon have a love that knows no color, no race, no gender and it is beautiful. The steamy times are just amazing, all sorts of sexy and tasteful without being “in your face”. Ms. Cranford has a talent of really bringing you into the story, making you feel all the feels and wishing you were a part of the Foster-Andrews’ family.
Even through adversity, hate and strife, Aaron and Simon rise above and love each other even harder. They are some of the lucky few that find their happily ever after. They don’t hide their feelings, they don’t stop communicating and that what makes them work!
So well written, I love this whole family!! One’s born into it and those who were chosen to be a part of it!
For Today (The Avenue Series Book Three) by B. Cranford is a sweet, contemporary, M/M romance told in dual POV. I’m not usually a reader of M/M romance, but as a fan of the series I had gotten to know Aaron and Simon in previous books and was interested in their story. I’m really glad that the author decided to write it, as I know it wasn’t part of her original plan.
Aaron and Simon’s story covers an eighteen-year time span from meeting and falling in love in college to facing life’s challenges and overcoming obstacles together. I thoroughly enjoyed it! All the characters are fantastic and so fun. I especially loved the witty banter between all the Andrews siblings. This is a beautiful story about friendship, family, and enduring love.
*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. ***
Aaron and Simon were the constant loving background for both Ashton (About Time – The Avenue #1) and Austin (Because Forever – The Avenue #2) during the numerous ups and dowsn in their lives.
I loved both of them when they appeared in the previous books as secondary characters and I loved them here in this story too when I learned a lot more about them. I got to travel back in time to when they first met and read their own rendition of how and what happened back then.
I liked this account of their love, how this story showed some of the most important – whether be good or bad – chapters of their relationship. I loved their honest relationship. They worked every glitch out because they wanted to and did everything to understand one another and their motives.
Both Aaron and Simon were exceptionally great. I can totally understand how they grew from secondary characters to ones wanting to tell their own story.
I loved the banter as usual between Aaron and his siblings. I had quite a few laugh out loud moments too.
M/M romace isn’t a genre I read often, but this story was a great one.
OMG!! Wow!! I fell in love with Aaron and Simon in the first book in this series and I was so excited that they got their own book! So worth the wait!! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
I adore this book!!!!
Aaron and Simon. I want them to live next door to me…this book is so special. Life hands them both challenges, but they prove that sometimes you can survive anything with the right person by your side.
That feeling of meeting someone and just knowing it’s forever. Sigh.
I dislike reviews with spoilers. GO read this, right now…
I have loved this family, created through blood, friendship, and love from the very beginning. When B. Cranford announced she was writing a book for Simon and Aaron, I knew I needed to get my hands on it. If you’ve read the rest of the series, you know this couple has had a lot to overcome, and like me you were probably dying to know more about how things progressed with the addition of Finn. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, that’s okay, because this can be read as a standalone.
I am not an expert when it comes to M/M books. In fact, this is the first I have read, but the love, friendship, and banter were just as apparent and engaging in this book as they have been in the rest of the series. I loved that this book took us back to the beginning and showed us Simon and Aaron from the beginning. Watching Aaron go through a serious case of nerves was such a different look at his personality, and I loved having that insight. I also loved watching Simon become the necessary and important member of the Andrews family we know him to be and watching their family grow and develop into what they now have.
We also got to see our favorite characters through Simon and Aaron’s eyes which was great. I loved the insight into their characters through the overlapping parts of the story, and I loved the updates on what they are up to now. If you haven’t read the rest of the series, I imagine you will want to grab up the other books the second you close this one!
This story is the perfect blend of love, witty banter, family, and friendship that we have grown to expect from B. Cranford. You will not want to miss this series or this continuation of the Andrews family.
I have been waiting for Simon and Aaron’s story from book one and WOW I was not disappointed at all. Simon and Aaron were soulmates from the minute they saw each other and not parental hatred, ethnicity bias or being disinherited could keep them apart. This story was so beautifully written and the characters had such depth that every emotion throughout the pages automatically were felt by the reader. There were many times I was caught with a huge smile across my face as well as wiping tears from my cheeks while I was reading. A true heartwarming romance that every other relationship can learn from. 5 Stars are not enough!!
I loved Aaron and Simon in the previous books about this family, so I was super excited when I saw their story was being written. And man, it did not disappoint. Their story is love in its purest form, even through obstacles and trials. Their story is the kind of love everyone strives for in their life. And add in the other Andrews family members, and this book is pure gold. I’d definitely recommend it.
My most anticipated story in The Avenue series was that of Simon and Aaron! B Cranford delivered in a major way with their HEA. The journey of their all consuming love takes us through all the feels over 17 years. The chemistry jumped off the page from the very first meet at the coffee shop where Simon shows off that grin that Aaron can’t resist. No matter the obstacle, they find their way with true compassion and the support of Aaron’s siblings and Simon’s family. Their story is a beautiful telling of love not only between A and Si, it also shows the love and importance of family. A 5 star must read!
I don’t normally read M/M, but I desperately wanted Aaron and Simon’s story from reading the other books in this series. This book is everything and more than what I hoped it would be. The book spans 20 years of their relationship, and what a beautiful journey it is. This is such a beautiful story of meeting your soul mate and standing beside him through all of life’s ups and downs. It’s a story of being and accepting who you are. It’s a story of love, friendship, and family.
In this book you will get a range of emotions. You’ll laugh at the innuendos, cry at many heart-wrenching and heart-warming moments, get angry on both Simon’s and Aaron’s behalf, want to hug both of them at their heartbreaks. Most of all throughout the book you will feel the love, the love of family and the love of a true partner. Not only will Aaron and Simon give you couple goals, all of the siblings and significant others will give you family goals. All families should love and accept one another as these siblings. If you want a beautiful, captivating story about the strong bond of everyday love, then definitely get this book.
If you have read the first two books in this series you probably fell in love with this family just like I did. You have probably also been clamoring for Aaron and Simon’s story just like I was. For Today by B.Cranford was everything I was looking for and more. The epic love story between these two is just perfection. It was heart warming and at times a bit heart wrenching but it showed how Aaron and Simon’s love has endured over the years. This was a truly lovely read.
So I’ve started to read more MM book this year and this one has got to be one of the best love stories I’ve read. I’ve finished it two days ago and I just couldn’t find the right words to express how I feel about it…I don’t think I still do but here it goes; this is book is in one word EVERYTHING. I’ve loved Aaron and Simon since the first book in the series. Their love just seem so real and steady and so beautiful it makes my eyes water. I loved how we got to see how they met and what a horrible person Patrica was. I loved how they were trying to find some middle ground to make sure that Finn was ok and that they will all be ok at the end.
Get to see all the characters form previous two books was extra bonus. This family is hilarious and loved every single one of them.
For the conclusion I’d just like to say THANK YOU B.Cranford for writing something that I’ll always remember.

I’ve been longing for this book since I read About Time, I immediately wanted to know more about Simon, the wise one. Seemingly, the only adult in the Andrews family. The way he was always there for Austin and Ashton, Aaron’s younger siblings, as they navigated life and love. I needed his story! How did the smooth and handsome Simon Foster wind up with the King of Innuendos, Aaron Andrews?
It all began with a blue chair. And the rest, as they say, is history. Love at first sight. Their story is one of the most emotional stories I’ve ever read, and I loved every minute of it.
