Can a hockey hunk teach a yoga instructor to be more flexible? “Kelly Jamieson is an auto-buy for me.”—New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips Harrison Wynn Even though I’m the oldest player on the farm team, I’m playing my heart out this year to prove that I have what it takes to compete in the NHL. Everyone expects me to live up to my dying hockey hero dad’s legacy, but my chances … dying hockey hero dad’s legacy, but my chances are receding every season.
What I need is to focus, but the team’s new yoga instructor is a major distraction; I’ve had my eye on her from the first time we met.
Except she’s not interested—okay, maybe actively disinterested—since I accidentally dumped her into the ocean during our paddleboard yoga class.
How can I prove to her—and to the NHL—that I’m worth taking a chance on?
Arya Ross
Men are the last thing I need in my life.
Yoga is my priority; it helps me center myself and heal my soul.
But I can’t turn down the once-in-a-lifetime offer to be the personal yoga instructor for the local hockey team.
Sure, there are some cute players—including Harrison Wynn, who seemingly won’t take no for an answer, and whose boyish smile and sexy charm are hard to resist.
He seems genuine, and I wonder . . .
Can I put my past behind me to start a future with him?

These two quotes sum up both Harrison and Arya perfectly. Two characters who have stood strong when many would have given up. Harrison, although a big, burly hockey player, has such a sweetness in him. And Arya, our calm yoga instructor, may be a wounded and scared, but she has a strong core and not just physically. Harrison may be my favorite Wynn yet. Although this can be read as a stand-alone, you’d be missing out on a whole lot of hockey hotness. There are some swoon worthy relatives in that hockey dynasty. Patiently waiting for Jackson & Molly. ~ Namaste

Another great one from Kelly Jamieson!
4 Star Review of For The Win (Wynn Hockey #4) by Kelly Jamieson
I enjoy Kelly Jamieson’s style of writing, her characters are strong and yet she shows that they can be human and not the “perfect” hero or heroine and this makes for a realistic and enjoyable read.
For The Win is the fourth in the latest series, Wynn Hockey and is Harrison Wynn and Arya Ross’s story, who we first met in Win Big and I really enjoyed it.
Harrison is desperate to prove he has what it takes to make it in the NHL. He lives to play hockey although he needs to be more focused and that’s where Arya comes in.
However Arya has been burnt in the past and she doesn’t want to open herself up to heartache. The family dynamics of the Wynn family is convoluted and my head spinning at times. However you know that they love one another and will protect and have one another’s back at all times.
The chemistry between Harrison and Arya sizzles and as the intensity grows you could feel the heat. I loved Harrison, he is totally swoon worthy, he made me laugh and smile.
A well written romance which gave me chills (in a good way).
Harrison can’t help being attracted to Arya. Arya has her guard up though & Harrison has to figure out how to break through. When he finally wears her down & she accepts a date with him, he shows her a side of him that’s the opposite of the jokester & goofball she initially judged him as. Arya has baggage from her past that keeps throwing obstacles in their way, and Harrison has to deal with sudden family issues. Will these two be able to navigate their bumpy road to happiness?
Another great read from the Wynn family. These two characters have a lot going on individually. If Arya would have opened up & been honest with Harrison from the beginning, a lot of mistakes he made could have been prevented. But it’s understandable why she has trust issues. Loved seeing familiar faces from previous books. Looking forward to reading the next book from this author!
This is book #4, in the Wynn Hockey series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand & appreciate the series, I recommend reading these in order.
Harrison AKA “Harry” has found the woman he wants to marry. Too bad she won’t give him even the simplest coffee date. He is not sure what he has done to turn her off. Maybe he tried too hard?
Arya has trauma and secrets in her past that she really does not want to share with anyone else. Her best friend knows and that is enough. If only she wasn’t really attracted to a certain hockey hottie who makes her temperature rise!
This story is told with kindness and humor. I was impressed as it has some controversial topics that it touches on. Very realistic, yet such a great story. The heat is on! This read was definitely hot, as it should be when we talk about hockey players. I loved the banter, and the characters brought both gentle and sexy out to play. I consider this a great read and an excellent addition to the series.
***This early copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review only.
Harrison’s never met someone so disinterested in him before, and it’s sorta bugging him. He’s got it bad for his gorgeous yoga instructor, but she isn’t interested. Or is she?
I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting Arya’s back story. It’s heartbreaking, and Harrison’s reaction was disappointing. Still, he’s really a sweet guy at heart and I was glad because she deserved someone as great as she.
Kelly Jamieson’s hockey romances are some of my favorites, and with this installment, she’s just cemented herself even more as one of the queens of sexy, emotional hockey love!
3.5 Stars
Book 4 in the Wynn Hockey series For the Win brings to the spotlight Harrison Wynn. Likeable and fun with a touch of vulnerable this was an endearing hero. How he handled his struggle with trying to live up to his potential with the looming successes of his family gave him a lot of depth and took him from coming off as immature to being a man worth getting to know. Arya took a bit e to warm up to but in the end this author was able to show why Harrison was persistent in his wooing of her and show readers what he saw in her. This was an almost instant connection with lots of hurdles to overcome, going from a passing infatuation to a serious commitment. There were some great moments with this couple ranging from silly to poignant.
There is little doubt why Kelly Jamieson is one of the Hockey romance genre’s premier authors. Her players and their heroines are engaging and she generally zeroes in on what makes her couples tick. This work grappled some with finding a balance between the personals stories of her leads and over loading with technical information especially on the part of Arya and Yoga descriptions. The interaction between the entire cast of characters in this work was well done and made up for any areas in the story that lagged. This author handled the effects of some serious subject matter involving both Harrison and Arya with sensitivity and believably. As a whole Kelly Jamieson’s love of her characters and appealing writing style made For the Win worth reading.
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone. Reading the prior books in this series is recommended to enhance the overall reading experience.*
This is book 4 in the Wynn Hockey series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone but I do recommend reading the other books first just so that you can understand all the different connections. Arya Ross has been given an offer that could change everything for her. The chance to be the personal yoga instructor for the local hockey team. And she doesn’t believe that she needs a man in her life, especially after what happened in her past. Harrison Wynn is the oldest on the farm team and has just been called up to play. So he has to not only prove that he has what it takes based on his family name but that his age isn’t a factor in his playing. He definitely doesn’t need any distractions but from the first time he meet’s Arya, he’s interested. Now he just has to convince her to take a chance on him.
You can never go wrong with this author’s books if you are looking for not only a great story to read but a hotness factor to go along with it! Harrison and Arya definitely had that together. This one definitely had a lot-from the steamy scenes to just a funniness factor that I wasn’t expecting. They both have a lot of their own issues that they have to deal with before they can truly be together. And reading about them doing so brings about a lot of different emotions that you don’t always expect. But it keeps you reading because you want to see them overcome everything and have that happy ending. And I enjoyed every moment of it! Never a dull moment!
The Wynn Family is big and complex and Harrison has always been the one with the big heart, everyone can count on. In this book, he is feeling the pressure. Hockey legend and dad, Bob, is not doing well with his health and now Harrison has an opportunity to finally move up to the NHL for good if he can prove himself to his coaches. He is feeling some self doubt with his age and living up to his father’s legacy. Then he sees Arya again the beautiful yoga instructor now hired by the Condors. She was not interested in him before but maybe he can convince her now?
Arya does not want to get involved in a romantic relationship. She is having major trust issues due to a significant trauma in her past. But Arya shows that she is strong and resilient and you can’t help but want for Harrison & Arya to get to a HEA.
Harrison & Arya begin a delicate journey to help each other and talk through things which was so much more enjoyable to read. There were some difficult issues and some fun times. Overall the big family has the impact of unconditional love and care. This was a great book in the series!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I’m absolutely smitten with the Wynn Hockey series and this one might just be my favorite of all. Kelly Jamieson is a one-click author for me, and one of the best hockey romance authors around.
Kelly Jamieson is one of those authors that I reach for automatically. Her latest book offering, For the Win, is a meaningful sports romance. This is the fourth book from the Wynn Hockey series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
Arya Ross has relocated to sunny California to start a new life. She is a talented yoga instructor and she is beginning to make a name for herself within the community. In fact, the local NHL organization has hired her to help the team with their flexibility. Due to an incident from her recent past, Arya is petrified to be in a relationship. Then professional hockey player Harrison Wynn takes one of her classes, and overtime, Arya begins to trust her instincts once again.
Harrison has just been called up from the farm team. Due to his father’s legacy, he has to work twice as hard to prove to himself and others he is capable of playing at the highest level. Arya is a delightful distraction, making it a bit difficult to remain focused. Furthermore, his father’s declining health is always on his mind. Luckily Harrison is able to rise to the occasion.
I liked this very steamy story. Getting to know both Arya and Harrison was both fun and heartbreaking. I especially enjoyed all the intense hockey action. Overall, a solid read.
Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.
The Wynns are still #winning!! *happy sigh*
Note: Even tho technically, this book can be a standalone, you’re missing out on the family ARC if you don’t start at the beginning. Your choice…..
Harrison and Arya managed to not only entertain me, but tug at my heart at every single turn! I didn’t really think that Harrison would pull a 5 Star from me, but he did! GAH, this family is everything!!
I love the Wynn Family and get so excited each time a new book hits my eReader. We got a little sneak peek into who Harrison was going a little gaga over at the end of Win Big.
This book was a heartfelt and heartbreaking story at times. Harrison is going through a wave of emotions and with his pursuit of Arya, he’s putting himself out there for the first time in a long time. Arya has her own issues and is afraid to take the steps to go out with the charming Harrison. She’s afraid to tell him of her past but knows that he just might be the guy to help her overcome her fears if only she could trust in herself.
We get lots of the Wynn Family in For the Win and I think Harrison is my favorite Wynn to date. I really love this series and highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a great family saga along with a huge dose of hockey.
The 4th book in the series, this is a standalone romance, although people from prior books make appearances (this is following the Wynn family after all!)
This book follows Harrison, a hockey player (although he’s only temporarily in the NHL, covering for injured players. This plays into his slightly low self esteem and his need to prove himself) and Arya, a yoga instructor (who teaches yoga to the hockey team). Harrison is a goof (as he’s described multiple times in the book.) I compare him to a golden retriever- sweet, soft and can maybe be tough if the situation warrants it, but rarely does. Definitely not an “alpha” character. Arya has a past that Harrison needs to overcome in order to achieve their HEA.
One thing about this book is the author spent a lot of time on details. The songs being played in the yoga class, the yoga poses, the ice cream flavors, the description of the flowers, the hockey plays and it goes on. I don’t remember her doing this for the other books in the series. As a result, the book was a little slow. However, I did like the characters, both this couple as well as past couples. It was a good book but ambles a bit.
I requested and received this book from Netgalley- thanks for a fun read!
Harrison feels he has big shoes to fill being a Wynn, especially the son of a hockey legend, being back and forth between the farm team and the Condors Harrison isn’t sure he can. With the family worried about their father’s health and the playoffs coming into play it’s not the time for a relationship but when you meet the one everything’s out the door. Arya has good reasons to be relationship shy, or dating shy for that matter and when a big goofy guy begins monkey shining in her yoga class she has no idea how to take this attraction she wasn’t ready for. Getting over the past wasn’t coming easy and Harrison’s attention was making her feelings all muddled. Great read with humor, steaminess, feels and great characters!
The legacy of the Wynn family is in hockey. Starting with the patriarch, all of his children and grandchildren, either play hockey, manage a team, or write about it. Harrison is no exception. He has been farmed out from the minors to play in the NHL again. This time, he wants to shine for the coach, so he’s not traded back. Lately his father has been forgetting people’s names, making strange decisions. Unfortunately, after going to the doctor, he was diagnosed with early stages of Alzheimer’s. This makes Harrison more determined to prove to his father that he has it in him to succeed in the NHL. When the team hires a sexy yoga instructor to help the team to heal quicker with injuries and to also prevent them, Harrison is onboard. He’s had his eye out for Arya Ross since he dunked her in the ocean by mistake.
Arya’s past has been helped by yoga. Now she owns her own studio and recently got an offer to do a once a week class for the local NHL team. She’s not ready for dating yet, but a sexy hockey player keeps asking her out, and maybe, just maybe, she’ll agree to go on a date with him. Is it possible that Arya can move forth and let Harrison into her life?
Like anything that Kelly Jamieson writes, this book is no different. Another hit!
I received a copy of this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting for Harrison and Arya to get together for a couple of books now, and I am thrilled that we finally have their story.
Arya is a much more complex character than I had initially thought she was going to be, but we all have a past and it is what makes us the person we are right now so I wasn’t surprised to learn about certain aspects of her background. I will say though she is one heck of a strong person and I don’t mean that just because she can do all of those crazy yoga poses on a paddle-board.
Harrison Wynn is fun loving and carefree, well for the most part anyway. I love his good nature and pure heart. He and Arya are like Yin and Yang, they fit together perfectly and balance one another.
I have been enjoying this series and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the Sports Romance trope. I would suggest you read the books in the order they have been released because there is family drama that plays out throughout each of the books and it’s best followed in order rather than in bits and pieces.
Happy Reading!!!
If you’ve ready any of my previous reviews for this series you probably know what I’m going to say — I really love this series so much, and For the Win is another winner in this series.
Harrison Wynn is the fun guy, floating between the NHL team and the Condors farm team. Underneath his fun-loving exterior, he wonders if he is good enough for his family’s expectations. When he meets Arya Ross, he’d immediately intrigued by her. When she becomes the team yoga instructor, he’s in pursuit. He’s quite charming as he gets to know her. What he doesn’t know is that Arya’s past may be the thing that keeps them apart.
I really love adore this series. There’s hockey (and quite a bit of it in this book) and family drama which enrichs the story. There’s two people who are totally right for each other — it just takes them a while for both of them to get on the same page. The sex is steamy and just detailed enough for this reader. The focus is on their feelings, and I really like that about the hot scenes in this story.
For the Win works as a standalone, but I would recommend reading every book in this series — you’ll get hooked just like I did!
An ARC was provided by the publisher. This is my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book and the entire series thus far. Harrison Wynn is my type of hero. He’s a goofball, but he knows what he wants. Reminds me a lot of my hubs. And he sure had his work cut out for him with Arya who was resistant from the start. I can’t wait for what’s next in the Wynn family.
Review:
Kelly Jamieson has a way of telling a story that makes you fall in love with the unlikely character. She takes what could be a very one-dimensional character and makes them so much more. The Wynn family is full of strong and diverse characters. I was so in love with Theo’s story I wasn’t sure that I would fall in love with Harrison. Harrison seems just to be skating by on his name and his talent. The oldest player on the farm team for the Condors, the NHL team his dad owns, he told by his coached he isn’t giving a 100% to hockey. Harrison has been called up to play for the Condors for the rest of the season and playoffs he has a chance to show he belongs on the team.
When Harrison meets Ayra he just knows she is his everything. Harrison has a heart like non other. He loves big. He himself suffers from self-doubt and trusting in his own abilities on and off the ice. Using the same intensity, he is going after his dream of a place on the Condors he peruses Ayra.
Ayra a victim of trauma has spent years relearning to trust herself and her heart after a relationship goes very bad. So, when Ayra is pursued by this big hockey player she isn’t sure what to do. She is attracted to him, but self-doubt makes it hard for her to allow Harrison a chance. Ayra’s self-doubt can be paralyzing and seem impossible to know who you can trust. From Yoga farts to bowling there isn’t a moment in this story that you are not rooting for Harrison and Ayra. Every interaction in this books has you rooting for Ayra and Harrison.
Harrison’s layers of passion, self-doubt, his love and kindness you fall in love with him and join team Harrison. Ayra’s past hurt makes you wish for her to trust her heart and let Harrison’s love find a way in. Another amazing story by Kelly Jamieson. Kelly gives you the man you need in that moment. The reminder that love isn’t always easy. That even if you feel it from the first moment it may take your partner a moment to trust themselves and feel it too.
