In the final installment of the Record series, Brady and Liz must deal with the fall out after going public with their relationship. The one thing missing from FTR is the angst that K.A. Linde is famous for. I actually missed that pain in my chest. I forced myself to take a step back and thought about their story as a whole and realized this was just simply the natural progression. FTR showcased how two mature adults dealt with the pressures of Brady’s campaign and Liz’s struggle to find her way after graduation. Brady is sexy as ever and scored even more points when he stands up for Liz every chance he can. Every time that man said, “hey, baby”, my knees buckled!! DAMN HIM! Liz is one lucky woman. This is a great series and can’t wait to read Clay and Savannah’s books.
This one was so much better than the second and first one mainly because both Liz and Brady could breathe now about not keeping their relationship a secret. I loved that they were now out in the open, and I loved Brady even more he was such a different person in this book it was like a weight was lifted off his shoulder, “I’d say I generally need more than a minute, Liz,” he said, his signature smirk crossing his face.” He still sometimes has to make the first move and be bold for his woman, “Brady smirked at her, “Bay, I never joke about wanted you.” He loosened himself from his boxer briefs and took a seat facing her.” He’s also learning about compromise and for someone like Brady that is a big deal, “I’m learning something about equality, baby,” he growled before lifting her with his hands around her a** and throwing her back into the couch.” He’s also learning that when his woman says they need to talk, they need to talk, “he dropped his hands from her zipper and nodded. “All right. Are you okay? Did something happen?” He is still a big ole’ tease where Liz is concerned but he’s also a big softie, “no. If I was teasing,” he said, turning and pressing her back into the wall. His hand slid up her thigh and pulled it up around his hip. “I would tell you about how much I want to eff you just like this.” Sometimes in this book I wanted to know more about Clay and his relationships in the book so I’m hoping there’s one in the works.
This review is going to be a bit disjointed because my dumbass didn’t realize that I went from book 1 to book 3. Though I do remember checking, I now realize I bought them out of order…I did mention I was dumb.
Even missing book 2, I was able to follow the story and appreciate the highs and lows. Though I was confused when the author brought up what I clearly should have known. (Not confused by the mentions, just how i was supposed to already know it happened. Apparently, the skip a book method leaves holes in storylines. smh )
Even still, I greatly enjoyed and now have to go back and catch what I missed.
Btw, Love Clay!
