Op-9 has had his share of difficult assignments before, but this one is different. This one may cost him his life. His target is unknown.
What he knows is factory workers are dying under mysterious circumstances and the killer may be one of their own.
Now he must play a role and embed himself in the factory, working side by side with ex-cons and a cast of highly suspicious characters.
With lives … lives on the line, Op-9 must adhere to tight security protocols, company politics, and a deep desire to bring the murderous rampage to an end.
Will he root out the killer and remove himself from the situation before his cover is blown?

The story isn’t bad, but it’s not memorable, either. It has potential and a great premise, but in all honesty, the writing is stilted and lacks flow to keep you glued. The characters are rather two-dimensional. I would love to see this book go through a rewrite, a little more care taken to smooth it out and give it the voice it deserves.
It was such a short book, there wasn’t time to really get to know the characters well, so I really didn’t care about them. The plot was predictable. It still kept my interest though just in case he changed his mind and did something drastic at the end. I was hoping there was more action. It was all very sad. This book has lots of intrigue, lots of action.
This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book through Book Funnel.
This is a dangerous and action packed thriller. Twists and turns leaving you to guess what is going to happen next. OP 9 is undercover and needs to figure out what’s going on and why so many are dying? Thinking you can predict the outcome of the storyline is foolish. Grab a cup of coffee because this short story you don’t want to put down. More please. Received ARC copy and this is my honest opinion.
An aura of suspense begins immediately with Paul Davis’ writing style describing the arrival on a train by OP-9. Cryptic orders sent by texts heighten the suspense as OP-9 completes the orders. Intriguing, page turner to the end, no way to put it down.
Grab a copy for a short mysterious escape with For the Love of Jeremy, you will not be disappointed. My honest opinion for an ARC copy.
Interesting short story about an operative who is sent out to resolve injustices. In this case, you kind of understand both sides of what’s happening as it unravels. Worth the read.
This was a new series by Paul David. Op-9 works for the Syndicate King’s Knight. He is sent on jobs to tar care of the bad guys. This job is in Grofer, Minnesota. He only has a phone and a small suitcase as he gets on his bus that takes him to his next assignment. Periodically he gets messages on the phone.it tells him what his name will be and there wii be a package waiting for him at the hotel. The bus was running late so he had to ring several times to get the owner to open. When he gives his name and their is a reservation under his name but the owner wants to see if. He tells him he lost his driver’s license and is probably in the package. That isn’t good enough for the owner so he says let me call you and my name will show up on your phone. It did so he got his package. Inside the package is his ID, billfold a little bit of cash, an ATM and a prepaid Visa card. Also a gun, ammunition, lock picking tools, an some senors with cameras. He is given two names, he doesn’t know if he is to save one from the other or not. In the closest are working clothes and shoes. He finds out he wii be working at a factory that have had lots of accidents that the person ends up dead. Carl keeps his cover, does all his assignments and then is ready to go to next job. This book has lots of intrigue, lots of action and for a good part of the book you don’t know who he is there to take care of. A very good read, will be watching for the next one.
Everything in the story goes as planned, the main character OP-9, does his research, discovers who are the cullprits, identifies the motives and takes the action he was supposed to take. All told with rhythm, flair and action packed. Let´s see which will be OP-9´s next future mystery adventures !
