Cop and Baker
Overall, it was a decent story. I felt that the heroine was a bit bi-polar. One minute, she’s all in, the next she’s full-stop. It’s amazing that the hero didn’t get whiplash. And while I appreciate the “drama” in this story, I did have an issue with some of the police procedure (always call for backup, always), and the fact that one bad relationship turned the heroine anti-relationship? It did have it’s moments, and I loved Poppy, Jamal, Logan and Karina.
Really interesting and intriguing story. She was a bit too something. Too stubborn I guess. And the guy was too reckless for a cop. But over all an entertaining book.
I’m sorry I hate not giving great reviews and maybe for others this book would be okay but for me it just wasn’t. I just never was able to buy into the relationship between Damon and Cherry. I just didn’t feel the chemistry.

Great quick read. Lots of drama and action to keep you wondering. The romance was sweet and hot and the characters were very likeable.
Worth the read.
I loved this hot, easy to Read curvy book with amazing characters. I found myself flying through each page to see what happened next. Ps her ex is a jerk.
Cherry Maraschino is the perfect name for a baker, but her life is not all donuts and curlers. Her troubled love life brings officer Damon, a big hunky cop to Cherry’s rescue. He’s been a regular at her shop gazing at her from afar while ordering Boston crème donuts and coffee. During a late-night double shift with his partner they’re called to investigate a domestic disturbance. Damon finds Cherry and her boyfriend in a heated argument. The boyfriend on the verge of violence.
Quick read, fun, suspenseful and sweet.

The cop finds his personal donut baker
For Love and Donuts is the first book I have read by McKenna Rogue. As it is the Book One in the new series Love Demands a Holiday I thought it might be a good introduction to this author’s writing. I have to say that I did really like this story. I found it to be fast-paced, entertaining, laugh out loud funny, romantic, had some action and then some steamy action. The characters of Damon of Cherry were wonderfully written and were so well matched to each other, the cop and the donut baker. I also liked that this book was written using dual POV’s, so I could get more insight into each character from reading their internal dialogue and thoughts.
All in all this was an enjoyable book to read and I look forward to reading the next in the series.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I liked the hero but the female lead made me want to smack her more often than not. Other than that there is a lot going on in this book, a troubled teen, a tornado, an ex who tried to turn abusive but ended up as a stalker. So much drama. This story would be a perfect Lifetime tv movie.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Damon and Cherry. She runs the local bakery and he’s a cop. They know each other from him stopping in and getting a coffee with a Boston cream donut. He’s called to a domestic violence that happens to be between Cherry and Michael. Then soon months pass before they really see each other. When a storm threatens the bakery, Cherry and Damon try to batten down the hatches. They get an unexpected visitor, Michael shows up and starts causing problems again. Damon and Cherry work on their friendship but get closer all the time. When Michael endangers both of their lives, they realize what they truly want. Great HEA

I loved how Damon and Cherry annoyed my at time with their indecisiveness over their own feelings and feelings for each other. Cherry has been trying to work out who she is for a while now with an over bearing mother who doesn’t like her curves or being single, a bakery left to her and a now ex boyfriend who doesn’t seem to know when to walk away where as Damon knows what he wants which is Cherry but doesn’t want to come across the wrong way as well as still not really having dealt with his past. There are some good laughs, “Awe” moments, tense times as well as steamy scenes to keep you entertained and wanting more.

This book is *YUMMY*
“This donut romance was absolutely delicious. And I’m not just talking about the donuts…
Loved that the MC, was a police officer coming in for donuts. That absolutely tickled me. And the romance was as sweet and hot as the donuts described in the book, which yum. I highly recommend reading about Officer Hottie and Cherry Maraschino (come on, how can you not love that?) with some Krispy Kremes for effect.
Super excited to read more from McKenna Rogue!
Cherry and Damen really are made for each other. They both have to let their guard down and their pasts behind them to be able to let love in. Will they be able to realize their feelings before its to late?
So much fun with a bit of suspense mixed in you’ll love.

This was such a good story. The characters were so well written. Damon was such a great guy that Cherry didn’t feel like she deserved him or his love. These two people fight for what they want and ultimately they find happiness. I loved the ending.

When you cannot ignore his inner goodness and strength. Officer Damon Langley visits the bakery every day attracted to the donuts as well as the curvy owner, Cherry. After Damon rescues Cherry. He stays away for 6 months until he no longer can. Michael is Cherry’s abusive ex who doesn’t understand the word ‘no’. Damon is trying to court Cherry who carries her baggage and erects walls. Damon participates in a series of rescues from Michael until a tragedy occurs. Does Damon have the patience? Can Cherry set down her baggage? Can Michael be stopped? The story keeps you fully engaged! Good characters, you want them for friends. Good story. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
I’m obsessed with Cherry and Damon. I wish all or at least more men in the real world were like this character. All of the descriptors, they really pull you into this wonderful story.

A very cute story about a cop and an introverted baker. But of course it wouldn’t be a story without a lot of drama and suspense. We have sweet, thoughtful Cherry trying to balance having a successful business while mooning over local cop Damon. Of course they go that new relationship dance before finally figuring things out, that is they would if there wasn’t a former boyfriend trying to gum up the works while battling Mother Nature. Fun read.

Cherry Maraschino owns the best bakery in town, and it’s Officer Langley’s favorite place for breakfast. He and his partner rescue Cherry the night her now ex-boyfriend caused a huge scene when she broke up with him. Six months later, Officer Langley is back, and he wants to go out with Cherry. They spend the night together in the basement of her bakery when a huge storm blows through town, and there’s trouble again with her ex. This was a cute short book – the characters were good together – an enjoyable afternoon read.
