I really enjoyed reading this book. One I could re-read this one many times.
Love a book that has Football in it, love it more when the girl knows Football too!!! Really enjoyed this book
Genuinely loved their story and how a strained friendship turned into love. Not easy but nevertheless a great love. Second chance!!!
I liked the characters and their witty banter, but anything that wasn’t sarcasm was not executed well, in my opinion.
For Finlay is a great read. It’s a heart string pulling story. Finlay is guilt-ridden and grieving the lost of her twin brother, Cole. Cole was an amazing football player. Cole was her other half. They had been tight but before he passed away their relationship was rocky. After his death Finlay floated through life and not really living. She’s now at the college Cole was attending. She’s the water girl for the football team that was suppose to be Cole’s football team. You can’t help but feel for Finlay. She strong and sassy. She hates the star quarterback, Caden. He seems like a good guy but Finlay holds a grudge against him. They have great chemistry and even though she tries to stay away from him there is a pull between the two. Finlay keeps things from Caden and when they come out it’s cause problems. There are a lot of misunderstanding in this story. Lots of times I get frustrated when characters have misunderstanding that could be easily fixed by just talking but in this one the misunderstandings felt right and didn’t frustrate me. I really liked this one.
Words can’t even begin to describe just how much I absolutely adored this beautifully captivating and perfectly written story! For Finlay happens to be my very first experience into J. Nathan’s amazing writing style and all I can say was that I certainly wasn’t disappointed! Immediately after finishing this story I added all of her other books onto my Amazon wishlist with plans to purchase them all as soon as possible. I must say that I experienced such an abundance of emotions during the two hours it took me to devour this extraordinary novel!
Finlay Thatcher’s entire world was turned upside down just a short two years ago when she lost her other half – her twin brother Cole. Ever since losing him she’s struggled with rediscovering herself without him, but readers watch as she slowly begins to come out of her shell when she decided to relocate to Alabama to attend the school her brother was supposed to attend before his untimely death. There’s just one little problem…or should I say person standing in her way.
Caden Brooks’ is Alabama’s star quarterback and the one that took her brother’s place on the football team. After the death of Finlay’s brother, Caden becomes the guy who has it all, from the attention of the fans to a future in the pros, which was Cole’s goal in life. When Caden meets Finlay there’s an instant attraction between the two of them, but she continues to keep him at arms length because of who he is and the sadness he represents in her life.
This was a relatively fast paced story that I devoured in one sitting. I mean seriously I could not put it down because it was so captivating and captured something unique. I’m really hoping that we will eventually see more of these characters in the near future!
