So when she’s offered a temporary housesitting job, she takes it.Living at one of the poshest addresses in Manhattan is like entering a new world–one that catapults her into the … her into the orbit of billionaire Dominic Baine, the darkly handsome, arrogantly alpha resident of the building’s penthouse. What begins as a powerful attraction soon explodes into a white-hot passion neither can deny.
Yet as scorching as their need for each other is, Avery doesn’t expect Nick’s interest in her to last. Couldn’t put this book down & immediately bought the second one! If you don’t like lots of hot steamy sex don’t read this book!
For 100 Days is the first installment in Lara Adrian’s erotic romance series titled 100. I recently met this author and can I tell you just how kind she is? I have never read any of her books before but I immediately researched her bibliography and holy moly! This sweet lady writes erotica! I have even more admiration for her!!
I placed a few of her books on hold at my library and For 100 Days was the first to come available. Overall, I liked it. I enjoyed getting to know the heroine, her past and present stressors, and her family dynamics. I liked her character very much, and also enjoyed the art component that is incorporated. If you are a fan of erotic romances that feature high-profile billionaires who choose the ordinary but promising girl, check out For 100 Days.
My favorite quote:
“Don’t let fear keep you from pushing your personal boundaries. If you do, you’ll miss out on some of the most pleasurable things in life.”
Lara Adrian’s 100 series includes the following installments as of November 2016:
#1-For 100 Days
#2-For 100 Nights
#3-For 100 Reasons
A struggling artist tending bar to make ends meet, Avery seems to have everything going wrong all at once. The gallery rejects her artwork, her landlord is on her case, and then her apartment building is sold and she has two weeks to get out. So when a customer at the bar offers Avery the opportunity to house sit her ritzy Park Avenue apartment, it seems the perfect answer to both their problems. And then Avery (literally) runs into billionaire Dominic Baine in the elevator. But Avery is a young woman with secrets. Secrets borne of heartache. Will hiding her secrets now cost her everything? Damaged Alpha Billionaire meets More Damaged struggling artist. Okay, so it’s a theme we’re all familiar with but its hot, hot, hot. Mature content but if FSOG was too much, this one is a bit more palatable. Big cliffhanger ending.
I read this book so fast, I think I have jetlag. Not sure how that works, but it did! Seriously excellent billionaire contemporary romance that I could not put down. Definitely picking up book two.
This is the first book that I read from Lara Adrian. I decided not to start with her vampire series but instead start with his one because I have been curious about it for some time now.
The story is about Avery, a woman who moved to the big city to escape her past and in the hope of fulfilling her dream of becoming an artist. But life isn’t always that easy. She’s working as a waitress and painting in her free time. Her big dream of selling her paintings is yet to come true. And then her landlord tells her that she has to move out of her apartment, so very soon she will be homeless too. Just when Avery is thinking of giving up, she gets an offer by a female customer, to housesit her apartment for 4 months. Avery can’t believe her luck. She accepts, not knowing that that decision will change her life forever.
Because it’s in her ‘new’ building that she meets the mysterious, handsome, billionaire Nick Baine.
‘For 100 days’ is in my eyes more an erotic story. The sexual attraction between Avery and Nick is big. If you don’t like a lot of sex in your story, then this book isn’t for you. The story is told from Avery’s POV and the story certainly held my attention the whole time. From the start of the story you know that Avery and Nick have secrets. Slowly, we get more details about Avery’s past and secrets. Although ‘For 100 days’ is a good story, I did miss a bit of depth in it and I (personally) missed a bit of strength in Avery. The end of the story didn’t’ really grip me enough to immediately start in the second book but someday I will read it.
This book was marketed as hotter than the Grey series and even better. No, it was not. It was depressing to tell the truth and while I kept with it, I’m not sure why. The story line wasn’t bad, but it seemed rather shallow in places and just skipped here and there. The major characters were well developed, but the end was rushed. Sorry I paid for any of it.
This series blew me away!
I loved this story and hated when it ended.
Loved it
First, I hate when books aren’t complete stories. I’ve read trilogies where each book tells a part of the story, but can stand on it’s own. This just left me hanging. It fwlt like I was being tricked into needing to buy all three, and of course the 2nd and 3rd were not priced as low as the first.
Next, the characters never seemed real enough for me to care about the rest of their story. So I won’t be buying the rest of the books. Should have written one good book, not tried to stretch the story into 3 books.
Just can’t lose with Lara Adrian
I like the book, but I find the issue of S&M to be a little too false. Yes, it can and does happen, but there seems to be less consent from the female character than I would like to see.
The male character is very strong, very aggressive. He could be toned down a bit and make the story more in keeping with the progressive times in which we live.
After reading this I had to buy the sequels. Hot steamy sex wins every time!
Must purchase others in series for complete story.
Scorching hot! If you’re looking for steamy, intense and magnetic chemistry, this is the book for you. I have a new favorite author.
We’ll developed storyline and characters
great book couldnt put it down. read the second one, cant wait for the third.
