Dascha Lane and her brother Wyatt are Florida bound to liquidate their late father’s racing string. The trainer in charge, Oliver Way, is all too eager to get his hands on his favorite horse at last– at the Lane’s expense. He convinces them to run the horse in a claiming race for less than it’s worth, assuring them he’s doing a favor, but with every intent to secretly claim the filly for … himself. The last thing he expects is for Dascha’s wrath to be so beautiful. Or for Wyatt to muck it all up.
In this sweet, romantic comedy of errors can fools rush in and come out as lovers? Or will it all end in flying hooves and broken hearts?

I really enjoyed this book. I was really hard to stop reading. I wanted more. It is an wonderfully confusing love story of horses and people. I recommend this book. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
Confusing. With it being a novella you don’t get a lot of world or character building. How do fall in love with someone who’s willing to screw you over during your time of grief. People can be a**holes but that’s a whole other level of a**hole.
A good story on horse racing ,relationships and finding your way through life after losing your father. A clean love story you will enjoy.

There are sweet parts, but overall it is sometimes confusing and silly.

Dascha and Wyatt head to Florida to liquidate assets from their recently deceased father’s estate – three thoroughbreds housed as Gulfstream Park. There’s some owed money to Oliver, the trainer, for care of the horses. Dascha and Wyatt know a bit about polo ponies, but this is a learning experience for them. Wyatt tries to set Dascha up with Oliver. She likes him, but he’s with her gay brother, isn’t he? I really enjoyed this book. I love the characters – they’re fun and quirky. The story moves right along, never stopping long enough to get stale. My personal education into the thoroughbred world took place largely at Gulfstream Park, a place that is still near to my heart, forty-some years later. I took this book as an ARC read, then accepted two additional books from this same author, and then had a mini-panic – what if the books are horrible, or poorly written?!? No problems there – I’m truly looking forward to the next two in this series.

This is a wonderfully fast-paced book that propels the reader into the world of horse racing with a fun plot. Two people from very different backgrounds are brought together in a believable way.
The writing is excellent and as a fellow author, I found myself highlighting many original expressions. 🙂
Bravo! I look forward to reading more in this series.
