Don’t f*ck with Fate.Deva Rainsong has found her dragon soul, but she still feels incomplete. As a chimera, bred in a lab from the blood of all four higher races combined with human blood, it will take no less than a fragment of a soul from all five races to complete hers. Yet even as she starts to believe that she can finally be complete and all her powers awakened, her hopes are dashed when her … hopes are dashed when her soul gifts come with unexpected side effects. And to top it off, more fate hounds have been systematically killing other members of the bloodline, putting Deva’s suitors in danger.
Everyone knows that Fate doesn’t like loose ends, but Deva is still scrambling for an explanation for the attacks. Will she be able to discover Fate’s plan before it’s too late?
Warning: This series is a spinoff of Ophelia Bell’s epically sexy “Immortal Dragons” series. It is a fast-burn HOT and steamy RH odyssey, with some M/M content, not meant for the faint of heart (or libido)… #whychoose!

Well this was good because we finally get to know two important things:
1. Ozzie’s Full Secret.. tsk tsk tsk…
2. Llyr’s reason for being such an asshat to Deva right after they were together that first time!
So with these two big things being revealed, at least to the reader, this series is starting to make more sense. Of course we still don’t know why the hounds are attacking and why Fate is involved. We also don’t know why Deva can’t be around her mates at the same time without the results that are happening to her, on the other hand of that coin, we can guess why her sudden aversion to Ozzie…sighs, so many questions answered, so many still unanswered and so many new ones!
At least Keagan finally came around and got his head out of his ass, so that’s something. The other holdouts are a little baffling but understandable.
While I enjoyed the book and getting some answers…this too ended on a whopper of a cliffhanger! This series saving grace is the fact that the books that follow come out rather quickly so I don’t have to wait years to get an answer. Oh and they actually are really good and entertaining but would be so much better without the cliffhangers…
Until the next one!

This book is so good and steamy. The romance scenes are so vividly written. The characters absolutely amazingly detailed it’s like you are looking right at them and able to touch them. Through the whole book you are drawn in and even surprised at every turn of events. I couldn’t stop reading this book and I recommend it to everyone.
Ophelia Bell has knocked me out with this series!! I read the first in the series in two sittings. I then immediately purchased and pre-ordered each of the books remaining in the series. I have to say I was not disappointed! It only hurt when it ended.
This incredible ride, might I say was fantastic. I would recommend it to all (over18 of course) have a tea and enjoy….

I love this series. It is just the right about of steam and story. We learn a bit more in this book that only cements your love for the characters. At least that is what happened to me. Book 3 can’t get here fast enough!
Absolutely loved this book and series so far. I could not get enough of this and can not wait for more. Amazing characters!
Damn this series is getting better and better I’m loving every single step of the way!
Character breakdown;
Deva: I love that she is growing more learning more and accepting more. She still has a few annoying traits but they can be overlooked.
Rohan: I found him too adorable for words. Now he has a hero worship complex lol
Keegan: finally no more brooding! Lol I love how dirty he was in his book. The scenes are too hot for my kindle!
Bodhi: I am looking forward to how things go with him in the next book. Just been a little frustrating with him but I get it human society has effed its into believing normal is monogamy.
Llyr: this man is a little shady but I get what his doing and why. I am (not too patiently) awaiting how it will go with him and Deva.
Ozzie: the sympathy for him had return but his still a petulant child. Let’s work on that dude lol
Fate: omg it’s like the more I learn the more I hate him/her/it lol. It’s like Fate thinks he has monopoly over everyone ever. Nope you don’t!
Sandor: why you tortured him Ophelia? Why? Lol
Williem: poor baby!
The book captured my attention the way the first one did, the cliffhangers are killing me though. But the author had my undivided attention!
Yes. Yes. YES! I loovveee this series! I was hesitant at first but then I was sucked in. This book keeps getting better and better. I love the characters, the flow, the love connections. I love that I get to still see my favorite characters! One thing that is bugging me is Deva and Ottie. I’m not sure why she hasn’t figured it out yet. But I certainly can’t wait until they do!
Overall: 4.5/5

Deva’s story keeps developing, as do her relationships with the men in her life. They’re all an integral part of her, and some of them are learning just how their bonds are an integral part of the equation. The M/M scenes were so steamy, as were the connections between Deva and Keagan, Ozzie, Bodhi and even Llyr. The hounds are still a big threat, and yet Fate is never too far away. More secrets are revealed, but more questions hang in the balance. The cliffhangers drive me batty because I want to know what happens right now!
I received for an honest review from Booksprout
This was a different kind of read for me but I truly enjoyed the story and the characters I just loved it hooked from the start

Another wonderful story. A continuation from the first book. Let’s you know more about Deva & her mates. But again it ends in a cliffhanger. So more waiting to find out what happens next! Ophelia Bell’s books are the only cliffhangers I read. Usually I pass on a book with a cliffhanger. I highly recommend this book series. You won’t be disapponted!!

This is the second book in the series and all of the pieces are slowly coming together. We are finally getting some answers in what is happening. The scenes between the guys are so hot. Deva is one lucky girl. The plot had its wonderful twists and turns and i could not out it down. I blew through the book so fast. I can’t wait until the next book.
Love! Deva and her yummy men take you on a roller coaster of a ride in this rendition. The higher elements are expressing themselves in Deva and she is not afraid to use it. Cant wait for part three.
Deva is still finding herself, connecting with the possibilities of her own abilities and getting to know more of her mates. While the are getting intimate with each other, Fate is playing a dangerous game. I don’t know if It makes the best for destinies to be fulfilled. The story is full of intrigue and sexy action, lots of sexy action. There is a cliffhanger, a big one so I will have to wait for the next installment.

My God I HATE CLIFFHANGERS! Worst of all I knew that going in there was one. But I had to know what happened after the last book. Ok now that I have that out of my system. This is an extraordinarily well written and thought out book. I found myself reading it straight through in one sitting. Only to get to the end and have to wait for the next book. But fortunately it was so worth it. Especially one who talked in the room at the last moment of the book. I could see why everyone was freaking out except maybe for Maddie.
This is Deva’s continuing story. She has finally found her dragon soul. But now that she is mated with Rhonn she can do a lot more things. Now she just has to get her Ursa soul that may be harder then it looks. Especially when Bode and Keegan take off . When she finds out what she needs to be complete her soul will she be able to do it. The hounds, her hounds are under control but unfortunately fate is not happy. And he is systematically as we saw in the last book destroying the bloodline. Now she and the others just has to figure out how to fix things before fate tries to destroy them all. I’m so ready for the next book and can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Let me first start by saying I have read all of this authors previous works and have loved then. However, this book fell short of her previous books. However, this book was sex on a stick. The sex is as always hot between all the characters. It clarified and advanced some of the relationship issues between several of the male characters but didn’t do much to advance the real story line. It is a should read just to be able to keep up with what is going on between the story characters but not for the purpose of keeping up with the main story line. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with it. In my opinion this could have been part of either the previous book or split between the previous book and the next book instead of being a disappointing cliff hanger.

This story is awesome!! I’m totally hooked into this new series. There’s lots of unexpected surprises packed into this tale. I thought more than once, “Wow…I didn’t see THAT coming!!!” This book continues on with Deva’s quest of her search for a complete soul (even though it’s pretty obvious what she needs to do next but of which she’s stubbornly refusing to allow to happen due to an unfounded and mis-placed hatred)… To put a monkey wrench into the story is the fact that no one knows exactly what Fate has up its sleeve (other than destroying people linked to the bloodline) and what “it” ultimately wants. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in the series—this book definitely ends in a cliff-hanger!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We’re back with Deva in book 2. The writing and chemistry continues to be excellent as the series progresses. Start with book 2 and I’m excited to see what comes next. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
