She was everything he didn’t want in a woman and everything he couldn’t resist. She thought he was arrogant on top of other things. Norman Evans is taking a break from being the Sexiest Man Alive, multimillion dollar paychecks, and a fiancee more interested in fashion than fun. Enter Abby McGregor, a much younger community college student saving up to go to a private university across the country … the country who cleans houses in his small town to raise money for tuition. She doesn’t care at all who he is, and he cares too much about her. It boggles his mind how someone as inexperienced as Abby is can teach him about the world, and about himself. There are plenty of reasons why these two shouldn’t be together, but the one thing that keeps them coming back is this unrelenting attraction that won’t let them go.

Foolish Games by Heather C. Myers is Abby and Norman’s story. He is a multi-millionaire, and she cleans houses for a living while going to Community College.

Abby goes to her cleaning job and finds a man taking a shower in the bathroom. Norman is shocked when the young woman accuses him of trespassing and she doesn’t seem to care who he is. Abby knew who he was and enjoyed his work but wasn’t going to go all fangirl on him. They are drawn to each other but can’t act on because they both have significant partners. The more time they are around each other the harder it is to not act on their feelings but neither is willing to end their relationships due to trust issues. Will they finally admit their feelings and end their current relationships to be together?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is interesting, amusing and dramatic. Norman is cocky, snide, troubled and jack*ss movie star. Abby is outgoing, caring, stubborn and insecure. When Abby shows up at her job cleaning a house she expects the house to be empty, but it’s not, there’s a man in the bathroom she goes into taking a bath. They accuse each other of trespassing and demand the other get out, then they finally figure out that they both belong there. Norman is amazed because Abby just stood in the bathroom arguing with him, she was not fazed by who he was, or even that he was naked. Abby loved him as an actor, thought he was good looking and all, but wasn’t gaga over him. And then she decidedly disliked him when he opened his mouth. Never the less, she finds herself drawn to him, even though she has a boyfriend, and he’s engaged. Norman is drawn to her too, she’s vivacious, she’s naturally beautiful and she doesn’t think that he’s anything special. They fall in love with each other, but both refuse to break off their relationships. For him it’s because he’s a loser with no balls, her because she doesn’t believe that he could really love her when he’s engaged to a supermodel. They fight feelings and each other til the very end. I lost all sympathy and respect for him at the end because of what he was doing, but before that I liked him. And Abby was personable but entirely too stubborn.
This is more than just a romance between an older man/younger woman, it’s a love story. Abby cleans the home of an older couple to save money for college and Norman is home visiting his parents. I loved the way they were friends first before falling for each other. This is an emotional story full of twists and turns that pulled me into the story.
Heather C. Myers was a new author to me, I volunteered to read and review Foolish Games based on the blurb alone.
I had problems with the main characteristics of both the H and the h. Somehow I couldn’t warm up to either of them. Abby, the female lead, was young and inexperienced. Her behaviour was told to be stubborn but I thought of it as childish. Based on her young age it was somewhat expected with this plot. Norman, the male lead, was significantly older so his childish, infantile behaviour was a huge turn-off. Him not being able to decide on what or who he wanted and never breaking up his engagement made him downright unlikeable.
But these are only my subjective impressions of fictional characters and not the main reason I didn’t really like this book.
The writing style was a bit hectic for my liking. The story was written in third person narrative which I think gives the authors the most useable tools in their hands if executed well. This time though I didn’t like the execution. It felt rather hectic and random, the story didn’t flow. Based upon the writing I thought the author was being inexperienced, but after finishing I learned that quite the oppposite was true, as the author has a number of books behind her sleeve already.
So it seems her style just wasn’t ideal for me. The last straw was the impossibly lame not-ending which just annoyed me further.

This is not a romance novel – it’s a love story, a wonderful love story. Norman is a famous actor who’s gone home to visit his parents. Abby cleans his parents house to save money for college, and she is not the least bit impressed with his status. But they begin to spend a lot of time together, and a wonderful friendship evolves into something more. Both of them are concerned about the 26-year age difference. His parents don’t particularly like his fiancee, Victoria, and his mother actually tries to push him to Abby. “Sometimes what society sees as inappropriate or not traditional works for two people, despite logic or reason.” He finally is able to admit his feelings to her, only to have Abby push him away. All I can is thank goodness that his mother decided to meddle in his love life. This is so totally not what I expected from this author, but I absolutely loved it!

Foolish games is a very sweet, dramatic and sometimes frustrating story about Norman and Abbi. Norman is a very famous actor who has problems because he is about to marry a woman he doesn’t know if he loves anymore! So to run away from it all he goes back home to his parents in the small town he grew up in. Here he meets Abbi who cleans his parents home every day. He is very intrigued by her and the other way around and they begin to develop feelings for each other. But he is engaged and she has a boyfriend and he is 46 and she is 20. So what will happen at the end?
I think the book is good but she really frustrated me by talking about the age thing and that he had to be in love with his fiancé and not her, and all her crying. Yeah I didn’t like Abbi very much.
Unfortunately there was to many linguistic errors that spoiled some of the book.
But I also liked the story building and the authors way of ending the story!

I enjoy reading this aurhor’s work and this book was no different. We get an older man, younger woman style story in this look. Abby is a young woman, cleaning houses to save.money for college. Norman is a weathly, engaged man that is not happy with is picture perfect life. Abby is cleaning Norman’s house when they meet and start to chat with one another. Obviously, these two characters could not be more different but they intrigue one another and begin to open up and learn from each other. This story unfolds as Abby and Norman get to know one another and realize that maybe there is more to their conversations, like HEA.

Norman was taking a hiatus from Hollywood to rethink his engagement to his supermodel girlfriend. He never expected to find Abby the woman who cleans houses to make up the difference for college tuition to be the one that will help him gain perspective of his life. She is refreshing and down to earth with no hidden agendas. Can she be what he was looking for all this time and didn’t know until he came home?

He is taking a break from being who he is and his fiancee. She is cleaning his house and they should have nothing in common especially as she trying to pay for school. He is shocked when she teaches him so much more about life. What is going to happen? Follow them

I enjoyed this, and I liked that it doesn’t follow the usual formula for the typical romance story. But for my preferences, it felt a little off balance. The story is almost all lead up with very little resolution. Even the defining conflict event is over nearly before it’s begun. I love that Abby is this feisty, spunky, independent young woman who’s out to take the world by storm. Norman seems to be a pretty sweet guy but his wishy-washy behavior and the inconsistencies in the text about his age and place in the birth order in the family made it difficult for me to get a good handle on who he was. I think Norman and Abby have the potential to be very good for one another. I didn’t like that we don’t get to see either of them end their existing relationships before deciding to be together.
