“One of the most enjoyable marriages of the fantasy and mystery genres on the shelves,”(Cinescape) the Dresden Files have become synonymous with action-packed urban fantasy and nonstop fun. Fool Moon continues the adventures of Jim Butcher’s most famous—and infamous—reluctant hero… in the Chicago phone book. But lately, Harry Dresden hasn’t been able to dredge up any kind of work: magical, mundane, or menial.
Just when it looks like he can’t afford his next meal, a murder comes along that requires his particular brand of supernatural expertise. There’s a brutally mutilated corpse, and monstrous animal markings at the scene. Not to mention that the killing took place on the night of a full moon. Harry knows exactly where this case is headed. Take three guesses—and the first two don’t count…

Love this series!
Awesome book; phenomenal series
Harry Dresden enough said .
Another great book. Fun to read, engaging, makes you wonder what is going to happen next. I read every book he writes and am never disappointed. Try them for yourself, you’ll become a fan.
This book is better than His first Storm Front. You can see where he is learning how to be a better writer. I enjoyed the story very much, and the series gets better with every book.
Love all his books
Have read ALL of the Dresden Files, and read Fool Moon at least 10 times over the years. An excellent series. Also, have all of the audios of this series. Harry Dresden is a wonderful character, and the Chicago setting makes it superb.
I love, love, love Harry Dresden. Please send us some more Jim Butcher!
I read the Jim Butcher series when they first came out. The problem is, I was spoiled, and nobody wrote anything since that has grabbed me like they did … in that particular genre! Truly, if you haven’t read them, do yourself a favor. No wonder they did a TV series on it. I wish they would continue it on TV.
Jim is a great writer
I have read every jim butcher book and can’t get enough!!!!!!! This series is the best I have ever read and I hate when the book ends. Do yourself a favor and read his books you will never be sorry. Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!
I always enjoy Jim Butcher’s books, especially his Dresden series. If there are any more Dresden books, I’ll buy, borrow, steal (well, maybe not this one) them to read!!!
Jim Butcher has created a very memorable character in Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden (who could forget that name?) and a believable world. Wish he would get back to writing more about Harry.
Great book could not put it down.
Being partial to werewolf stories, I loved this book! Dresden is in the real thick of it this time, with Marcone, Murphy, some weird Special Investigations cops, and 3 different kinds of werewolves trying to kill him. For once, I’m beginning to think that Murphy and Dresden’s friendship is over. Her character is too hard. I don’t like her much. She is not a trusting person, at all, for a cop. Especially, a cop that investigates the paranormal. Dresden has to argue with some really hard headed people in order to try and save their lives, but no one is listening. I was surprised that the ending wasn’t what I was expecting.
A great follow up to Storm Front. I read these books back-to-back, and am enjoying the hell out of being immersed in Harry Dresden’s perspective. I particularly liked all the variations of werewolves in the story, how each had their strengths and limitations, and how Butcher kept upping the stakes. The scene in the jail was just brutal. Loved it. I was biting my nails. Like Harry, I wanted to run Run RUN out of there! That’s great storytelling.
sure wish the tv show was still on. Jim Butcher’s stuff is amazing!
I love Harry Dresden!
