Fool Me Once- Shame on You.Fool Me twice- Shame on me.Eli Van Horn has been my best friend since I was in pigtails and Mary Janes. He’s the peanut butter to my jelly, the meat balls to my spaghetti, and the whipped cream on top of my hot fudge sundae. He’s also 100% gay. I’m sure of it. He has better fashion sense than me, had a poster of Justin Timberlake on his wall when we were teens, and lord, … his wall when we were teens, and lord, can that boy shop.
The only problem, he’s never actually come out to me. That’s weird, right?
Weirder still, he’s back in town and he swears he is not, never has been and never will be one to bat for the other team.
And his sights are set on me. Is this all some elaborate prank to fool me into finding love with someone else, or could my gusband actually become my husband?

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION
Each month, a new addition to the Daddy of the Month Club series will feature a different ‘daddy’ and one of the ladies that was introduced in the series prequel. A group of ladies has formed a ‘book club,’ and they meet Lisa’s house. They are over lame pick-up lines at the bars and discovering they each have a passion for reading daddy dom romance stories, they have formed a friendship—over drinks, good food, and naughty romances.
The story is another wonderful addition to this series and has several laughing out loud moments that are followed by groans. Oh my, how in the world these two have gone on as best friends for so many years and each has avoided leaving the friend zone and seeing what could be. But for Laura to truly believe Eli is gay and afraid to share with her takes this story on a journey of what ifs and could be to let’s make this happen.
“Fine, I’ll play your game. I want a man who is strong and likes to take charge in ways that help us grow individually and as a couple. I want someone who makes me feel safe and loved and knows me better than I know myself.” –Laura
The plot will include Eli coming home for his parent’s thirty-fifth-anniversary party and once again, staying with Laura, sharing her bed, and doing things together. But what happens when she wants to go to another town’s bar, and then signs them each up for speed-dating? Why are there no women in the room Eli is placed and only men coming up to chat? What a shock when he learns he has been listed as gay, but not before he is recognized—what will this do for his music career?
“We are going to have a different kind of discussion. One that includes a little less talk and a lot more action.” –Eli
Why can’t Laura see what everyone else has tried to tell her—Eli is not gay? What will this do to their twenty-year friendship? Will he want nothing more to do with her or will this be the catalyst to an honest discussion, and maybe a wake-up call of what Eli is really made of?
“You now know how I feel about you. That’ I’ve felt this way all this time, but, but we’re best friends. I don’t ever want to mess that up Eli. So, where do we go from here?
“Yes, Laura Jean Spencer, I am in love with you. Always have been, always will be. I want to be your best friend, your lover, your boyfriend, your daddy— I’ve been Daddying you for years. You just couldn’t see it, because you were stuck on the idea that I was your gay best friend. Makes no mistake—I have waited too long to not be whatever you need me to be.”
The chemistry between Laura and Eli is electric, and both needed to be smacked for not talking sooner. What will be next for them now that they’ve laid all the cards out on the table? The story does have a spanking and mild sex scene. There is a small preview into the next story, May Day Daddy due out May 17th.
Laura has always thought the her BFF, Eli was gay and just never told her. She secretly loves him, but knows she can have him. Eli has always loved and wanted Laura Jean, but has been too scared to tell her the truth, but now he’s home and determined to make her his forever. Like the ending, but wanted more Daddy Dom from Eli.
This is the second book in the Daddy of the Month Club series by Allysa Hart and Rayanna Jamision. It can be read as a stand alone, or out of order.
This is Laura and Eli’s story. They have been friends since childhood and all along Laura has been friends since childhood – they have slept in the same bed, told each other secrets. Laura has loved Eli – but thinks he swings for the home team. When he comes back to town to tell her he loves her and always has, the fun begins. She takes Eli with her for a speed dating night, and sets him up to speed date men, to show him she will support him forever. Let the fun begin. (Guess who isn’t gay and has been holding a torch for Laura.
As usual for these two talented writers, they meld the story together with ease. The characters are fun, a bit nuts at times, and believable. The story line is well rounded and will keep you and involved. Oh, yeah the sexy times are smoking! If you are in the market for a fun easy read, that will keep you involved and make you smile. I highly recommend this one and the series!
Fool Me Daddy Is laugh out loud funny. The chapter headings are hilarious. I loved the scene in the bar, I want a chocolate covered gummy bears drink. The combination of misunderstandings and shocking discoveries keeps the story interesting. If you want to laugh and smile your way through a great romance, this is the story for you.
4.5
This story is really good. Eli and Laura are really pleasant characters. I really did enjoy all of the cute lines in the book and laughed a little. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this book and series and cant wait for more.
This tasty little morsel will have you laughing, gasping, frowning and smiling throughout this book. Its a classic ‘in love with your BFF’ but with a twist as she thinks that he is gay.. The ramifications to this are hilarious especially the lengths Laura goes to out Eli and the lengths Eli goes to try and convince her otherwise. I really enjoyed it and it kept me interested the whole way through.
Loved this book!!!! Laura is so convinced the man she is in love with, her best friend, Eli is gay. Nothing and nobody can change her mind. Her book club tries. Most have never met him but get feelings he’s not. Eli decides to quit touring and come home and finally claim the woman he loves. The woman who seems to have him permanently in the friend zone. His best friend Laura. This book is perfect. Humor, steam, spanking,Justin Timberlake. Can’t go wrong with this one!

Laura think her best friend Eli is gay. Eli has been in love with Laura for years but never told her, just kept dropping hints. He has finally decided he is going to get his girl but she sets him up with speed dating for gay men. There were a lot of laughs in this book, Eli is not a daddy dom, he is a nurturing type of daddy. Something about this book seems totally adolescent in spite of the characters age.

Laura and Eli have been best friends since they were little kids. She has always been attracted to him but thought he was gay. Which is one of the many topics discussed at her book club with friends. When Eli is back in town for a family thing he is making a mission of letting Laura know that he has feelings beyond friendship for her. He is ready to claim her for himself however nothing prepared him for finding out she thinks he gay. Especially not even when she signed him up for speed dating and it was all men. When Eli comes clean she can’t believe it because of his good fashion since and him liking a JT poster she gave him when they were younger she was sure he wasn’t straight. When Eli sets his plan to catch Laura for his own will she finally believe him?
This is a hilarious story that will have you laughing out loud at parts of it. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I loved the Eli and Laura were best friends and told each other everything except for one detail. The way that Laura tried to get Eli to tell her he was gay made me laugh. I also laughed when she finally blurted it out at book club. I loved how attentive Eli was to Laura. I am so happy they got their happily ever after.

This story was crazy. I liked Eli. I liked Laura, even if she was an idiot.
The best scene in this book was the book club meeting with Eli. I laughed until I cried. Hilarious.
It would have been a five star book for me if it had an epilogue or something explaining what happened with Eli as a result of Laura’s venture into speed dating.
A good, lighthearted, funny, fast paced romance. This is the first book I have read in the Daddy of the Month Club. Hopefully, KU will have book 1 too.
WOW, this book is one hilarious read! This is a compelling “best friends to lovers” romance that is a very enjoyable and interesting read. The storyline is gripping and hooked me from page one; it is a funny, witty, and fast pace page-turner. Loveable characters – perfect for each other! The secondary characters add heaps of substance and hilarity to this story. This is a book not to miss; I can hardly wait to read the next one. A well-deserved 5 star rating!

Laura and Elias have been best friends for years. Laura has had feelings for Elias since the beginning of their friendship but has always thought he was gay. Elias is done fighting his feelings for Laura and is done with touring to come home and show her how good they could be together. While home, Laura has a plans to came Elias come out of the closet by doing a speed dating night and going to her bi-monthly book club. When Elias realizes what Laura is up to, he will do anything to show her that he’s not gay, but madly in love. But what’s a good way to convince her?!
Super great second book in the series. I can’t wait for the next one!

Oh my ladies what is in store for us readers this month! I really enjoyed reading this book, it was so entertaining and fun to read. Laura and Eli are best friends, always have been and always will be. Laura is certain that Eli is gay because he is just better then her at all the girlie stuff. But Eli has never said he was gay, ever. The funnies in this book are something else, I laughed so much reading this book. Not to worry though, all hilariousness aside this book has a hot daddy in the heart of it that has the hotness and steaminess that we are all looking for.

Here we have quite a good story with a good and fun storyline quite good characters and quite hilarious scenes in between. What I found among the best in this story is the humour it oozes out quite often really subtle and well, perhaps it needs a certain kind of humour for it. I at least liked it a lot and am giving it four beautiful stars for all of the abovementioned aspects!

I love the Daddy of the Month book club and the Dirty Dozen. The ladies are insane in the best kind of way, and the books themselves are pretty much funny af.
Laura has always been in love with her best friend Eli, and he has always been in love with her. Neither one of them knows this, but Eli is even more in the dark because Laura is positive that he’s gay. Of course, he hasn’t come out to her yet, but she’s positive that he will, I mean, they are besties, right?
I kind of felt embarrassed for Laura some of the time because she was just so convinced that she was right and that he was gay and that all her friends were wrong. I also kind of felt sorry for her because she was so sad because she loved Eli and because she was sure that he was gay, she was never going to get to be with him.
I felt sorry for Eli because he didn’t know what Laura thought so he was trying to deal with a wall there that he didn’t even know was there. Of course, if the two of them had opened their mouths and talked to each other before that, they would’ve been so much happier.
