Joe Cantrell, owner of the Gansett Island Ferry Company, has been in love with Janey McCarthy for as long as he can remember. At the same time, Janey has been dating or engaged to doctor-in-training David Lawrence. When things go horribly wrong between David and Janey, she calls her “fifth brother” Joe, one of the few people in her close circle who lives on the mainland. Janey decides a few days … days with Joe is just what she needs before she goes home to the island to face her parents and family with the news of her broken engagement. It was bad enough for Joe loving Janey from afar, but having her in his house is pure torture. Will he take advantage of this opportunity to show her what they could have together? And what will Joe’s best friend and Janey’s protective older brother Mac have to say about it?

Marie I am so in love with your characters. I would love to live on Gansett Island and be a part of this amazing family. Joe is the type of man every women wants, he has loved Janey from afar forever, even though she has a fiance. When things go pear shaped for Janey and she catches her fiance with someone else, Joe is the first person she calls …

When I finished book one of the Gansett Island series, I picked up the next two because I liked how the series modeled the supportive aspects of love, whether between partners, parents and adult children, or true friends. Fool for Love turns that on …
I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. The characters were likeable with great chemistry.
Just finished the first 3 books in the Gansett Island series. I like how they tie together. Though they can can stand alone, I always like reading these series in order. Great author. Easy to read.
This is a book for the romantic reader
Loved it!!
Good author!
I love all books by her.
Nice story, but wow, full of sex. No foul language. Worth reading.
Joe is one of the most devoted and loyal romance heroes I’ve ever read, a real sweetheart of a guy who’s not afraid to put his heart on the line. Janey is sweet, strong, and knows what she wants out of life, never wavering over the end of her engagement and trying to selflessly look out for Joe’s heart. Their love scenes are plentiful and steamy, …
I love this series!
Wonderful story! Great series! I can’t wait to read more!
Absolutely perfect
A great read. I enjoyed this story.
A story containing many emotions of love, betrayal. heartbreak and an overprotective brother which began with great sadness for Janey discovering her fiance’s betrayal. As the story unfolds she discovers her hidden feelings for Joe put her on the right path for true happiness.
Love this writer. I’m buying the second book.
Great
11/19/2020 “Fool for Love” (nook) is an angst-filled story. Joe and Janey have a long history as friends. Janey’s fiance’s unexpected betrayal opens her up to more with Joe who has loved her for years. The story highlights how we should be aware of what we have or don’t have. Real love is worth the effort. Joe and Janey have their HEA.
Janey’s family recognize that they should trust her and Joe — a tale of recognizing true love and growing maturity.
I love the Gansett Island stories (mostly around the McCarthy’s). Don’t know how I missed reviewing this one the first time, I think I have read them all now. I quickly recognized it and thoroughly enjoyed reading it again (and the snippiets of the other stories embedded in it). The story builds really well, the mix of relationships are good. …
