He can’t stand her, and best believe, the feeling is mutual. Her life is the complete opposite of what he desires. So, why can’t they keep their hands off each other?Forrest Nash is a smug know-it-all. With his brains, ridiculous good looks and penchant for disobeying the laws of both the police and the dark web, Fawn Hill’s resident genius is cockier than any man Penelope Briggs has ever … has ever encountered. It doesn’t help that their six-year age difference makes him completely ineligible in her eyes. Add in the fact that he doesn’t want marriage or babies, and that should eliminate him from the dating pool forever. But it doesn’t mean she can’t sleep with him. Once. Or twice. Or ten times. Against all logic, though, Forrest seems to be sneaking into her heart at the same time he’s sneaking into her bed.
Penelope Briggs is one bossy, obnoxious woman. With three young children, a calendar full of school drop-offs and sports, and enough emotional baggage to fill an airplane, this widow is definitely not what Forrest Nash is looking for. And yet, he can’t get enough of the maddening bombshell. But as their hook-ups become a constant, so does his involvement in Penelope’s life. The things he swore he never wanted, love and kids, seem to be the only things on his mind. And when an attack from his part of the cyber world threatens her safety, he’ll have to admit his feelings for the woman he’d do anything to protect.
What started as a convenient friends-with-benefits situation is quickly growing wings. Even if both parties are trying hard to ignore the flutter.

Flutter by Carrie Aaron’s is the third book in the Nash brother series and one of the ones I’ve been eagerly anticipating. The twins stories! This story follows Forrest and Penelope and their incredibly fiery relationship. Their chemistry is off the charts A delicious and delectable love/hate relationship that burns up the pages.
Watching Forest and Penelope’s love story unfold was breathtaking and the way Carrie wrote these characters was flawless. The walls Penelope and Forrest had to break through, the heartache, the angst, the chemistry and the hotness was incredible. The scorching hot chemistry between Forrest and Penelope was just epic and a joy to read, together with all of the angst and heartbreak that follows them.
Carrie has absolutely nailed it with this third installment in the Nash Brother’s series. I couldn’t put this book down; it was an absolute page turner! I devoured it within hours because I needed to know what was going to happen next. Bring on Fletcher, I have a feeling he is going to be the game changer in this fantastic series
This masterpiece by Carrie Aarons has romance, steaminess, humor, suspense and an all around family that you will fall in love with. They are fierce, supportive, and will blow you away with all the twists, turns, and overall love that is portrayed in this book by Carrie Aarons. Go one click this book now!!
Oh Carrie Aarons! You SLAY me and make my heart “flutter” all at the same time with the story of the Nash brothers. The writing, characters, sarcasm, steaminess, and all around theme of family is why I love her books so much. The devotion she puts into these stories shine through. Carrie Aarons has a story that is emotional and heart-wrenching, mixed in with strong willed women and men who fall to the knees with love for these women. The feelings I had after reading this book are over the top. I am officially part of the Nash family (in my head!) just by reading her magical words of descriptions and situations. This is an unbelievable, attention keeping book that will have you turning page after page, until you reach the end with a huge smile on your face. Amazing, wonderful addition to the Nash Brothers!!
Penelope and Forrest have a past that you know about if you’ve read the precious books (you don’t have to, but they’re amazing too!!). They’re friends with extra benefits. Penelope has been through a lot, with 3 kids to add to it. She’s one strong, smart mouthed, kick you in the nuts lady. Forrest is a very nerdy guy who has been misconstrued his whole life. He’s so much more than meets the eye. Together, they are a hot, sweaty, sexy force to be reckoned with. When there are threats made to those he loves, he does what he has to do. The ending is explosive, and full of love, laughter and surprises. I cannot wait for you to read this book. It’s gonna be a top read on your kindle that you can read over and over again!
Flutter is the third book in the Nash Brothers series, and this has been my favorite so far!
Forrest Nash has had a crush on Penelope since he was little, despite her being six years older than him. Penelope got married right out of high school, and started a family, only to have her husband pass away. Three years later, Forrest and Penelope start out with a “friends with benefits” type of relationship that eventually evolved into more.
I very much liked Forrest. He portrayed himself with a cocky, arrogant attitude, but used that to really mask his insecurities about not quite fitting in. Penelope was such a strong mother, doing the best she could to raise three rambunctious boys while working full-time.
I highly recommend the Nash Brothers series, and especially Flutter!
Flutter is the third book in the Nash Brothers series by the ever-talented, Carrie Aarons. You can read it as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the series. I have fallen for each brother for different reasons. Their personalities are all different from one another but they are all protective and love with their whole hearts. If you read the previous books you have read about Penelope, Forrest, and their epic banter. Oh…I was excited for this one. And it starts out with a bang.
Forrest and Penelope can’t be in the same room without pissing the other off. But as of late, they also can’t keep their hands off each other in private. She doesn’t know if she wants to slap him or rip his clothes off when he walks into the room with his Cody swagger. Especially when he wears his glasses. He is definitely geeky hot! She is a single widow of three. He doesn’t want a wife, kids, and a picket fence. She is too busy too date but he gives he exactly what she needs to relax. Orgasms! Lots and lots of orgasms so why not have a no-strings attached relationship? Nobody would expect it. He is six years her junior. Their banter is full of hate. What could go wrong?
Everything! And I loved it all. Forrest is an introvert. He doesn’t have a filter. She doesn’t either and they are both dirty birds. But for real. I love watching Forrest open up when he is around Penelope. His family underestimated him and the town as well. He isn’t just a cocky asshole who only cares for himself. He is a twenty-something with heart. He even shocks himself when it comes to Penelope and her kids. I loved that. And I love Penelope for being a strong woman who is raising her kids, working her ass off, and doing the best she can. Together, their passion is explosive. Their banter is flirty, fun, and sarcastic.
Overall…it’s my favorite of the series! There was just something about this couple that got me. It was more emotional then I thought it would be. I fell hard. That’s for sure. The writing is amazing along with the story and characters. I can’t wait for the next book. It’s taunting me on my iPad but I can’t get to it just yet.
P.S. It was nice to see the name Marion is a book. That was my Grandma’s name.
Quotes:
“In your dreams, Little Nash.” I throw out the insulting nickname and walk off without a backward glance.
“You’re right. I do dream about it, P. A lot.”
“Penelope, come on. Don’t overreact. It wasn’t personal.”
“Nothing is to you, Forrest,” she fires back.
“Oh, I’ll work you out good. You haven’t been to the gym of Forrest in weeks, and I have a lot of new moves to show you.”
“God, you’re cheesy. But show me the moves.” I tingle everywhere with anticipation.
These Nash brothers gives you all the feels!! Who would’ve thought that nerdy hot Forrest had so much alpha in him. And Penelope as much as she tried and used their age difference as an issue she couldn’t resist him. She was only 6 years older than him and made it seem like she was 20 years older than him. Her issue with the age difference frustrated Forrest majority of the time and I sympathized with him because at times it was annoying. But the chemistry between these two was scorching. Throw in her three boys into the mix and Forrest was the world sexiest stepdad. Great story, some drama and lots of hotness.
We finally have Forrest Nash and hot dang did Carrie Aarons make him so hot. Then we have Penelope, Fawn Hills known gossiper all in one hot book. These two together just spark in a way they never expected yet afraid to really fall because of age. I loved that Carrie Aarons shows us age is not the matter but the fear of really feeling so strong. We still have one more brother and cannot wait to see what she does with Fletcher. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Aarons has released her third book in the Nash brothers series, Flutter, featuring Forrest, the smartest and probably most misunderstood brother. Admittedly, when Aarons started pairing off these siblings in her previous books, I wasn’t a fan of where she was headed with Forrest’s character. Single, widowed mom, Penelope seemed like she wouldn’t fall for a wise cracking computer nerd. Hell, I thought it’d be the youngest Nash brother, Fletcher first. However, after reading Aaron’s romance Flutter, I can easily tell you that she knew exactly what she was doing when she paired Forrest and Penelope together.
These two are total opposites. Responsible, dedicated, nurturing mother Penelope is nothing like immature, too wise for his own good Forrest. Yet somehow, these two are drawn to one another in a connection that is so powerful it leapt off the pages of Aaron’s novel. I was enamored by their story. From a childhood crush bloomed a deep, passionate love that I just couldn’t get enough of reading.
I highly recommend readers to one click the Nash brothers series. While they are a touch interconnected as they are all friends and family, each can be read as a standalone. So don’t wait to read this single mom’s story.
Being a widow and a single mom has left Penelope in dire need of scratching an itch. Although Forrest is younger than her, intelligent and gorgeous his cocky attitude is always in his way. But while drunk at the wedding of his brother and her best friend the two decide to scratch the itch. What instantly turns into a friends with benefits scenario will only work until emotions get involved. Can the two work through their differences and see what everyone else around them already see? Or will benefits tire themselves out as a dying flame? I absolutely loved these characters. Not only were their emotions honest and true but the storyline was written in such a way that the reader could not help but want a HEA. I cannot wait to see where Carrie Aarons takes the last Nash brother in the mix.
Forrest is my favorite Nash brother for sure!!
So Penelope never intended to get involved with a younger man, much less the one that drives her crazy on a regular basis. She is a single mom of 3, widowed too young and full of p*** and vinegar most of the time. Forrest has been enamored with “P” since he was a boy, so he’s ready to be at her beck and call for the scattered quickies that come up thanks to some alcohol to loosen the inhibitions.
But then he suggests a mutually satisfying non-relationship which is bound to develop into something more…once they can no longer deny the flutter.
There was intrigue in this one and Penelope was frustratingly in denial about her real feelings towards a certain younger man. But there was so much to love – I really enjoyed the female bonding in this one and Forrest is one sexy geek who with patience, perseverance, a little stupidity, and a lot of chemistry…finally gets his girl which will make you swoon!
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
Loved Forrest, who’s a sexy cocky nerd, and Penelope together! The sex is hot and Forrest’s journey from self-absorbed bachelor to all-in with Penelope and her boys was everything! Unique story line and amazing characters!
Talk about a rollercoaster ride. These two made my head spin so fast a few times I didn’t know what was up and what was down.
The chemistry was very much believable and I did like the way they argued even if I wished a few times they’d dialed it down a notch. I liked Penelope and the way she carries herself. She is one strong woman and knew what she wanted. That’s way I found her so funny when she was struggling with her new found feelings toward Forrest. And let’s talk about socially awkward, has a foot in his mouth Forrest; it was so fun to read how much he was trying to convince himself that he had no deeper fillings for her. It was actually cute that he had loved her since forever but never really knew. And the way he accepted her boys?! Swoon
