An all-new STANDALONE from New York Times bestselling author Julia KentIt all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.I’m a professional fluffer. It’s NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I’ll wait.See? That’s the problem. My career has used the term … problem. My career has used the term “fluffer” for decades. I didn’t even know there was a more… lascivious definition of the term.
Until it was too late.
The ad for a “professional fluffer” on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day. The perfect job!
Staging homes means showing your best angle. The same principle applies in making a certain kind of movie. Turns out a “fluffer” doesn’t arrange decorative pillows on a couch.
They arrange other soft, round-ish objects.
The job isn’t hard. Er, I mean, it is — it’s about being hard. Or, well… helping other people to be hard.
Oh, man…
And that’s the other problem. A man. No, not one of the stars on the movie set. Will Lotham – my high school crush. The owner of the house where we’re filming. Illegally. In a vacation rental.
By the time the cops show up, what I thought was just a great house staging gig turned into a nightmare involving pictures of me with an undressed star, Will rescuing me from an arrest, and a humiliating lesson in my own naivete.
My job turned out to be so much harder than I expected. But you know what’s easier than I ever imagined?
Having all my dreams come true.

Erin Mallon does a stellar job with the narration. I was already comfortable with her from listening to the first book. It’s lovely to pick up the same characters in a second book.
Oh my goodness I don’t think I have ever laughed out loud so many times when listening to a book. I was glad I was mostly on my own when I was listening as when I wasn’t I got some very odd looks, lol. I loved this book, so much I can’t quite tell you. The story is great and the characters are brilliantly written. So much goodness in there. If you’re looking for something light, lovely, dare I say it fluffy and funny then this is for you.
Audiobook version:
This book was hilarious from the 1st page! I suggest starting with the Prequel called “Little Miss Perfect”. You can absolutely enjoy this story without it but it really does add some hilarious backstory that I highly recommend. Fluffy is full of humor and quick wit. I fell in love with the characters with ease. This was a fabulous story that I can’t wait to read more on!
The narration was fabulous! Erin Mallon is an amazing asset to any audiobook! Instant buy every time!

This was a sweet read. I loved the premise of the book. It was fresh and fun to read. I now Julia Kent has another one coming out soon and I can ‘t wait.
Fluffy By Julia Kent is a Romantic Comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Erin Mallon. If you have the chance I would recommend reading/listening to Little Miss Perfect first which is the prequel to Fluffy. It is not needed but I did find it helpful having Will and Mallory history. I really enjoyed this book. I don’t read a lot of Romantic Comedies and I am going to have to fix that after Little Miss Perfect and Fluffy. Julia does an amazing job making the characters very relatable. Erin did an amazing job narrating and using different voices for Will and Mallory. I can’t wait to read/listen to future projects by both of these amazing women.

Fluffy
By: Julia Kent
Narrated by: Erin Mallon
When you hear laugh out loud funny, you sometimes think it’s an exaggeration. Well, in this case, believe it! This book will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you love like you are the main character in the story. Mallory is the kind of character I can relate to. Smart, but not afraid to let people know it, she is unashamedly confident in her ability. When the crush of her high school life makes an unexpected reappearance at the most inopportune time, the sparks fly! And not necessarily the kind you are thinking! But we quickly learn a little of their history, and as the story goes on, the fires begin to burn hot. I loved the chemistry between Will and Mallory. Once they finally get past their high school social stigmas, it’s clear sailing. It’s a fun listen, with passionate characters and just a sweet, fun filled time.
Erin Mallon is one of my favorites and I am so glad that she narrated this. Her comedic timing is spot on and can make me laugh so easily! Her voices are always set for each character, giving us the perfect feel for their personality. I loved it!

This book was so funny. The characters were great and it was a cute sort.
Audiobook Review:
Oh Gosh! I absolutely love the tagline for Fluffy, too cute. I love the vivid colors and font of the cover along with the adorable title. I knew reading the synopsis of this romantic comedy I would revel in listening to this audiobook. Comical banter between the characters will create a laughing festival. A witty frolic, kick up one’s heels entertaining listen.
Narator Erin Mallon was the perfect choice to narrate this rom com. Her tone, & pace flows through smoothly. Her voices are distinct between characters. She has the ability to pull off a male baritone voice. She articulates the right emotions in her voice and humor.

I read this book immediately after reading Little Miss Perfect. I think I made a slight mistake. I was so ready to dive into Mallory & Will’s story that the first 25% of this book were tough to read. It was too much back story that I didn’t need at that point. Had I not read the prequel right before (and I mean minutes) I think I would have enjoyed the first 5 or 6 chapters more.
All that aside, I love Julia’s whit & ability to spin every scene into a perfect picture. She paints with words like a master painter, molds her characters like a master sculptor, and creates stories like a master carpet weaver! I love her work and this story really was no different for me!
Can’t wait to know what will happen between Perky and Parker!
This story is about Mallory and Will. High School classmates 10 years ago. He was her crush and maybe still is. They story behind them reconnecting is laugh out load funny. Her mother and best friend are off the charts funny.
This book was a riot. Loved the snarky dialogue between the major characters and the comments to self. Turned out to be a sweet story but with lots and lots of “laugh out loud” moments. Love funny books. This author has a delightful sense of humor!
Warning!
Not to be read while using public transport! Your fellow passengers WILL think you are crazy! I found the dialogue and bantering hilarious, if somewhat long winded. Lots of LOL’s.
A fun, relaxing and entertaining read.
The main character Mallory, answers an ad for what she thinks is a job as a house-fluffer (rearranging furniture, adding accents, etc to make a house easier to sell) but she ends up on a porn set. The first several chapters are laugh-so-hard-you-cry, funny. Once that’s been straightened out…it’s brainy, witty, flirty, and still so funny at times, I was shaking with laughter. The author’s use of words were exquisite, particularly when talking about her high school self and her relationship with Will. Looking forward to reading other books in this series!
Fluffy, is my first book by this author. Honestly, she didn’t impress me too much.
I thought the main character, Mallory/Mal was a bit too naive and spineless. Always being pushed by her friend in doing things she doesn’t want to do. I just couldn’t connect with the character.
It felt like the author forced the funny parts in the story. And the author took it too far sometimes. But that’s just me, I’m not a fan of that sort of humor.

Read this book!
“Fluffy” is one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read this year, no maybe ever! It was an experience, not just a good book.
I was laughing hysterically at times, then tears would come from the heartfelt truth that Will and Mallory share. (Btw, Will is now my new book boyfriend… so step away!)
A must read.
lLove the characters. Funny situations . Fast paced.
What I love about Julia Kent stories is that you are guaranteed escapism!
The characters are warm and friendly. The laughs are loud and constant. The HEA is heartwarming.
I listened to this Audiobook and it was simply wonderful! Erin Mallon was fantastic!!
There is just so much romcom goodness in this book! Will & Mallory are great characters and totally perfect for each other!! Julia Kent is definitely at the top of her game.
I laughed out loud throughout this adorable story and honestly loved everything about it.
Oh my god, this book is way too much fun and I love it so damn much.
There’s nothing more fun that reading a story that has an embarrassing meet/reunion. It’s too funny, absolutely hilarious this situation Mal gets herself in. This woman is pure comedy gold, I love her so much!
I love me some “the one that got away” romances and Fluffy is definitely one of those. A school crush, a school reunion and a misinterpreted job offer mixed together makes this book that absolute perfect book if you’re looking for a laugh with a little bit of sadness in.
Julia Kent is pure genius when it comes to romcoms especially with this beauty. I absolutely adored this story and the characters. Julia managed to bring Mel and Will to life throughout this book and they’re characters that will stick with me forever. I’m already itching to read Perky’s story.
One of my favorite Rom-Coms this year
This was just what I needed to get over my
book-hangover. It was sweet and soooo
funny. A definite must-read
I couldn’t put the book down, it was just so
enjoyable.I loved the chemistry between Mallory and Will.
Mallory stages homes for a living, which in her industry is called a fluffer. She is out of a job and looking in the classified ads. The hilarious, witty, and cute banter starts when she takes a job as a fluffer not understanding that it has a different meaning in the porn industry. She is reunited with her high school crush Will. I laughed so much while reading this story. A great one not to be missed.
