NASA discovered the alien ship lurking in the asteroid belt in the 1960s. They kept the Target under intense surveillance for decades, letting the public believe they were exploring the solar system, while they worked feverishly to refine the technology needed to reach it.The ship itself remained silent, drifting.Dr. Jane Holloway is content documenting nearly-extinct languages and had never … and had never contemplated becoming an astronaut. But when NASA recruits her to join a team of military scientists for an expedition to the Target, it’s an adventure she can’t refuse.
The ship isn’t vacant, as they presumed.
A disembodied voice rumbles inside Jane’s head, “You are home.”
Jane fights the growing doubts of her colleagues as she attempts to decipher what the alien wants from her. As the derelict ship devolves into chaos and the crew gets cut off from their escape route, Jane must decide if she can trust the alien’s help to survive.

Great tension
Really like this series. It was a great read. Hope for more in the series. If you like sci-fi get this one
A great, first contact story! A unique story of how multiple species can benefit each other, to get what they want.
Easy to read. Takes some time getting into it. So far no seamy sex. Which I get real tired of
Good read.
Loved it. Love innovative science fiction stories. And woman power. Get it girl!
Good story for those that like a strong female lead character supported by a bunch of dumb stumblebum guys. Good story and scifi that is plausible in most respects.
This was a great, quick read. Full of action, suspense, and thought-provoking futuristic situations. I really enjoyed
Nice sci-fi, interesting concept. enjoyable read.
Great read!
If you Ignore the cuss words it reminds me of the Masters Of Science fiction.
well written. I highly recommend it as it’s a new angle I have not seen before in sci-fi/fantasy space fiction.
good read
A good read!
Interesting concept but then it broke down into a love story that didn’t interest me. Didn’t finish it.
Waiting for the next in series.
A good and different science fiction read.
Fast read, very entertaining and the technical detail was interesting. Will continue with the series.
An average sci fi book. The crew of the mission was a bit stereotypical—especially the commander. The crew was counseled before they left Earth to have no sexual contact with each other or themselves. The reality is that on long missions, sex between crew members will be essential to the health of the crew. Not a great story but has potential.
I want more! Was sad to see this one end. On to the next..
