There is nothing better than finding a groove and letting the words fly. This is the science behind the phenomenon.
With hindsight, reading this book made me discover a true source of happiness in the pursuit of focus. The book coming from a main researcher in the field makes the information in the book all the more credible.
Where I found the book lacking was in offering specific practical tips for how to put the knowledge into practice. For this though, the …
This is one of the most unique and insightful self-help books I think I’ve ever read… and it’s not at all what I assumed it would be based upon the title.
I thought it would just essentially expand upon the truism that optimal experience is to be found in getting so immersed in an activity that one loses track of time, and that one should seek …
I read this book years ago after its first release, and have read it a few times since. There is so much insight here about how we work, and how we can develop more optional levels of performance. I recommend this to all of my clients.
This book appears in many lists of the best books about motivation and positive psychology and rightfully so. A few of the references in the book will seem dated (it was written before the Internet) so it would be interesting adding a couple of new chapters on how the whole flow theory is affected by all the electronic distractions we deal with …
Sapient, applicable, succinct.
This is the classic book on flow. Many other authors have followed up on the theme, such as Cal Newport’s, “Deep Work”. Csikszentmihalyi was the first to explore the phenomenon. Flow is the key to productivity and creativity. I highly recommend this book.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi helps you to understand why flow in all areas of life is such a good thing not only because it can increase your happiness but also because it improves your confidence, self-worth and helps you to grow. For anyone wanting to explore this topic this is …
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi originally wrote “Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience” in 1990. It’s an interesting read, both fascinating and frustrating at the same time. But the main idea, the idea of flow experience, is a powerful one and should be considered during any product design project. If you want to read a quick primer of “flow,” you …
If you want to live a more peaceful life this book is a must read
The state of “flow” spoken of in this book is the real deal. Speaking from personal experience, there really is nothing like being at your most optimal and content level. It’s something worth striving to and the author breaks down all things that are a part of this “flow state” very well. Stop beating your head against the wall! By learning how …
Flow, we get closer to feeling part of the whole, consciously opening a direct channel of information and awareness, seeing things more clearly and intuiting new ones, manifesting “information” in spacetime through creation.
Inspiring book!
