Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor’s most delectable bachelor. He’s made millions as a top-selling real estate broker. His rugged good looks and over-the-top personality helped him build a virtual black book most men would kill for. Having been burned once however, he’s sworn off anything resembling an emotional connection with any woman. But an undercurrent of dissatisfaction runs through his life. His … frustration grows as he seeks something even he can’t quite put his finger on.
Thanks to a life of discipline and focused routine, Sara Thornton has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor real estate market. As her career skyrockets, the fulfillment she seeks remains out of reach. One thing she knows for sure: she will never join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting it might be.
A chance encounter, then a difficult transaction, throw Jack and Sara into temptingly close contact. After their first, smoking hot hook-up, he decides she could be the elusive happiness he’s seeking. Right about the time she decides to avoid him like the plague. But fate keeps forcing them together, so Jack decides to make The Big Gesture.

Relationships aren’t always sunshine and rainbows; however, Sara and Jack have their work cut out for them. The plot was simple and kinda plain. Two type A personalities try to get together. Will they work? There’s lots of back and forth that got old. You’re both adults – get it together! I like Sara and Jack together especially if they got out of their own way. There was one scene that I felt didn’t add anything to the story and could have been left out or written differently. I loved Jack’s over the top presentation at the end. Will they get their HEA? We’ll have to see in book 2.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Sara Thornton is a fiercely independent young woman who has become a successful realtor, and she did it on her own. She is for the most part content in her life, but a small part of her wishes for love, and a good man with whom she can share her life. Jack Gordon has made millions in real estate, he’s an eligible bachelor, and most men would gladly trade places with him. Jack has come to realize that there is somethin missing in his life, but he was in love before and he gave her his heart only to have it tossed aside. Sara and Jack quickly realize that they have fallen in love, but their type-A personalities and their pasts will make it difficult to have a life together.
Compelling, and I think realistic characters who find love and struggle with issues linked to their earlier experiences. Engrossing, and steamy romance with surprising twists to keep you reading. Great book, I look forward to reading more books in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Floor Time is the steamy, sophisticated story of the conflicted, complicated relationship of highly successful realtors, Jack Gordon and Sara Thornton. The truth is, much to Sara’s horror and chagrin, the A-personalities on the fast-track dispute the theory that opposites attract. Because they are two peas in a pod who may approach life from different angles, but share the same goals. The two have such flawed, self-centered personalities, it is almost impossible to like anything about them. But it is those very flaws that make them so painfully human that one minute this reader wanted to throttle them and the next hug them. I was compelled to keep reading to see if they would ever realize their similarities and conclude they were better together than apart.
The plot is crackled with sexual tension that is released unbridled with no holds barred. The story moved at a good pace with sharp and snappy dialog that carried a plot leading to a predictable outcome, that still left the reader wanting to read the next book and find out if these two shallow characters grow up and save one another from a banal life of always wondering “what if.”
I highly recommend Floor Time to any reader who likes their plots steamy and their characters complicated and flawed.
This is my first Liz Crowe book. It’s a fun read and I was pleasantly surprised by the light BDSM sprinkled throughout. There are some references to his best friend and his Dom/sub relationship, so I’m curious about if there is another book about Evan’s story. But I digress, we’re talking about Jack and Sara here. Focus, Christina!
The steamy was hot, the banter fun, and the characters interesting. My only complaint is that Jack needs to do a lot better. He has to ask for forgiveness A LOT and he’s so salesman-y that I came away not trusting him much, and so it made me question the HEA. I sincerely hope their HEA sticks, because I think they both need it, but I was as wary as some of the side characters about it. So, we’ll see if Jack gets better at the whole not-being-a-total-manwhore thing in book two.
