When first impressions happen twice.
Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Atlas’s story …
Single Dad of Seattle, Atlas Stark is in over his head. A widower, he’s been left to raise his … head. A widower, he’s been left to raise his daughter, and his infant cousin alone, while also trying to make partner at his law firm. If things at work weren’t stressful enough, his home life is getting hairy too. His daughter’s acting out, eager for her father’s attention, and she’s taking it out on the baby. Already stretched too thin, he’s one frayed strand away from snapping. Desperate for help, he takes her to see a therapist. What he doesn’t count on is her being a tall, blonde knock-out with sapphire eyes and penchant for motorcycles. Too bad she annoys the crap out of him.
Tessa Copeland’s life has never been easy. With a chronically ill mother, she was forced to grow up quicker than most. A successful art therapist, she’s determined not to let her baggage set her back. Until her fiancé cheats on her and takes her dog. She’s never brought her personal life to work, but she can’t stop thinking about the father of one of her clients, or the fact that he’s an assuming jerk with a smolder that gets her engine running. But things grow blurry when she finds herself seeking legal counsel from the broody Atlas, and even though the two continue to butt heads, their chemistry is undeniable.
Will flirting with the single dad lead Tessa down a dangerous road riddled with potholes and blind turns? Or will it be exactly what they both needed to finally feel whole again?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

Atlas & Tessa
Atlas is one of the last Dads (of Seattle) to remain single. A widower, he’s got his hands full with a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, a newborn niece, and working to be a partner in his law firm. Sleep is a thing of the past, his little girl is acting out and he needs help.
Enter Tessa: She helped one of the other dads deal with his son through art therapy and even though Atlas doesn’t believe in it he’s ready to try anything, His buddy could have told him Tessa was a super hot blond. A sassy, super hot blond, with mad skills helping his daughter.
Their relationship has another factor you’ll need to read to find out. This is a fun read with great characters you have to love and feel their pain, You’ll cheer them on to find the happiness they both deserve.
Although it is well into the series, it is a completed single read.

Wow simply wow another delightful story filled with excitement an drama.
Atlas was in way over his head especially after his wife died trying to pick up the pieces he had a little girl Aria to raise but then his mother called him and now he had two children Cecily had been his cousin’s but now she was his and Aria wasn’t handling all the changes very well.
Tess couldn’t believe he’d treat her like this and he took her dog.
The trials and tribulations that these two waltz around each other.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was Atlas and Tessa’s story and I enjoyed it. Both of these characters were hurt and their hearts were closed off. They tried to stop the attraction but they could not stay away. Another great read. Loved Atlas.
Atlas and Tessa were absolutely amazing in Flirting with the Single Dad… This book was by far one of the best emotional reads I’ve read in a long time!! From beginning to end I was so engrossed I didn’t want it to end, but oh the ending was perfection!! I am sooo looking forward to Liam and Richelle’s story next and would recommend this whole series from start to finish!!
My first taste of the Single Dads of Seattle was book 7, that book had me hooked and eager to read all the other stories, quickly flying through books 1 to 7, (yes I had to read it again).
This book brings us the story of Atlas, out of all the characters, i knew he was the one that was going to be the hardest nut to crack, widowed with a young baby (Aria), and then following the hospitalisation of a close family member Atlas selflessly takes on her infant (Cecily). His hands are full, he is overwhelmed and exhausted, he carries deep deep scars that were evident and referenced in the other Single Dads stories, where he is always grumpy, moody and snappy.
This book breaks down his character beautifully, as he finally learns to process his grief and allow himself to open himself up to possibility of love again.
Atlas and Tessa become acquainted under different circumstances twice, not realising they were both the same person which I loved this nice twist to the story, how talking to a “stranger” allowed Atlas the somewhat anoninimity and freedom to step outside of his bubble of grief. Whilst secretly hate lusting on Aria’s trauma therapist, when that hate and lust finally boils over you get the explosive side to both Atlas and Tessa…..which is scorchio.
Whitley, you never fail to bring me joy with each and every single Dad, loved this story.
Love how Grumpy Atlas found his perfect match and showed us he really is a giant teddy bear underneath it all! This series has taken us on a journey and I have loved every minute of it! Must read for sure!
I can’t get enough of this fun, caring, loving and supportive group of dads! I want to be friends with The Single Dads of Seattle. They totally have one another’s backs and focus on their kids. Flirting with the Single Dad focuses on Atlas and Tessa.
Another must for your library by Whitley Cox.
*I was given a copy and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
I am absolutely in love with Atlas! Who wouldn’t love a man that is raising a three year old then takes on his cousin’s baby! So sexy!! His daughter is having issues with the baby so he takes her to meet a therapist named Tessa who does things differently! Atlas and Tessa don’t mix at first but soon sparks are flying!! Oh and they actually met a different way and didn’t even know it but you have to read the book to find out! A great book to read by a must read author Whitley Cox!
Flirting with the Single Dad Book 9 of the Single Dads of Seattle series was an emotionally captivating story! Atlas is a widower raising a daughter and a niece alone. His daughter is having a hard time adjusting and he takes her to an art therapist. When he meets Tessa(the therapist) he’s not sure about her and her work. They continually butt heads, meanwhile they unknowingly start a texting relationship when Tessa text the wrong number of her ex’s new girlfriend trying to get her dog back. It leads to some very interesting conversations! What will happen when their true identities become known? It was a very entertaining journey they go on to reach their hea. I loved every moment of it! I can’t wait for the next book in the Single Dads of Seattle series!
Poor Tessa. Not only was she dumped after 5 years of being with an idiot, she found out he was cheating on her and he stole her dog!!! But her reaching out to the “other woman” and getting a wrong number is priceless. How many times has an error like that turned out to be the best thing to ever happen? Atlas is grumpy, tired and at his wit’s end with tantrums, pressures from work, and loneliness. Her text came at exactly the right time to provide a distraction and a way out. Now if only he doesn’t mess up the chance to move on and find happiness….
Atlas and Tessa both have led a life of struggles and heartache. Coming together to work on mending Atlas’s little girl, Aria, they some how come to mend themselves as well. With a lot of tears, laughs and visits from some past friends this is an HEA in the making!
Flirting With The Single Dad would have to be the most emotional and captivating of the series so far. This is a story that will have your stomach in knots, your heart aching and the tears flowing. This touching and poignant story of two people who are drowning in their own sadness are brought together and fate is not going to take a chance with only one connection, fate is going to give its all with Tessa and Atlas to prove that everyone deserves a second chance when it comes to love. One of them is hiding in the dark and the other is all about the facts, can these two find the light, the confidence and the happiness that is within their reach if they surrender to their hearts. Their story was witty, heartfelt, tender and passionate. This addition to this series not only had the tears rolling down my face but filled my heart and soul with nothing but happiness.
If you are looking for an emotional yet entertaining read look no further than Flirting with the Single Dad book 9 in The Single Dads of Seattle. Each of these books can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone’s although I’m sure one you have met one of these poker playing single dads you will be itching for more, you will want to meet and understand everyone of these mysterious dads.
Atlas is the grumpy dad in this bunch and it’s going to take a very special lady to have him lifting the cloud he lives under, he has a lot on his plate because over the past few years he became a dad to a beautiful little girl, he lost his wife and he took in his cousins newborn baby girl and to make matters worse his normally well behaved little girl has turned into a monster when it comes to the new baby in the home.
Tessa has just found out her live in lover of years has left her for another woman taking with him not only her dignity but also the dog she adopted and adores. Since she can’t reach him she decides to sent a text to the new girlfriend telling him exactly what she thinks only problem is the number she has does not belong to the girlfriend.
One text leads to a friendship between two strangers, they find comfort in each other but little do they know they are destined to meet when Atlas decides his daughter needs some professional help…………
This is a book that ticked all my boxes, I laughed at the classic one liners only a child can deliver, I smiled, I swooned and I shed a tear as Atlas and Tessa got to know each other. Whitley Cox has an amazing way with words, she draws you in and has you feeling like you are catching up with friends with each book in this series. I highly recommend this series to all lovers of romance and all romantic comedy lovers. Looking forward to the next in this amazing series.
I just loved this book! Tess is a child therapist, and in this day and age of having more and more kids seeing therapy – this was both a current and ongoing issue for many families. The thought and care taken to address the kids (and fathers) backstory was genuine. Loved atlas and Tess and loved even more when the single dads from the previous books chimed in to help!
Flirting with the Single Dad [The Single Dads of Seattle Book 9] is FAB-U-LOUS! I loved reading Atlas & Tessa’s story. Atlas has been rather quiet in the series as one of the two dads who are a widow who lost the love of their lives and with Atlas his wife was his one and only true love as they were high school sweethearts. So watching this story unfold with his daughter Aria & the baby he adopted from his cousin baby CeCe he has his hands full along as single dad while being a successful Attorney. When his daughter Aria who is 3 and half starts acting out against baby CeCe his fellow single dads recommend a child therapist and fate opens the door with Tessa. Tessa comes with her own baggage, stupid spiteful ex-fiancé who stole her dog & her precious mom. This touched me because I have walked exactly where Tessa walked with her mom. I loved this story from page 1 and could not put it down, the attraction and instant fireworks & chemistry between Atlas and Tessa jumps off the pages! I loved everything about this story & even knowing the HEA I would read it again. Whitley Cox is a wonderful writer and she has a winner with her Single Dad’s of Seattle Series!
4*
Atlas is the only widower out of the single dad’s group, losing the love of his life he’s trying really hard to raise Aria along with his niece Cecily. Aria isn’t handling sharing her father and is expressing her anger out on Cecily. Hoping art therapy can help her he enrols her with Tessa.
Tessa can’t believe what her fiancee’s has done therefore the text she sent contained her anger but a miss read number is sent to the wrong recipient who happened to be Atlas.
I loved the banter between the two the chemistry and the way they love with their whole hearts.
A truly fantastic series and I can’t wait for the next book about Liam and Richelle “Falling with the single dad”
Tessa and Atlas both have tragic past and present but also, so much love to share. She is a child psychologist who helps troubled children, she is recommended to Atlas for his girl Aria who is acting up quite a bit. He is a widower with two daughters, and she was dumped by her cheating fiance who left with her dog. The story gives a glimpse of what a mental illness and alzheimer’s disease can do to their loved ones and the lost of a spouse. A beautiful heart warming story, with our regular cast of characters and their better halves. Funny, sexy and sometimes heartbreaking story to savour from the first to the last page. The next and last single dad is Liam and I am sure Whitley will make his fall epic! I honestly volunteered to review this great story and series!
I waited 9 books, 9 dads to get the HEA that I couldn’t wait to read. I wanted it to be me, I wanted to be the one to fix Atlas. Take some weight from his shoulders, make him say more then 1 liners and grunts but oh those grunts! I wanted to hate Tessa, I wanted to throat punch her but she is perfect for Atlas. Perfect in every way. I freaking love this series, and this book didn’t disappoint. With cheating a boyfriend Tessa confronts her competition so she thinks. Then ensues the calamity of two very complicated lives. The spouses, babies, and dogs, an ill parent, motorcycles and skirts not to mention sex (omg the sex!). There is never a dull moment with these two!
Oh, how I love what Whitley Cox has done with this series and I have waited for this book about grumpy single dad, Atlas. He was the most mysterious of all the Seattle single dads and this book peels away at the layers of Atlas’s emotional barriers until we really see the true man and his true heart.
Atlas may be grumpy, but really he is just trying to get through each and every day. In the past few years, he has had a daughter, his wife died from the flu, he is taking care of his cousins newborn girl, he has turned into a germaphobic, he is up for name partner in his law firm and he can’t seem to find a full time nanny to help him. If all that was going on in my life, I would be grumpy too. It’s been a long time since Atlas has smiled or felt anything but sorrow. That all changed one night when a weird text message shows up on his phone.
Tessa had a horrible day! She finds out the man she has wasted 5 years of her life with has a girlfriend on the side and he actually stole her dog and moved out of her apartment. Since he has ghosted her, she decided to text the girlfriend and give her a piece of her mind. However, Tessa’s dyslexia led her to mix up the phone number and send the text to a stranger instead.
One mistaken text led to these two individual’s starting a phone conversation and friendship. They find comfort in each other when they both just needed someone to help them each get through the day. They never gave their true name, so it became an anonymous friendship. The funny thing is that these two really knew each other outside of this phone friendship because Tessa is the therapist helping Atlas’s daughter deal with some emotional baggage. It’s a great twist when they figure out that they are the two people from the text mishap. The story really blossoms as their relationship grows and they work together to get Tessa’s dog back.
Whitley Cox is a great writer and she has come up with these amazing characters in this series that I wish were my real life friends. She adds so many realistic life situations to the story and she can really make these dads sexy! Read this series, but don’t start with this book. Go and order the ENTIRE series and start with book one. You will be so glad you did. I hope you enjoy them all as much as I have. Bring on Liam’s book!!!!!!

Dads of Seattle
I won’t add lots of spoilers as it’s too good to spoil
Atlas & Tessa were great characters
Atlas has always been the strong silent grumpy guy of the group, loosing his wife was just too much for him, only his daughter Aria kept him going but her loss was too much for her little self to figure out and that’s where Tessa came in as her therapist.
Unbeknown to Atlas & Aria a misdialled text got them talking ( no spoilers )
Tessa’s ex has stolen her dog after cheating on her but she’s professional when meeting Aria however she clashes with Atlas.
Illness loss heartache betrayal are issues throughout
however the HEA finally arrived.
My only wish was that Tessa got to rub in her test results and her future in her exes face as he was so cruel to her.
I love this series the characters and friendships give you lots of warm fuzzy feelings
