When first impressions happen twice.
Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Atlas’s story …
Single Dad of Seattle, Atlas Stark is in over his head. A widower, he’s been left to raise his … head. A widower, he’s been left to raise his daughter, and his infant cousin alone, while also trying to make partner at his law firm. If things at work weren’t stressful enough, his home life is getting hairy too. His daughter’s acting out, eager for her father’s attention, and she’s taking it out on the baby. Already stretched too thin, he’s one frayed strand away from snapping. Desperate for help, he takes her to see a therapist. What he doesn’t count on is her being a tall, blonde knock-out with sapphire eyes and penchant for motorcycles. Too bad she annoys the crap out of him.
Tessa Copeland’s life has never been easy. With a chronically ill mother, she was forced to grow up quicker than most. A successful art therapist, she’s determined not to let her baggage set her back. Until her fiancé cheats on her and takes her dog. She’s never brought her personal life to work, but she can’t stop thinking about the father of one of her clients, or the fact that he’s an assuming jerk with a smolder that gets her engine running. But things grow blurry when she finds herself seeking legal counsel from the broody Atlas, and even though the two continue to butt heads, their chemistry is undeniable.
Will flirting with the single dad lead Tessa down a dangerous road riddled with potholes and blind turns? Or will it be exactly what they both needed to finally feel whole again?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

In this book we get Atlas Stark’s story and are introduced to Tessa Copeland. Atlas has gone through a lot in the last 5 years. He lost his wife, he is having problems with his daughter and he adopted a relatives little girl. All this plus trying to make partner in the law firm he works at is a lot for a single guy to take in. So when one of the dad’s recommends a art therapist who might help his daughter deal with all the changes that are happening in her short little life he is willing to give anything a try. One night though he gets a strange text from an unknown number. This person is ranting about the guys she just broke up with. He isn’t sure what to make of all this but this person is the first one to not only make him smile be laugh in way to long. Tessa can’t believe her now ex-fiance cheated on her not only that he took the one person in their relationship she truly loved. When she goes to text the woman he left her for her dyslexia messes things up and she text a complete stranger. In his own way he helps her thought the don’t know a thing about one another. See she has a lot on her plate too. Being a therapist, losing her father, and her mother having early onset Alzheimer’s, her fiance of 3 years cheated and left her for another woman. She isn’t sure she can take much more then she meets Atlas. Things get even weirder when they realize she is the art therapist that was recommended for his daughter. Will this be something that can bring them closer together or will the things their both not saying drive a wedge between them that they can never come back from?
This is another amazing story in this series. It touches on a lot of difficult situations but the way the author shows it is so great. It does have some amazing ups and downs, I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other reader. I will say this book will take you on an emotional journey you didn’t expect. But will have you feeling like you have made it with a true friend by the time it is over. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This book was emotionally charged. It had all the good feels. It was a marvelous addition to the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Atlas is part of the Single Dad’s of Seattle and I am so glad he finally got his HEA. I loved the way the author brought Atlas and Tessa together and their texting was one of my favorite parts of this story. This book had it all drama, angst, steam and a beautiful love story that had me cheering Atlas and Tessa on to their HEA.
I’m so sad this is the ninth book of the series and it means there is only one left then it’s over. This book made my heart hurt. Atlas another of the Single dads of Seattle is known as the grumpy one. He’s just trying to get through life after becoming a widower, raising his daughter and his newborn cousin. Events happen that cause him to need a therapist for his daughter. Tessa is an amazing therapist. Tessa has her own baggage she’s dealing with. But there’s a spark between her and Atlas. Can they move on from the past hurts. You betcha! Fantastic happily ever after!

After finding out that her fiance has been cheating on her for the past year, moved out without bothering to tell her, and has taken her dog, Forest, Tessa sends a scorching text message to his new squeeze. But she sends it to the wrong number. She and Atlas, known to each other as Marie and David, are texting back and forth, developing a little relationship of sorts without actually meeting. But, of course, they have actually met; they just haven’t connected the dots yet. Atlas is an attorney, widower, single dad with a toddler daughter, Aria, and custody of his infant niece, Cecily. Aria needs more attention from her father than he can give right now, and begins acting up. He takes her to Tessa, a children’s art therapist.
This book is well written, and so wonderful to read – not just a nice romance, but a believable story. The characters are real and flawed, people you’d want to be friends with. Atlas is not really the uptight stuffy guy he appears to be, but rather a kind and caring man, truly concerned about his children, as he works past his wife’s death toward a life with Tessa. She’s not as flighty as he makes her out to be; she’s a daughter concerned with her mother’s illness, worried for her own future health, and trying to get her dog back. They’re so hot together, and have a great journey together. One of my favorite things about this series has been the friendship between these men, and the women they love. On to Liam!

Like this a lot 5 stars – Carlyle is a douche! Not just because he cheated on Tessa or because he took away her dog from her. It’s because of the reason he broke up with her!!! This book in the series has a great story about dog custody, loss, grief, mental illness, sibling jealousy – all couched in a mature relationship without prefabricated angst. The conflict comes from the realities of the characters’ lives. I especially like the way Atlas and Tessa “met”. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
This is the story of Tessa and Atlas. One day Atlas gets a text from a woman ranting about her cheating fiancé. When he responds letting her know she texted the wrong person, they start a texting friendship. Atlas needs help with how to handle his 3 year old daughter who is acting out against baby CeCe and goes to art therapist Tessa. Guess who’s been texting Atlas? I loved this twist in the story and found this one so entertaining. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 Stars
Another great addition to the series. For me Atlas is one of the more intriguing characters because he is ma of few words. Tessa, ma talk about breaking my heart. Her back story ad what she is going through right ow ripped my heart out. Though Tessa ad Atlas rub each other the wrong way she does wonders for his daughter. That little girl is full of sass. She reminds me of a little adult at times. It’s beautiful watching Tessa and Atlas fall, but the most favorite part for me is Tessa gaining a huge support system of friends. The ladies take her under their wings so heartwarming. Atlas is such a great dad, but he just needs a little help. The epilogue is the icing on the cake for me.The journey both characters took their reward is the epilogue! This book gave me the heart ad feels, but also delivered on the humor and heat. I would highly recommend this one!
This is the 9th book in this standalone series. It is a single dad romance. Atlas and whitley are great characters that have lots of chemistry and very enjoyable to read.

Atlas is not whole as he lost his wife and now is a single father taking care of his daughter. But he’s also now the guardian of his little baby cousin. How is he going to get his career soaring up the ladder at his law office when he is having a hard time handing 2 kids? He takes his daughter to a therapist and meets Tessa, who by the way he doesn’t care for. Things change but can they realize they should let down their walls and maybe find peace and a whole lot more?

What a heartfelt romance read. Atlas and Tessa were wonderful characters with great chemistry that sizzles from their first meeting. Their journey was easy to read with a well written storyline. I loved that friendship around them as they navigate through their emotions of being together. Another enjoyable addition to a series that doesn’t disappoint.
Tessa finds out that the man that she’s been with for five years has been cheating on her with another woman and he has taken her dog when he left. When she got upset she mixed up the number and her rant went to a stranger. Atlas was stunned when he received a text meant for someone else but once he got the person to understand their mix up they started talking. Tessa started to feel better texting her wrong number man about her troubles. She started seeing a new little girl for therapy and her father was worn from stress. Atlas was trying to be everything for his daughter and his niece but he felt like he was failing. Sparks flew between Atlas and Tessa every time they were together. After Tessa sends her mystery texter pic of her tattoo everything changes. Atlas knows as soon as he sees the tattoo that its Tessa he’s been talking to. Will he finally make a move and take something he wants for a change? Can Tessa see that Atlas is the man for her?
This is an amazing book once I started it I couldn’t put it down. This is have you laughing out loud at parts. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

There are 10 single dad’s that play poker every Friday night, all living in Seattle, all with children, all looking for love again. This is the story of Atlas and Tessa. Atlas isn’t grumpy he’s just tired. He’s raising a daughter, his wife dies from flu, and he’s taking care of his cousins newborn girl. Poor guy is up for a promotion but needs help with a full time nanny. Tessa’s text message is messed up and ends up going to Atlas. This is what starts a friendship between these two. Tessa is a child therapist and that’s how they finally meet face to fact. Fun story that’s starts with page one. Love these two characters. Highly recommend. Atlas, single dad, is a hot mess with his young daughter having temper tantrums and her baby cousin she resents. He is on the verge of making named senior partner at the law firm where he works. He is frazzled because there are not enough hours in a day to tend to everyone. Another single dad refers him to a child therapist, Tessa. Her spiteful, cheating fiancé took her beloved dog when she threw him out and she wants him back. She is all bent out of shape. Being attracted to her patient’s father is bad and worse because he wants her too. He is lucky to have a great support group of other single dads so he is not navigating all alone. She is grieving the loss of her dog and has no visitation. She helps him cope through his stresses and he helps her with her legal problems. Besides being an enjoyable book, it touches on the parts of getting through life when you are grieving, overwhelmed with kids and work and are doing it alone. Nice addition to the series!

I absolutely loved this book. It had everything I wanted from suspense to flirting to fun. I couldn’t put it down once started.
I loved Atlas and Tessa together, it was great how they met. And how they finally got together. They had instant spark.
Whitley Cox did amazing job on this book.
You don’t know how long I was waiting for this book… It looked like it was so long but actually, it wasn’t. A couple of months but too long… Lol
This is how I feel every time an author that I really adore has books coming out.
The more I read, the more I want and I can’t get enough.
Each book is even better than the latest and I’m hooked.
Whitley Cox is the author that I’m talking about and her writing is super sweet, intense, and hot. But don’t let the sweet lady fool you because she creates some intense stories with complex characters and problems.
Flirting with the Single Dad is her latest release and it’s the ninth book from the Single Dads Of Seattke6seties. A series that you can’t miss and must read all books it’s an order.
Just trust me on this.
This new book explores the lives of Atlas and Tessa.
Atlas is a lawyer and a single parent. He lost his wife and was left to raise his daughter and also his infant cousin alone. He’s a very reserved man because he’s still in pain. When he started to play cards with other single parents he was supposed to open up, but that’s hard for him. Shen his daughter starts to act up and misbehaving he went with her to see a therapist and…
Tessa is an art therapist that loves her job. She needed to grow up fast due to her mother’s illness but that shaped her to became an amazing person and to not let her baggage interfere.
The thing is when her fiancé cheats on her she almost lost it. Until she meets Atlas…
So freaking good. So freaking intense… So everything.
Superb plot, very well written, super engaging, and beautiful.
Some chapters were hard to read due to the emotional baggage they had, and others were hot… Oh yeah… Some hot stuff in there too.
There were parts of the story that I wanted to get inside the book and slap someone… Jeez… Why can’t you see what’s right in front of you? Stubborn arse.
But then there were others that I was crying and shaking from its intensity.
Let’s talk about emotional…
Once I started this book, I didn’t want it to end or stop, but work got in the way and that delayed my reading.
I was mad… Oh, so freaking mad but then, one night I devoured the rest.
Perfect, intense, passionate… This book was all that and some more.
Can’t wait to read the next in the bunch…
That one will be… Oh boy…
Whitley… Woman… You rock. This book was perfect and you achieved greatness… Perfection.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The story line was good and the book had a smooth flow to it. The character work was great. Even though I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series, I didn’t feel lost. I look forward to more from this author.

This is book nine of the Single Dads of Seattle Series and I must say they have all been enjoyable reads. The author’s approach to this series is by having the guys being the pivot point of the story, and it works extremely well. By most, Atlas is considered introverted and grumpy, but the loss of your wife and full time care of two children will do that to you. Atlas and Tessa have a dual relationship, she is his daughter’s therapist and they are unknowingly texting each other. Great read with excellent character portrayal.

Atlas is over is head, he’s a single dad to both his daughter and his young niece. Tessa is an art therapist whose gone through an awful breakup. Atlas takes his daughter to Tessa’s but he behaves like an @$$ because of his attraction to her, yet because of a wrong number they strike up a friendship.
I can’t help but fall for the men in this series every time.
