He’s a hot single dad. A military man with abs of steel. My brother’s best friend. My biggest enemy. And now my fake date to my best friend’s wedding. Disasterville, here we come…Mission: Survive my best friend’s wedding, where I must play nice with my ex and his perfect new girlfriend.Strategy: Bring the hottest fake boyfriend on the planet.Target: Grady Rock. Master Baker. Dimples. Muscles. … planet.
Target: Grady Rock. Master Baker. Dimples. Muscles. The unicorn of fake boyfriends.
Complication: Wyatt Morgan. My brother’s best friend. My sworn enemy. Military man. Sexy as hell single dad. The man I let into my panties for one night of hot hate sex after my ex dumped me.
And the man who just scared off that perfect fake boyfriend.
By pretending to be my real boyfriend.
I can roll with this though. What’s the harm in Flirting with the Frenemy if it helps me get the job done?
Complete my mission and move on.
Or so I thought.
Until Wyatt kisses me again and I start feeling things I shouldn’t.
The thing about weddings…nothing ever goes as planned.
Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

This is not my first read by this author & not last for sure, so far I have loved every book, including this funny banter, adventurous, steamy and fun story!
When Ellie and Wyatt have a rather unforgettable night, It seems that Wyatt’s idea of smooth, was not so smooth after all. What happens next had me crying. She did not deserve it, but life throws curve balls left and right.
6 months later they again meet in a unconventional way except, Wyatt isn’t alone. What went from a funny ha ha moment turned into something Ellie is now stuck with…maybe that is what they both needed.
The banter back and forth in this book is hilarious. I enjoyed reading every page. There is a lot of characters in there BUT enough information to pertain who is what and so forth. Talk about two people who have known each other since they were kids, fighting still as adults. The story is based around an event & there really is a lot happening so might want to give this a 110%, it’s completely worth it and you will love every page.
I am rating this a 5 & would most definitely recommend this!

Another Pippa book that gives me the happy feels. Many of my favorite books make me feel warm and fuzzy and I love knowing that when I open a Pippa Grant book, I am going to enter that zone. Wyatt is a keeper and is going on my BBF shelf. I absolutely love stories about people who have known each other from childhood and progress into a couple. The frenemy snarkiness was hilarious, as was Beck and his brotherly input. I can not wait for the next book!
Flirting with the Frenemy was astonishingly hilarious and I absolutely had so much fun reading this light and quirky rom-com. There was never a dull moment in the book with the crazy townspeople of Shipwreck, the pirate theme wedding, and the accidents/disasters that followed Ellie and Wyatt whenever they got close. Ellie and Wyatt were fun together. Their witty banter and arguments were hilarious and I adore how they were so quick and nifty when they try to one up each other. It is so true that there is only a fine line between love and hate; what one see as argument can also be seen as flirtation. It seemed like Ellie and Wyatt were the only ones blinded by their constant bickering to see that they were meant to be with each other. If you are out looking for a light and hearty rom-com to take a break from anything heavy, you won’t be disappointed with this one.

I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Pippa Grant’s writing style just gets better and better.
She knows how to pull you in and make you feel like you are apart of the story.
The characters become so real they are Family.
Wyatt, is a military dad who came from a background, where in the beginning his family life wasn’t the best.
When his grandma started to care for him, she introduced him to the Ryder family and they became like a second family to him.
Beck, became his best friend and his sister Ellie, became the little sister to torment.
He ends up getting a girl pregnant and does the right thing by marrying her, but she just doesn’t want the military life and divorced him moving his son far away.
Now, he only see him spareringly, because the Air Force will not relieve him of his duties or transfer him closer to his son.
Ellie, has had a hate love hate relationship with Wyatt, ever since he was peaking around his grandma’s leg.
All she wanted was to be one of the boys and she worked hard, to out do them in everything they did.
Wyatt, challenged her to become better by taunting her even when she was perfect.
She only became stronger, faster, smarter with each challenge.
When her boyfriend dumps her on Christmas Eve, she finds solance in his arms.
When Wyatt over thinks it and calls it a mistake, because her family is the closest thing to a family he has, she runs and ends up in a car accident.
Forward six months later and they ended up in her bothers house together along with his son.
She’s there for her best friends wedding.
She needs a date, because her friend is marrying the brother of her ex, who just happens to be the best man.
She had it all planned out, but Wyatt, who is there for the week to take his son to the pirates festival, has other plans.
He now must to pretend to be the boyfriend.
When sparks fly, everyone around them see what’s been coming for a long time and are so happy for them.
The problem is they can’t see it for themselves.
This is a fun story with crazey a parrot, a pirate themed wedding, and lots of heat.
Pippa Grant, is a one-click author for me.
Another great series, on the way for this family.
Lots of fun and lots if steam. Another funny, well-written romantic comedy with lots if feelings!
The term frenemy has been re-defined in this larger-than-life tale of love and hate. Ellie always had a fiery relationship her brother’s best friend, Wyatt. But her feelings take on a whole new level of mixed up emotion when her entire world was rocked in an instant. She and Wyatt are a recipe for disaster and she is convinced that the universe is out to make sure that they keep their distance. When one tub of “loser ice-cream” ignites their fiery relationship, a disaster strikes. Now they are facing-off with each other again. However, hate is akin to love and they realize that their feelings are worth risking the disasters that universe might have in store for them.
Pippa Grant achieves perfection with this hilariously funny, super heartwarming, and overall delightful-to-read book. Flirting with the Frenemy will cure your blues and make your face hurt from smiling.
There’s just something special about a single dad in romance. Flirting with the Frenemy is probably one of my favorite single dad tropes to date. While the lead character, Ellie had a little bit of darkness to overcome, she was fun and I really enjoyed her and Wyatt. This book was exactly what you expect and want from a Pippa Grant story. I can’t wait for Beck’s story coming soon!
OK so I’ve read a few of Pippa’s books before and loved them, but this one I didn’t love. I couldn’t get into it, so many characters were introduced from the very beginning and it was all over the place. I literally couldn’t keep up with what going on. This is not like the rest of her books that I’ve read where it’s a page tuner and you can just get immersed it in and just read.
I read to chapter 3 and then had to skip most of the book, and read the end chapter, which was still all over the place with so many characters, jumping back and forth, and I just couldn’t read it.
I was a bit disappointed as I was excited for this book and the new series as I love Pippa’s books, but this one was way off the mark for me.
*** SORRY PIPPA***
I loved this book. I love how Pippa Grant’s books are all stand alone (though why wouldn’t you read them all?) but how they intertwine with other characters that we have met in previous books. This one did not fail to pull at the heart strings, make me laugh and steam up the windows. This is not your normal Best Friend’s sister love story. This isn’t your normal single dad love story. This isn’t your normal frenemy to lovers…It is all that and MORE.
I loved Ellie and Wyatt’s story so freaking much. They were characters that I both loved and wanted to strangle at the same time (the BEST kind!) Throw in some swearing parrots, pirate themed week, pirate themed wedding, costumes and this is a book of pure enjoyment.

I loved this hilarious heart warming romance between Ellie and Wyatt. The bumps and curves of their journey were entertaining and captivating, I didn’t want to put this book down.
Wyatt and Ellie have their own issues to deal with, but once they find their footing together they blossom.
Pippa Grant never fails to surprise me with her books. They always make me laugh and keep my on my toes, FWtF is another to add to my list of lovable books.
I highly recommend this book!
Another great book by Pippa Grant! The storyline, character development, and shenanigans are hilarious and entertaining, and I fully appreciate Pippa’s ability to make animals secondary/tertiary characters in her books! Can’t go wrong with this one.
OMG! Pirates, monkeys, parrots & the feels! Pippa Grant has a way with words that makes you fall in love, laugh and enjoy the ride!
Ellie and Wyatt have known each other since they were kids, growing up in the same neighborhood and Wyatt was best friends with Ellie’s brother Beck. Ellie and Wyatt always argued and picked at each other, never really getting along, even as adults. Then one night after Wyatt’s divorce disaster and Ellie’s breakup disaster, they had an emotion-fueled hookup. Ellie rushed out and her whole life was changed.
Six months later, Ellie is in her best friend’s wedding and staying in one of Beck’s vacation houses. Beck had also offered the house to Wyatt and his son Tucker, not telling Wyatt that Ellie was staying there also.
Between pirates, marauding goats, fires, floods, and Frogger, nothing will be the same for either of them again.
This was a fun book. It isn’t my favorite of Pippa Grant’s books, but it still hilariously entertaining. I loved all the characters. And how fun would it be to visit a town with a pirate festival where everyone gets so into character?
For this novel, Pippa built “A whole new world!! A dazzling place I never kneeeeeew.” Not even kidding about that.
This is the first of her Bro Code series, which I have a sneaking suspicion will tie into her other books very soon due to the numerous Easter eggs found within. It’s a fabulous start to a new series chock full of hot, talented guys, the strong, sassy women who love them and enough heart to do a transplant. While enjoying the fabulous romp through Flirting with the Frenemy, make sure to stop and dig for buried pirate gold, enjoy banana pudding donuts with your favorite single dad, make fun of your skanky ho of an ex, and bring plenty of costumes for a wedding you won’t soon forget. Wyatt+Ellie Forever!!!
With each and every book that author Pippa Grant writes, I think I have found a favorite book, and Flirting with the Frenemy ranks as my favorite book so far way on top. Is it because there is a sexy single dad? Maybe. Or maybe because Tucker, Wyatt’s son is just so darn cute himself. Then there is Ellie oh my goodness snarky and strong to a fault Ellie. She should not be attracted to her brother’s best friend but she is and boy does they act on it. And when they do they set the world on fire…literally.
This is the start of a whole new series based on the Bro Code boy band and their lives.
I love a good Romantic Comedy based in a town called Shipwreck. If you like pirates and snarky sexy characters with cute little ones (both 2 legged Tucker and 4 legged ones goats). This is the book for you. I personally read this twice now. An advanced review copy and then as soon as it HIT my kindle at midnight. Ahoy Matey!!
Pippa Grant never ceases to amaze me and this book had me on the floor laughing in tears and my belly hurting. Lord I was cracking up so hard because the characters just jumped right of the pages and into my life like they were so real. Ellie and Wyatt are an amazing and adorable couple together once they get it right.
Ellie is in town at her brothers house for her friends wedding which she is having a pirate themed wedding which I thought was so cool. But she is there when she gets a surprise of her life her brothers best friend Wyatt shows up with his son. These two have spent one night together that neither one of them can forget but there is so much keeping them apart.
But this time Wyatt is determined to get Ellie and keep her no matter what. How this story unfolds is hilarious watching these two fall in love and have a relationship is a must read! So go on ahead and one click this baby and enjoy the funniest book I have ever read!
Pippa Grant’s novels are always hilarious, but they are also always fun love stories with a lot of laughs along the way.
Ellie and Wyatt are a match made in heaven. Or at least pirate heaven known as Shipwreck. With everything from a cursing parrot to a treasure hunt, this book has a bit of everything that you expect from Pippa Grant.
Well written, hilarious, and a wild romp. A great rom-com for those looking for the emphasis on the COM.
Oh man! This was my first read by Pippa and I was literally laughing out loud. Such a fun, quirky read…not your typical rom-com. Did I mention a pirate wedding and a town called Shipwreck. So fun!
Honestly what can I say about this book to get you more interested then a older brother’s best friend, crazy costumes, and a fowl (pun intended) mouthed bird!? This is one of my favorite types of HEA books because of the realistic aspect of it! You’re going to be sad to see the characters move on without you in their lives, I know I am! Seriously, pick up this book and I challenge you to not finish it in one binge session!
Whether your jam is enemies to lovers, brother’s best friend, hot single dad or just a good ole’ love story, Pippa Grant covers it all with Flirting with the Frenemy. Wyatt and Ellie are my new favorite couple in the pippaverse. They have known each other since childhood and had this odd competitive relationship. They are brought back together for a week of celebrating and preparing for a friend’s pirate wedding. Yes, Pirate Wedding! Wyatt is the hot single military dad to the adorable Tucker. Ellie and Wyatt have some unfinished business after a run in 6 months ago. Due to some unfortunate yet hilarious events the two try to remain friends for everyone’s safety. Ellie is quick witted and the banter among the entire cast of characters is so entertaining. With all the funny, the underlying love story grabbed hold and held my heart captive until the very end. You will have a smile on your face as you devour this book.
