He’s a hot single dad. A military man with abs of steel. My brother’s best friend. My biggest enemy. And now my fake date to my best friend’s wedding. Disasterville, here we come…Mission: Survive my best friend’s wedding, where I must play nice with my ex and his perfect new girlfriend.Strategy: Bring the hottest fake boyfriend on the planet.Target: Grady Rock. Master Baker. Dimples. Muscles. … planet.
Target: Grady Rock. Master Baker. Dimples. Muscles. The unicorn of fake boyfriends.
Complication: Wyatt Morgan. My brother’s best friend. My sworn enemy. Military man. Sexy as hell single dad. The man I let into my panties for one night of hot hate sex after my ex dumped me.
And the man who just scared off that perfect fake boyfriend.
By pretending to be my real boyfriend.
I can roll with this though. What’s the harm in Flirting with the Frenemy if it helps me get the job done?
Complete my mission and move on.
Or so I thought.
Until Wyatt kisses me again and I start feeling things I shouldn’t.
The thing about weddings…nothing ever goes as planned.
Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

I love reading Pippa’s books because they are like cotton candy for my mind. Her characters are amazing. I loved Wyatt and Ellie’s interactions from the beginning. The transformation from best friends annoying sister to love interest and his struggle accepting his feelings for Ellie makes Wyatt that more endearing. I loved meeting Ellie’s brother and totally loved his push of both Ellie and Wyatt towards a relationship. And Pirates! Who doesn’t love a good pirate themed story? This story was fun. And refreshing. Another Pippa adventure that does not disappoint.
I’m a sucker for a good brother’s best friend story abd this one was great. I loved the humor and the characters. I also really loved the wedding and Tucker. I think this is more of a sweet story for this author rather then a out of control humorous one; not that its bad, just different. There was a small part that annoyed me but it was so small that it ultimately didn’t affect my rating (might be a spoiler so I won’t mention it directly).
I don’t know how she keeps giving us such amazing books, but I’m not going to complain. I was hoping we would get some Bro Code back story, and I wasn’t disappointed. Wyatt and Ellie’s story is slightly more serious than some of the other books. Don’t get me wrong, Pippa fans are still going to love it. Wyatt is definitely in the running for my favorite Pippa Hero. Sneezgasms and a cussing parrot, and a town that goes all out pirate; what’s not to love?
Enemies to lovers, pirates, a hidden treasure, a foul mouthed parrot, a bride’s attempted kidnapping by said pirates and a cameo appearance of a herd of wild goats… I really have to stop reading Pippa’s books in the presence of family members!!!
Another crazy, laugh out loud, hilarious and yet full of heart romantic comedy by Pippa Grant, guaranteed to give you hours of pure reading delight! And don’t forget to get the bonus epilogues!!!!!!!
Pippa Grant is the only author that I willingly miss meals, family time and sleep to read. And after every book of her’s I finish saying this is her best yet. This book is no exception. It has her trademark humor, I mean, come on, there are pirates; but this one has a slightly different feeling with a single military dad and the heroine’s life altering event in the first chapter. I’m always a sucker for sibling’s best friend books and I love that this seems to be her specialty. The chemistry between Wyatt and Ellie is so hot it’s dangerous. Throw in a talking parrot, banana pudding and an epic themed wedding and you have all the things that make Pippa Grant my favorite author.
I feel like I should just start all my reviews with Pippa has done it again! Flirting with the Frenemy was phenomenal. While it lacked some of the crazy we’ve come to know and love from Pippa, all the feelings and amazing storylines were there. Wyatt and Ellie are a match made in crazy town. Accidents follow them but their love – in the end – is worth it. What started out fake quickly turned in to feelings neither of them expected. The sub-characters were written so well that I want to know more about all of them – especially Sloane! I’m counting down the days until the next Bro Code book is released!
Another great Pippa book. I love pirates and goats so bonus there. I can’t wait for her next one!
Ellie and Wyatt. Wow.
This was an explosive start to the Bro Code series. Something that has been teased literally since Mister McHottie and I had no clue. Like those were some damn fine Easter eggs, Pippa.
Ellie is the sister of former Bro Code member Beck Ryder and Wyatt is his best friend. So immediately a whole bunch of my favourite tropes are in this book: Brothers best friend, single dad, military, and second chance romance.
This book starts with the crappy Christmas to end all crappy Christmas’, leading to a six-month separation, a crazy wedding and a mission to annoy the life into someone.
Flirting with the Frenemy is set in the town of Shipwreck where pirate shenanigans abound, for Ellie’s best friends wedding. So as you can imagine, there’s an insane parrot, an old pirate with no filter, some hilarious costumes and general Pippa weirdness. It’s fabulous. Obviously.
Ellie and Wyatt, and his son who is beyond cute are all shacked up together in Becks house during the wedding preparations, all due to some careful manipulations by Beck. And after Ellie’s jerk ex makes some even jerkier comments, and Wyatt’s presence makes Grady back off as a fake date, Ellie spins a quick story of fake dating, roping Wyatt into her plans.
Pippa beautifully combines a very hurt heroine, with a slightly fragile man, a frogger obsessed brother, a nutty bride, some actual legumes, a very rude parrot, a new girlfriend I didn’t hate, and an adorable kid to create a story that hooks you in and doesn’t let you go. It’s the kind of book that demands to be read in one sitting, it’s that kind of page-turner.
Flirting with the Frenemy is absolutely amazing, despite the lack of Berger twins, and I can’t wait to see the rest of the Bro Code members get their happily ever afters. Especially after that teaser about Beck. I mean what did he do? I wanna know so flipping bad.
So grab this book, devour it and then read the bonus epilogues for some more crazy.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
I’m starting to realize that if I need a good laugh and some feels then a Pippa Grant novel checks all the right boxes!
Wyatt is both irresistible and infuriating. He’s an all-around great guy – funny, charming, sexy, and the most amazing father. But he can also be pesty, annoying, and mischievous. And no one brings out those qualities better than Ellie.
Ellie is fierce. I absolutely love her. She’s bold, determined, and loyal. There’s nothing she won’t do for her friends. She’s got the best personality and the strongest spirit and you can’t help but love her.
I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers stories and this one hooked me from the beginning. Between the crazy shenanigans, pirate-themed everything, and lovable characters, this new series of standalones is starting off with a bang. I can’t wait to read more!
Wyatt hot military man….check….hot single dad….check….brothers best friend…..check
Ellie strong independent woman who takes the world by storm and fights the good fight until she doesn’t. She gets dumped on Christmas eve instead of engaged.
Hot revenge sex, a car accident and a crazy parrot wedding with parrots, pirates and goats.
Funniest wedding book I’ve read in awhile
After a misunderstanding and a six month hiatus they are thrown together by the scheming brother and a best friend’s wedding, set during a pirate festival (although I’m jealous they didn’t venture over to the unicorn festival).
There are the usual oddball characters thrown in, who add to the hilarity of this story, along with some madcap animals, well it wouldn’t be a Pippa story without them.
Absolutely brilliant!!
Witty, entertaining, well written with a full cast of crazy and lovable characters that we expect from Ms Grant. Ellie and Wyatt’s story will keep you smiling and snorting from page 1.
Six months ago Ellie went through a bad breakup with a long term boyfriend. Wyatt was at the end of a nasty divorce at the same time. One night they used each other for comfort and then Wyatt said it was a mistake. Ellie leaves upset and ends up in a bad car accident. Wyatt blames himself, Ellie wants nothing to do with her brother’s bestfriend. Fast forward to her best friend’s wedding to her ex’s brother in the pirate town of Shipwreck. Ellie will stay at her brother’s vacation house there, but little did she know that he offered it to Wyatt for his week with his son. Sparks will fly!
Love Pippa Grant’s ability to take a situation that is more than uncomfortable and turn it into a funny story. Ellie and Wyatt banter and annoy each other which is how their relationship has been since childhood. The author does a great job of creating characters that you can love. This is a fun, easy read. Looking forward to Bro Code #2.

Flirting with the Frenemy
Pippa Grant
Flirting with the Frenemy was the first book from Pippa Grant I read. And I loved it.
Pippa, what an awesome book.
The story is original, I loved the protagonists, I adored the involvement of the other characters in the story, they didn’t felt like a simple backdrop.
I don’t like comedies, unless it’s a romantic comedies. And even so things can be a little too much. I mean, pirates, cursing parrots and a wedding gone wild could have been a recipe for disaster. But, and believe me when I say it, it was not the case here.
There is romance and funny parts, but also a seriousness that makes all believable. Nothing was excessive or preposterous.
Honestly, as much as I like romantic comedies, I rarely consider them a favourite, but Flirting with the Frenemy is, without a doubt, a favourite.
Pippa Grant wrote a balanced and realistic book.
Thank you, Pippa. I’m now a big fan.
Thank you for generously providing me this ARC in exchange of a honest review.

Flirting with the Frenemy
Pippa Grant
Flirting with the Frenemy foi o primeiro livro da Pippa Grant que eu li. E eu amei.

Fun! This is a fun, zany, hilarious book. All that I’ve come to expected from this author. It’s single Dad, enemy to lovers…he’s always been annoyingly there. The kid is adorable and the stuff he says . If you’re looking for fun this book fits the bill!
If you’ve enjoyed a Pippa Grant book in the past, you’ll want to check this one out ASAP. It’s a fresh twist on her brilliant silly/sexy/swoony combo and it’s so much fun.
If you haven’t read a Pippa Grant book before, start with this rom-com gem. It’s got everything you’re looking for: snarky banter, pratfalls, long-time-coming romance, chuckles and guffaws, dimensional characters, comeuppance for a crappy ex, a potty-mouthed parrot, and pirates. Lots and lots of pirates.
It’s everything I’ve come to expect from Pippa Grant books! Loved Ellie and Wyatt’s story!! The story had me at pirate themed wedding in the town of Shipwreck with a parrot that can “walk the plank” on command. Add her brother’s best friend, Wyatt who’s a single hot dad with a totally adorable son Tucker to the mix and I didn’t want to put the book down.
After a one night stand while both Ellie and Wyatt are at rock bottom. Ellie is trying to get her life back together and one track in the intense driven way she goes about her life. Both accidentally end up sharing a summer house during Shipwreck ‘s pirate festival. Ellie’s just trying to survive her best friend’s wedding where her dirty bag of an ex is also the best man. Between unexpected guests spying on Ellie’s bubble bath, a pizza-party mishap with French dressing and a treasure hunt for a peg leg, among the wedding week’s activities.
There’s so much going on in the story as Wyatt and Ellie realize their possible feelings for each other. After annoying the heck out of each other for years since they were kids. And after both Ellie and Wyatt have been burned by their ex’s. Can anything more come of Ellie being Wyatt’s best friend’s little sister? Can they grow and get past the hurt feeling from Christmas?
I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
I love knowing picking up a book by Pippa Grant I will be in for a ton of laughs. This book caused a book hangover. I was up at 4:30 AM reading this one. I just loved the characters so much. They just grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go. Ellie and Wyatt have know each other since childhood. Wyatt is Ellie’s brother’s best friend. Ellie and Wyatt have always had a love/hate relationship now stuck in house together for a week is going to be interesting. Wyatt had me from the beginning be a single dad and the scenes with his son are just too adorable. I can’t recommend this book or any book by Pippa enough. It has heat, heart, and humor. I love Pippa’s sense of humor.
I adored Ellie and Wyatt’s chemistry. Wyatt is the brothers friend, single father, mortal enemy to Ellie and boy do the sparks fly! Another extremely amusing, laugh out loud story from Pippa Grant
Wyatt is a hot military single dad (swoon). Ellie is the younger sister of Wyatts best friend. Wyatt and Ellie have always irritated each other since the time they were little. What happens when they realize that they don’t actually hate each other? What do they do when every time they kiss something catastrophic seems to happen? Ellie is convinced the world will end if they admit they love each other and have a relationship. Will they world as they know end if they go for more?
LOVE this story!!!
