An all new flirty, lighthearted, standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg guaranteed to make you swoon. Blakely Foxx is having one of those years. Her divorce may have been finalized a few months ago, but her ex is already engaged to someone half her age. Her younger boss is determined to sabotage her chance at getting the promotion she rightly deserves. And to make … the promotion she rightly deserves. And to make matters worse, she’s closing in on the big 4-0. There isn’t enough wine or ice cream in the world to convince her things will turn around.
When Blakely meets Slade Henderson, she’s left wondering why an early-thirties, hotter than hell, cardiothoracic surgeon would take an interest in her.
She’s been warned that he’ll break her heart, but she’s willing to take the chance. Not only is he helping her get that promotion, but in the process, he’s encouraging her to find the parts of herself she’s lost over the past few years.
Slade shows her that good guys really do exist, but who knew the hardest part about turning forty would be realizing the man you thought was a rebound, is actually your happily ever after?

“Sure, you’re divorced, and damn straight, you’re flirting with forty.”
This book is about Blakely, she is recently divorced and her ex has already found somebody half his age. She also is having drama with her job, which makes her feel like her world is going a bit cray cray around her.
To top that off, she meets Slade Henderson and he is flirting with her….she is like woahh, this craziness is continuing, no way, is he flirting with her?? Yesss, Slade is really flirting with her and he is very interested in her!! But Blakely, truthfully, has lost some of that confidence that she use to have when she was younger. (like we all do) But Slade is about to ROCK her world!!!!
Y’all, I have been dying to read Bromberg’s newest book, Flirting with 40. I love older women and younger men books. They are sooo fun, flirty and very sexy. And you bet your sweet hiney..lol Flirting with 40 checks off all those boxes!! I definitely had some laugh out loud moments and some blushing moments. I had all those feels Blakely was going through while trying to decide if she wanted to mess with this hotter than hell, early-thirties, and he is a cardiothoracic surgeon hottie.
Ummm, you go girl!!!
“The banter, which Bromberg is fan-damn-tastic at, the push and pull and the fun chase made this one heckova 5 Star read for me!!!
Swoon, swoon and more swoon. I loved, loved this light hearted, funny sexy flirty book. This is not the typical K. Bromberg book, but i loved it. The push pull, flirt relationship with these two is so fun to read. Slade is everything. This man, what’s not to love. A doctor, kind hearted, brave, complely in touch with it takes to make a women feel. I loved Blakeley. Shes a women who looses herself, a bit but with the help of a good younger man finds herself and a whole lot more. This is a fun cute read. I really enjoyed Slade and Blakely.
Blakely and Slade.
She’s 39 years old. Has been divorced from her husband for seven months now. He’s about to get married to a girl almost half their age. Plus Blakely’s boss Heather is a major … b-word person, who thinks Blakely’s too old for the trendy job.
Slade is 31. A heart surgeon on a not exactly voluntary sabbatical.
Blakely and Slade meet at a bar.
And suddenly he’s kinda her pretend-or-not-pretend boyfriend for the company’s bonding retreat.
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN ….
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH BLAKELY + SLADE?
WILL THERE BE A HAPPY END?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT
Adorable! And funny.
I really enjoyed reading this.
Such a sweet and fun romance.
A kind of finding-yourself-again self help book. LOL!
For most of the story we’re at the company retreat at a cabin lake resort place.
So we have lots of fun adventurey moments. And lots of angry-at-the-boss moments.
I really loved reading this.
Slade is so adorable and somehow the grown-up in this whole story.
It’s a bit as if he’s a guardian angel here to help Blakely find herself again … and then he’ll disappear after he’s done his job. But of course we want him to stay and get that happily ever after!
I wouldn’t mind getting a spin-off for Blake’s bestie! She’s a hilarious single mom!
Flirting with 40 was such a sweet & adorable & funny age-gappy adventure love story. READ IT!
Also – Slade is mine – so you need to get your own book!
I’m all about light-hearted, fun and flirty reads these days, and K. Bromberg nailed all of that with Flirting With 40! This reverse age-gap romance with a fake relationship twist features a recently divorced almost-40-year-old heroine and a younger surgeon.
Blakely is newly divorced – with an ex who’s moved on to a much younger model – and is dealing with some workplace-related drama. As the blows keep coming, she struggles through all of it. Her battles with her self-confidence issues made her all the more authentic and real and relatable to me. Slade, a cardiothoracic surgeon in his early thirties dealing with his own workplace issues, is currently on a bit of a forced sabbatical when he approaches Blakely in a bar. Their first meeting was anything but cute, but Slade was so persistent and charming that Blakely eventually warmed up to him.
I really loved Slade. He was so genuine in his interest in and pursuit of Blakely. He was consistently supportive and encouraging, and he really was the driving force behind not only Blakely’s personal evolution post-divorce but also her professional growth. Slade may have been handsome and sexy, but it was the way he handled Blakely that made him so completely swoon-worthy.
Flirting With 40 was an absolute pleasure to read. I was sucked right into this story from page one, and I barely lifted my eyes from my Kindle as I devoured this book. I loved every single second of Blakely and Slade’s sweet, sexy love story! Five smooches from me for Flirting With 40 by K. Bromberg!

Ugh, you really can’t go wrong with a K. Bromberg book, just about every book I’ve read by her I’ve loved. And you can definitely add Flirting With 40 to the list books that you’ll absolutely adore.
There were so many elements to love about this one, an age gap, opposites attract and strangers to friends to lovers. And Blakely is getting her second chance at love with a man who is constantly pushing her up and being the best person to have on her side … unlike her ex-husband.
Character development is one of my favorite things to see in a book and Blakely goes through quite the change in the best way possible. She never really knew how toxic a relationship she was in until she met Slade. He was constantly showing her how much of a beautiful and amazing person she was. And she really started coming into herself but keeping the feistiness that she carries so well.
Sladeeeeeee, that man, LOVEEEE him so much. He won me over so quickly and he’s just so damn smooth about everything.
One thing that kept me from rating it a 5 was the constant conflict with her boss, Heather. I felt like it played a bigger role than it should have and kind overpowered things a bit for me. This definitely might be a small thing for many though, so don’t mind me.
Highly recommend this book, a light read, low drama and alllllllll the heat!
Flirting With 40 is an addictive age-gap/fake relationship romance that will melt your heart! Blakely Foxx is trying to move on after her husband left her for a younger woman. Her new boss is also younger and isn’t making life any easier on Blakely either. Blakely is feeling a bit lost and a bit like a failure when a sexy younger man tries to talk to her at a bar, and she just unloads on him. Slade Henderson is a cardio-thoracic surgeon who is completely captivated by the gorgeous woman next to him. He is intrigued by her confidence, and her insecurities. Their first meet doesn’t go as well as either of them wanted but fate brings them together again. When Blakely needs Slade to be her fake boyfriend on a work retreat, he jumps at the chance to help her. It starts out a bit awkward but the activities during the retreat were fun, helping Blakely to feel more confidence and bringing them together. The transformation of their relationship was sweet and romantic, and the sexual tension and fiery chemistry was off the charts! But what happens when they return to the real world and their demanding careers get in the way? This tender, heartwarming story has all the feels and it will make you laugh, smile and swoon all at the same time.
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and it most defiantly will not be the last. This book is fun, flirty, steamy and is full of complete laugh out loud moments and is also a very sweet romance read that is an awesome age gap romance.
Blakely’s life is all up in the air at the minute, everything is. Her boss is being a total jerk at the minute and her life is going through some major changes with the divorce and the worst part is that her ex husband didn’t waste anytime moving on with someone new and sexy.
Slade is the very hot and sexy guy who has an awesome personality to go with it. When he starts flirting with Blakely she cant believe it and tries he best to ignore the situation. He’s a complete sweet talker though and and this doc is hotter than hell. The problem is her confidence is shot to nothing after everything she’s been through and her self esteem is completely crushed because of her ex.
I did really like how this authors has written these characters and I loved the banter between them both and the chemistry was defiantly there between them both. I love the fact that he’s sees something in her, something special and that her opens her eyes to what love really feels like. This story flows beautifully and this book will truly have you laughing throughout and loving love. I will defiantly be looking out for this authors work in the future and this book is a real must read guys, MUST READ.
Such a feel good, touching romance! Blakely Foxx thought turning 40 was going to be different but when her ex husband already moved on like a light turning on and her boss undermines her everyday, she doubts herself. That was until she meets stunning, cardiothoracic surgeon, Slade Henderson, one lonely night drowning her sorrows at the bar. He may be younger but there is just something about Slade that makes her feel alive again. They form a bond and maybe something more. When she need to go on a work bonding retreat, can these two find a way to make everyone believe they are a real couple? This is such a charming and sweet friends to lovers, fake couple romance that shows age truly is just a number. Go after what you want in life and don’t be afraid to be yourself. Slade is a gem and these two come alive together. A fantastic, feel good, playful romance. Told in dual POV
Fun, flirty and steamy! One on my favorite authors has come up with a light, sexy love story that’s just perfect. An age gap romance with a harried divorcée on the cusp of 40 and a younger hunky doctor. Age is just a number with the steam between these two. I loved Blakely and Slade as they embark on a relationship that is so sexy and just what she needs. Her ex doesn’t get to have all the fun! Slade is a TDR hunk but will he be able to persuade Blakely to give them a real chance? Oh Blakely, you can’t say no. Silly woman! Terrific writing, fabulous characters and a witty, sexy romance makes this a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Flirting with 40 is light hearted, hilarious and swoon worthy. Can I just say that I love everything about Slade. He is so sweet, thoughtful and fun. Slade brings out the best in everyone including Blakely. She is beautiful and intelligent but vulnerable. I loved there age gap and think it complimented them both very well. They are both so driven that the only thing missing in their lives was love! Who knew sexy Slade could mend her broken heart. You need to read this book for the bar, the bear, the woods or more so the tree, and the swing. This story will have falling in love so hard that you’ll want him to be your heart doctor in and out of the bedroom for life too.

I already finished my first read of September. Stayed up until 1 am on this morning to finished it. So yeah I only got 5 hours of sleep and it was totally worth it.
Flirting With 40 by K Bromberg was a very sweet, fluffy, light, sexy and fun read. Exactly what I needed after so many intense and emotional books that I read back to back in the last weeks of August. Very well written and completely charming. I don’t know about you guys but sometimes those are the perfect reads to bright your day. I fell in love with the characters and couldn’t get enough of their incredible chemistry and fun banter.
This is an age-gap romance where the woman is older than the guy but not by much. For some reason I have read a lot of this trope where the guy is older. Too bad because us girl ROCK and we can also get the young sexy guy too right?!
Flirting With 40 is a friends to lover, fake relationship, age gap read. I love relating with Blakely Foxx worries and insecurities as been a 39 year old woman. You know, almost hitting 40 and thinking not everything is up and perky like in your twenties.

I love how Slade Henderson was Incredible, attentive and giving. He is a cardio thoracic surgeon. Hella hot!!! He helps Blakely re discover herself. It was so romantic and super fun to watch them banter and just enjoy one another.
If your in need of a wonderful sweet and super sexy read you definitely need to grab Flirting With 40.
This is my very first K.Bromberg book I’ve read and I’m completely smitten.
I love the love story of Blakely and Slade. I always reach for a story about a woman pushing or around 40 finding love and being swept off her feet primarily because I’m in my 40’s and it’s good to be reminded love isn’t just for the young and perfectly beautiful. But many times I’m disappointed with the stories because the love story doesn’t seem authentic or even possible in fantasy worlds. However, Ms. Bromberg did a fantastic job of writing a story that was plausible and believable while still giving the reader that taste of fantasy and escape we all crave a little (which is why we read romance books). I fell in love with Blakely and Slade. Blakely was not painted as a bitter “older” divorced woman angry at all mankind, and it was refreshing. And Slade certainly was not the “younger” man you wonder if he really does have some mommy issues and needs the “older” heroine to ground him and bring wisdom into his life. The Heroine and Hero’s character and personalities were real and relatable. I would totally buy them as a real life couple and would never blink at the age difference. Which is the point of an age difference romance, that true real love doesn’t know age or race or gender.
So I applaud Ms. Bromberg on a job well done with a story line that can be difficult to navigate, yet she wrote a beautiful love story with grace and truth and made you believe there really is such a thing as love for anyone at any age.
Thank you Ms. Bromberg. I will be reading more of your books!
