4.5-Stars for Flip Flops & Puck Drops
Not sure why titled, Flip Flops & Puck Drops, however, this is a quick, fun novella length. One-click to enjoy the extremely hated, yes hated, yet hot banter between Peter & Cam. The kind of banter that can only lead to sizzling connection between the sheets. While this one’s not overly steamy it’s certainly recommended. My reason for not rating it 5-Stars is because the reader is left hanging & wondering what’s next & what the future holds for these two since Flip Flops & Puck Drops is supposedly the last book in the Slapshot Series.
While I did receive an advance copy from the author via BookSprout, I also purchased the book, and am voluntarily leaving my own opinion with my voluntary review.

Peter is a hockey player but right now he is temporarily locked out of his place due to a hookup gone wrong. Since there is not a happy ever after, she has decided to stay and lock him out! Without much else he can do, he goes to a teammates (Chris and Natalie’s) place to get some help. There he sees Cam who is staying there. These two dislike each other. Or do they. There is a pull between these two but can they get over their discord? We first see Peter and Cam in Book 8 -Wedding Rings & Champions. Now we get to read about Peter and if he can get his HEA? Will Cam tell him her secret and if so will Cam be willing to help her? I really liked their interaction and liked how they slowly came to terms with each other. Definitely recommend.

When Cam needs a place to stay she turns to her best friend for help. Peter’s now ex has a different view of their relationship and locks him out of his place so he asks his friend if he can stay at his place. Both friends happened to be married to each other and agree that they can stay at their place. However neither knows until they are there that they are staying there together. Sparks fly between them as they continue with their banter. When they started talking to each other they found they had a lot in common. Just as things starts to get heated between them Cam’s abusive ex starts causing problems. Will her ex ends things between her and Peter before they even have a chance?
This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat and leaving wanting more. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was a enemies to lovers sports romcom that will have you laughing at Peter’s arrogance and comebacks to Cam’s irritated snarky remarks and comments. The two cant spend 5 minutes in a room together without snipping at each other.
Peter finds him self locked out of his apartment by an upset girlfriend……..hold on…….Peter doesnt do girlfriends,……lets call her a confused lady friend that wants more out of their casual relationship……….and being a cheapskate that he is instead of staying at a hotel he begs his best friend and team mate to let him stay at his house until the locksmiths show up. But when he gets there his best friends wifes best friend is their too……… this is getting complicated……. Peter has had the hots for Cam since he met her but she cant stand him….. but this time Peter notices that the self confidant and sassy Cam is not her usual self….she is hiding something……and he is going to find out what it is……oh and get her in his bed asap………

This is intense, suspenseful, steamy and sweet. Peter is cocky, flirty, amusing and caring. Cam is strong, brave, vulnerable and snarky. Whenever these two are together they snipe at each other, Cam doesn’t like Peter and he has no idea why. When Peter comes home from visiting family, he finds himself locked out of his apartment by the girl he was sort of seeing, so he ended up at his buddy Christopher’s house. Then Cam shows up needing a place to stay. They played nice, other than sniping at each other, and gradually started to like each other. Cam found that she felt safe around Peter, and Peter found himself feeling very protective of and drawn to Cam. They have Cam’s abusive ex to thank for that. He keeps coming after her, Peter keeps getting between them. Peter goes from being a player to being a sweet, gentle and caring guy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

The plot is well-developed, consistent, interesting, and engaging. It is an on the edge of your seat captivating, heart-wrenching read that is full of steamy sex, angst, witty banter, and twists and turns. The characters that are likeable and perfect for each other; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts. This story will keep you captivated from beginning to end. Strongly recommended!

Cam is staying with her best friend Natalie and her husband Chris because she needs to get away from her abuser. When she gets there she finds out Chris’s best friend Peter is staying there too. Loved the crazy banter between these two and how every time they are around each other sparks fly. This is an entertaining, fun romance filled with drama, danger, suspense, humor, steam and so much more. The writing is great, the characters are believable and perfect together.
Heather C. Myers is on a winning streak with FLIP FLOPS & PUCK DROPS, the tenth book in the Slapshot series. This is Peter Holiday’s and Cameron Warner’s story. They originally met in book eight, WEDDING RINGS & CHAMPIONS, when they were in Las Vegas. They had an immediate dislike for one another. Due to different circumstances, they both need a place to stay and wind up at Christopher and Natalie Worthington’s place. Chris is Peter’s best friend and teammate. Natalie is Cam’s best friend and co-worker. (Book eight is Chris’ and Natalie’s story.)
Peter and Cam have an entertaining relationship. They initially annoy each other but are attracted to one another. Their banter is humorous. After being stuck in the same house together they get to know each other and realize there is more to the other. They end up relating. Some compelling situations happen in the novel that changes Peter’s and Cam’s relationship. I enjoyed discovering more about Peter’s and Cam’s personalities and history.
Heather C. Myers did a great job with this story. It was cleverly written. The character development was well done, and the plot was skillfully executed. FLIP FLOPS & PUCK DROPS was a fantastic addition to the Slapshot series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
The final book in this series finishes it out strong. The main characters, hockey player Peter and Cam, Natalie’s friend who is escaping an abusive relationship, both fine themselves needing a place to stay and turn to Nat and Christopher’s home. This turns into an enemies to friends to lovers within two days whew! It seems Peter goes through the biggest personality change in making a commitment for the first time. Good for him.
I liked this quick read and am recommending it for your reading enjoyment.
I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.

This was a good story and was nice getting some background on the other caharacteds for those that hadn’t read the previous stories in the series. It does stand alone. It makes me want to go read the others so that’s what I will be doing. The interactions between Peter and Cam are hilarious since they started out as “enemies” in a way. But hate turns to love and it was nice seeing how it developed for them, especially since Peter was there when Cam needed him.

4.5 stars Excellent present day hockey romance. The author develops the characters and story line so the reader can see how, and why the two main characters, Cam and Peter, clash. as they each need a place to stay. Cam keeps herself closed off and why and how their relationship changes. This is an enjoyable story with intrigue with the addition of some past abuse issues. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Myers.
Peter is a leading man unlike any I’ve ever read before. He’s cocky and little full of himself. But his frugal nature and humility are almost polar opposite qualities to his hefty ego. Cam is trying to extract herself from a situation no one should ever be caught in. Her unfamiliar emotional state leaves her combative, leading to explosive chemistry with Peter. The snarky banter the pair indulge in is a laugh riot to witness. I love this series. Personally, I would love to see it continue indefinitely, as I can see so many possibilities to carry it forward. And since I adore knowing what happens after happily ever after, I always want to check back in with the couples we’ve seen in the earlier books.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Cam has a dark secret. Peter has a crazy ex who’s not really an ex lock him out of his apartment. They both need to crash at their friends place. They can’t seem to get along with one another….. will that last? They say there’s a thin line between love and hate.

Flip Flops and Puck Drops by Heather C Myers is the 10th book in the Slapshot series, and the first one of the series I’ve read. I loved the chemistry Peter and Cam had, along with their banter. Two very strong characters in a well written book.
