Life has not been fair to Jenna Davis. After losing everything she considered her world three years ago, her only hope has been holding on and trying to survive. When she finally decides she must find a way to go on with life, she boards a plane destined to visit a friend across the country. But she hadn’t counted on meeting a handsome stranger and his young son on the flight, nor could she have … have prepared herself for what life would throw at her next. Can Jenna find love again after tragedy strikes or is she destined to go from one tragedy to another forever?
Scott Browning was devastated when his marriage broke up. With his young son, Lane, he is learning to pick up the pieces and go on with life. On his way home from a visit to his parents, Scott meets a young woman who will change everything, just before his own life is thrown into question. Most couples think about love at first sight. Could this one be love at first death?

“Staci Stallings writes Christian romance at its finest!” A compelling story that will leave you asking, “Why am I here?” and “What is the point of suffering and trials?” Life, death, danger, forgiveness, mercy, grace, and most of all hope, “Flight 259” and its sequel “A Time for Love” give you a glimpse into not just this life but what is to come. Maybe, the story says, the trials of life are designed to teach us to hope in God and to hold on for second chances we never knew might come our way.
EXCERPT
The emergency lights in the cabin flickered even though most of the violent shuddering of the wounded aircraft had subsided. Worried voices and screams of pain intermittently pierced the ominous semi-darkness. Oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling, and Jenna grabbed for hers and then helped Lane with his. When she looked over to Scott, his face was a ghastly white, and with one look, she knew it was more than fear.
“Are you okay?” she yelled through her mask as she saw him struggling to get his own on. “Here!” She reached over and helped him put the mask on. Between them, Lane began screaming when he saw Scott with the mask on his face. “No, shhh, honey. Shhh.” Jenna pulled him to her, soothing and rubbing Lane’s arm. “It’s okay. It’s going to be okay.”
However, the other cries in the plane and the convulsions of the plane itself were wreaking havoc on everyone’s nerves, and Lane was no different.
“Listen,” she said willing her voice to be calm, and then without her knowing how or why, the words and melody just came. “Amazing Grace how sweet the sound.” It was the song her father had taught her many years before, and somehow the words flowed through her now with no effort at all. Her voice sounded much stronger and far calmer than she felt, but she knew that somehow she had to get Lane to calm down. She had no other choice.
The chaos around them mounted as the plane nose-dived forward, righted itself, and then pitched forward again. Each pitch was like being thrown headlong off a cliff. Without questioning it, Jenna reached across Lane and held him against the seat. As the plane dipped again, she had the vague thought that this was her worst nightmare come true, but she pushed even that observation away. She had to remain focused if she wanted to make it out of this alive…

It is a story of love, faith, hope, and God. What more could you want?
Wonderful Christian novel of a tragic airplane crash that brings out the best in people and draws two lonely individuals close. I loved the characters and how Staci brought them out. The interactions of family was real and lived up to the series name, “Hope”. Again Staci Stallings is a new author to me and so happy I found her.
Great book from start to finish!
More than just a Contemporary Christian Romance.
I read Flight 259 a few years ago. Last week, my mother told me there were more books in the series she thought I should read. So, I decided I would read this first book again before I started reading though the other books in the series. I am so glad that I did decide to reread this story. It is such a wonderful story in so many ways.
I was hesitant to read this book at first because after losing my husband and soul mate in 2013, I was afraid the story would hit too close to home and hurt my heart to read it. I am so glad that I conquered that fear as this story blessed my heart. I went through nearly a full box of tissues reading this story. But it was worth it!
I went through one-on-one grief counseling in 2014 and 2015 with a secular health professional. While it was helpful, it did not help me understand “why” did this happen the way it did and “how” am I going to get through this grief to find my new normal. I was “stuck” in my grief. In 2018, I joined GriefShare, a faith-based grief support group which helped me immensely, I learned some coping skills, but still wasn’t completely satisfied with the “why and how” I still didn’t fully understand. While reading Book 3, I finally began to understand the “why and how”. I have not made so many notes while reading a book (other than when I was in school) than I did while reading through Book 3. This series has been a Godsend to me. I highly recommend it to anyone. Besides being a very inspirational Contemporary Christian Romance Series, I found it to be a great roadmap for understanding and navigating the grieving process through the grief counseling provided to the characters in the story. There are just so many good reasons to read this series. I hope you do yourself a favor and pick it up today.
I really enjoyed reading this book. As a matter of fact, I have read it twice. The book is a page turner and the characters are very likable and interesting. If you enjoy a clean read with romance and intrigue, I would recommend this book and this author.
An exciting start to an unforgettable series. Realistic characters, tragic situations, the beginning of life changing growth in the characters. Very compelling story.
Hard to stop reading. She has tried to be a good daughter to her manipulative mom who thinks of herself & puts her down often. Scott & Jenna are both healing from past trauma & now after escaping an airplane crash are pursued by the media on-going. Helps those who have gone through sorrow to connect with them & grow in their faith.
The author did a good job of showing how keeping hurtful things in your life to yourself hurts not only you but others too. When we share our hurts with someone, healing begins.
Any Staci Stalling Books are wonderful
Suspenseful story that kept you turning the pages of this book about plane crash, rescue and love. The two main characters, Jenna and Scott, had to cope with the loss of love ones and trauma of a plane crash. It is a good story and highly recommend this book. Looking forward to reading the second book of this series.
Loved every word, so captivating.

OMG!!! Staci Stallings has done it again. Her stories are amazing just like God’s grace. I have never been disappointed when reading one of her books. Her characters are believable. The story line is strong and the power and love of God always show through. To God be all glory! I can’t wait until the next one comes out in November.
