SPELLBINDING LEGAL THRILLER FROM EDGAR NOMINEE PAUL LEVINE“I was sitting at the end of the bar sipping single-malt Scotch when I spotted the tall blond woman with the large green eyes and the small gray gun.”The next thing Jake Lassiter knows, the woman pumps three bullets into the man on the next bar stool. Lassiter, the linebacker-turned-lawyer, has a new client. She’s a stunning South Beach … client. She’s a stunning South Beach model; the dead man is her wealthy father; and the murder case is a slam dunk for the prosecution. Or is it?
“I’m a huge fan of John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson, and now I’m able to add Paul Levine to that list. I honestly couldn’t put the book down.” – Amazon 5-star review

Paul Levine writes great novels, easy to read, interesting plots, timely issues, and believable characters
didn’t want to put it down.
Another strong outing for Levine and his signature character, Jake Lassiter.
Very funny dialogue and good court scenes.
I love all the Jake Lassiter books and this was no exception. Great story and legal drama! Stayed up late to finish this one!!
The Jake Lassiter is very believable. He’s humble while at the same time very formidable. He’s also clever as you’ll see from reading this book.
Legal thriller with lots of twists and turns. Very entertaining and hard to put down.
I love Jake! Characters are rememberable! Really enjoyed this book, couldn’t put it down.
I’ve enjoyed the Jake Lassiter series.
so-so
I love all of Paul Levine’s books–can’t say I always understand the solution to the legal cases, but they are entertaining and I am sure that, as a former trial lawyer, he knows his law. He writes well, and I find myself laughing aloud many times while reading his stories–and I have read MANY of his books.
Easy, fun, enjoyable. I enjoy all of this series.
For a mediocre ex-pro football player turned mediocre lawyer, Lassiter does a pretty good job for his clients. In this edition of the amusing series, Lassiter is defending a woman who shot her father, resulting in his death, right in front of witnesses that included Lassiter. Hard to figure out how he’s going to pull this one off, but he manages, …
Loved the unpredictability and humor. Was disappointed with the non-definitive ending.
This book is too testosterone laden for me to get past the first several chapters. It was represented as a Jack Reacher analog. Spoiler alert: Jack Reacher it wasn’t, not even close!
This book was ok, not fantastic. Main character was not real likeable.
I did not enjoy the book. It’s disappointing because I have read many of his books. The raw, harsh language and treating people as if they were ‘throw away” souls. Lassiter has taken a turn on his journey through life and it looks like we will part ways. Too bad.
I found Flesh & Bones to be an extremely enjoyable read. It was my first book by Paul Levine but will certainly not be my last!
A bit corny, but entertaining
Love this author!
