Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment.Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position. But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley … zip code, Presley steps up to help.
The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all-American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided.
Love and commitment are predictable.
So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants?
Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path.
His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family.
What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea.
He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same.
Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability.
She makes him want to be reckless.

Fabulous, fun and flirty small-town romance and a great start to a new series. Keaton is a by-the-book guy with a world of responsibilities on his shoulder. Presley is a free spirit who lives life by the seat of her pants. But when sparks fly between them in this small town romance, their lives will both forever be changed.
This was a great new series start by Carrie Aarons. The characters are likable, the plot and pace flows nicely, and the reader goes along for the ride as Presley and Keaton fall in love. I love how he centers her, and she teaches him that it’s okay to be spontaneous. And do what he wants for himself for once, rather than what he thinks everyone needs him to do for them.
I can’t wait for #2 to read Bowen’s story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
Fleeting just warmed my heart, just a perfect start to this new series!
This book gave the feel of cosiness, sense of love, family and that extra energy for life, and was a long that I felt like that from a book series.
Keaton is a perfect guy, the oldest son, has his life all planned out, but took one look at redhead Presley and everything changes, and he doesn’t know how to deal with that, she messes with his plans.
Presley came to small town to her grandma when she needed the most, didn’t expect to find Keaton good boy Nash; her feelings are all over the place, she never been in love, and doesn’t understand her attraction at all.
They love story left me anxious because life can be such a b# to us, I cried for Presley, I felt like her, left on the side, forgotten, and I thank God for my grandma every day, she was the best, like Presley grandma.
I can’t wait to read about the Nash brother; I bet it will be epic!
All the stars.
A beautiful story that is easy to fall in love with. I love Keaton and Presley. The Nash family are amazing. I love the chemistry and love between the characters. The bond between the brothers. Such a beautiful, beautiful story. I can’t wait to read Bowen and Lily’s book next. I can definitely say this author is one of my favorite one click authors!
Opposites attract and I enjoyed it. Presley and Keaton were different but compatible. What I enjoyed about this story was how the roles were reversed. The hero was the too good to be true small town nice guy that everyone loved and she was the city girl afraid of commitment that didn’t have any specific plans for her future. Also this wasn’t an instalove and even when he declared his attraction she turned him down, lol. So different!!!
But then Keaton weighed Presley down even though she still had her insecurities. Keaton knew what he wanted but also took care of everyone else but himself. This was a good story with lots of different incidents that shows you sides of both in which you experience heartbreak and emotional feelings related to everyday life. But you also saw a family that stuck together like Keaton’s and a grandmother that brought out the best in her granddaughter like Presley’s. The secondary characters were a great addition and I’m intrigued by Keaton’s brother Bowen.
Fleeting Book 1 Nash Brothers by Carrie Aaron
AMAZING! FABULOUS! What a terrific small town romance! Love the characters and their sweet romance! Had me hooked from the front cover to the very end of the story! Loved it so much!
“A wisp of a dream, a shooting star gone too soon.”
“I’ve never loved someone this much. Loved someone with so much of me that I’m fighting my instinct to run with every fiber of my being.”
I very highly recommend! Absolutely can not wait for more in this series!
Such a sweet small town romance! This was my first read by Carrie and I’m so excited to see what she does next, especially in this series! I’m excited for the other Nash brothers’ stories!
I was laughing out loud at the meet cute for Keaton and Presley! It was so hilarious, and a bit mortifying for Presley. I couldn’t imagine meeting someone in those circumstances but I loved the way it all played out!
Keaton Nash is dependable and everyone in the small town of Fawn Hill knows he’s someone they can count on. He was such a swoon-worthy male lead and as the oldest of the Keaton family, he has a lot on his shoulders.
Presley McDaniel has had and easy yet unfulfilling life. When her Grandma needs some extra help, she moves to town to help. I love how she opened herself up to making true friends in this town even though she’s a bit of a wild soul. She’s always moved on to the next thing but will her feelings for Keaton be enough to finally settle down?
I love small town romances and this one is no different. All of the nuances and little details laid out the setting perfectly. I can’t wait to find out more about the secondary characters that appeared in this story either!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
Such a sweet small town romance! Nice break from my usual and can’t wait to get the other Nash brothers’ stories!
5 STARS
Fleeting is my definition of an EPIC small town romance. I love all the characters and how relatable they are. This book follows Preston Nash, the oldest Nash brother and the small town of Fawn Hill’s only veterinarian and his romantic love interest Presley McDaniel, who’s come to help out her ailing grandmother at the town’s Book Shop / Post Office.
I enjoyed reading about their initial encounter, it was quite a memorable way to meet. Preston has been out of the dating game a long time after being heartbroken and he feels the need to be everything to everyone; like he carries the burden to ensure all is done. But when he meets Presley, she lightens him up with her carefree nature which helps him to see that he wants so much more out of life. It’s the perfect example of opposites attract.
“I’d trapped myself in this role of servant instead of the one of volunteer. I’d offered to help so much that my friends and family just expected it of me now … they were abusing my kindness and caring. And now that I had a woman in my life who was quickly becoming more than all of that … I didn’t want to get out of bed to serve the community who had been using me for a while now.”
Preston comes across as a good-two shoes and Presley is initially unsure about getting into a relationship with him. She reluctantly agrees to a date with him that eventually evolves into more. But the question is will it last despite their differences in personalities.
“Like everything else in my life, maybe my romance with Keaton was fleeting. All the things that happened to me only lasted for a very short time. I glimpsed happiness or success, and then it was gone. A wisp of a dream, a shooting star gone too soon.”
I highly recommend reading this sweet small town romance. I can’t wait for the next instalment of this series. Fleeting by Carrie Aarons will join the ranks of BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
It’s always a delight to read one of Carrie Aaron’s book and Presley is a rare treat. All her life she has been missing love and faith yet it takes a small town to show her anything is possible. I loved that Nash is responsible and takes his family seriously until Presley. This is one man that needs a woman like Presley in his life. This new book by Carrie is filled with love, faith and hope but most of all three brothers this reader cannot wait to read more about by this talented author.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
What do you get in this small town romance between two very different people who have nothing in common? Way more than you might imagine, because Carrie Aarons doesn’t write predictable!
Presley and Keaton are complete opposites in every way. Add to that her commitment issues, not just with relationships, but pretty much everything in life, and their story is definitely not what you might expect. Presley moves to the small town her grandmother lives in to help her run her bookshop and meets Keaton, the sexy veterinarian, in a rather embarrassing way. There’s no instalove or even instaspark (definite interest though!), so with some awkwardness, family issues, and reluctance, it takes them awhile to maneuver their way to an HEA, and I loved every minute of it!
Now that the oldest Nash has found his happiness, I’m eager to get the love stories of the other three Nash brothers. We meet them all in this book and from what we know about them already, I can tell their books are going to be amazing!
It was a sweet, small town read, I felt like the heroine needed to grow up a little because I found her issues to be a little bit on the childish side.. I loved her grandmother and I can’t wait meet the rest of the brothers!
Presley is the free spirited middle child who left Fawn Hill and moved to New York. She hasn’t set down roots either professionally or personally and is looking for something or someone but she hasn’t discovered what that is yet. When her grandmother’s health starts to fail, she moves back to Fawn Hill to manage her business.
Fawn Hill is Keaton’s home and he has no intention of leaving. He always knew that he would take over his father’s veterinary clinic. He has already experienced the pain of one woman leaving him for the city, so he definitely doesn’t want to go down that road again.
The only thing these two have in common is their attraction to ach other. They know that they are completely wrong for each other but with a little help from the townspeople they may just realize that they have found what they have always been looking for.
This is a sweet and sexy small town romance filled with hot chemistry and humorous banter.
So what do I need to do to find a quaint little town like Fawn Hill? And some Nash brothers? Because good golly Miss Molly I am in love with everything here!
Presley McDaniel and Keaton Nash were meant for one another without them knowing that they needed the other. I loved the way that Nash would become almost shy – stumbling over what he wanted to say around Presley. It was so endearing for me and knowing his history and how he had been spurned, but was still so interested in this free spirit that was Presley just had me rooting for them to figure it out. Presley was bohemian love interest that Nash needed! By not letting herself get tied down to things she was not sure about… but at the same time, her fear of commitment was something Nash was able to help her work through.
I loved the setting in Fawn Hill, and grandma, and the brothers, and Chance the dog, and so much about this story!! Aaron’s was able to create this world that endears themselves to you and makes it so you have to know what happens next for the Nash brothers!
I am a newer reader to Carrie Aarons but this book has me checking out all her previous releases. It was sweet, a little angst, great characters, it had heart and the writing was wonderful.
We are introduced to a small town world where everyone knows everyone and is all up in each other’s business. It was a captivating world that I can imagine any small town being that way.
They say opposites attract and that seems to be the case with Keaton and Presley. Presley is a city girl just there to help her Grandmother. She isn’t known to stay in one place or even one job for long. She is the black sheep of her family and is a wanderer. She has a hippie spirit with a huge heart.
Keaton is a planner, stay on the path kind of guy. He knew what he was going to do with his life super early on. He doesn’t do spontaneity and has only lived in his small town. He is a vet, like his father before him. He is the one everyone looks to for guidance and help. He is the shoulders that his family’s world rests on.
These two are like oil and water until they aren’t. This author took you on a sweet ride with Keaton and Presley and leaves you needing Bowen and Lily’s story.
What a great small town romance. Keaton and Presley had up’s and down’s, a whirlwind romance that was both sweet and sexy. They had a real connection, even though they were both scared at different times didn’t mean they stopped feeling things for each other.
If you love a small town romance this is going to be your series. Getting to know the back ground on the Nash brothers is an added bonus. I can feel myself already falling in love with Bowen.

WOW!! I love Carrie’s books and this one didn’t disappoint in the slightest!!
So the Story of Presley and Keaton was so great! I loved it so much!!!
Presley comes back to their small town to help her Grandmother who had failing eyesight. Keaton is the local vet.
Did I say local HOTT vet? Yep, that’s right!
Keaton isn’t over being hurt about his ex and what happened, and he’s not sure he’s ready to date again. But then Presley happens.
Presley is just finding her feet again, and deciding wether she’s going to keep her Grandmothers business running or not. But then Keaton happens.
Keaton falls fast and hard, but Presley needs some time to adjust to it all.
Can they make it through this rough patch when Keaton professes his feelings for Presley?
Can Presley open up and live in a small town again?
My fave quotes from the book
1. “When I kiss, we’ll both be ready for it.” – Keaton to Presley because he wants to kiss her so badly.
2. I’m pretty sure I’m looking at her as if I might swallow her whole, and I’ve fixed my dick trying to tent my pants more times than I count. – Keaton can’t help the way he feels about Presley, and he cracks me up!!
3. “Honestly, I’m not sure I even like you, yet.” – Presley takes some time to warm up to Keaton.
4. The nerdy high school boy takes over my body, and I just can’t believe that this beautiful creature is looking at me the way she’s looking at me. – Dr. Keaton was a nerdy boy at school. Presley is so special to him and he’s still in disbelief that Presley likes him!
5. “If my ball sack splits open, you’re paying for the plastic surgery.” – I love the humour in this book!! Presley takes Keaton to a yoga session. One she’s running!
6. “How did I go through like not knowing that you were meant for me?” – **SWOON MOMENT**
7. Keaton just broke us, and he has absolutely no idea. – Not going to tell y’all what was said, or done, you’ll have to read it to find out!
I loved this book!! Big city girl Presley and small town doc Keaton…I pulled for them from the beginning! But…Presley is used to running. And Keaton has way too much responsibility in Fawn Hill to chase her. I love Fawn Hill, and I can’t wait for the next book-really want to know what happened to drive Lily and Bowen apart!!
Carrie Aarons is one of my FAVORITE authors, and her newest book, the first of a series about four brothers, does not disappoint. Keaton is a small-town veterinarian who takes his role as the eldest brother seriously. Maybe a bit too seriously. Presley, a big city girl does take anything serious enough, and hasn’t found anything to ground her in her life. When they meet, it is a true story of how opposites not only attract, but bring out the best in each other. Aarons tells a story that is both hilarious, and heartwarming. I highly recommend this book, which I read in a day. I look forward to reading about the other 3 Nash brothers, who we meet in this book.
Keaton and Presley’s story is a sweet feel good romance. Keaton is the reliable brother the ohe everyone turns to. Presley is the woman who is going to shake up his life.
This is only the start of our journey with the Nash brothers which is good because they are all intriguing.
4.5 stars
This is the first instalment in this new series from Carrie Aarons and she has captured my heart from the very beginning. I’m addicted to these Nash brothers already <3
Carrie has delivered a fantastic sweet romance with Keaton and Presley. She has given us the perfect blend of emotions, romance and drama. These two opposites are perfect for each other.
If you love small town romances then this is for you. Not only do you get introduced to the Nash brothers but you meet other secondary characters that you also become addicted too.
With Carrie's flawless writing style I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and seeing what happens next with these Nash Brothers especially Bowen and Lily's story
