It wasn’t a crush. It sure as hell wasn’t love.It was a volatile cocktail of anger and lust.A battle of wills and a struggle of desires… thinking about her wide eyes, honeyed lips and divine curves.
She thinks she can control the company, but she can’t even control herself around me. She says she hates me, but I know she wants me. And that’s all I need to take her and the company both.
I’ll slip my hands down her back and claim her hips, pulling her tight against my weapon. But I’m not going to give it to her that easy.
I’ll teach her that I’m the one on top and she’ll have to beg me to take her.
And when she belongs to me in the bedroom, I’ll take the company next.
Flawless is a standalone 120,000 word romance with no cheating, plenty of steam and a happily ever after.more
This is my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. John and Baby needed to just be tossed in a room with each other so they could just get everything out of their systems. It was entertaining watching them go at each other.
Flawless is frustrating but good
There has been strife between the Butler and Fury families for generations. So when Bettina “Baby” Butler is voted CEO of the B&F Mining Company, John Fury is none too pleased. Add his attraction to Baby before he realizes who she is and you have a powder keg waiting for a match to be lit.
Why exactly people think in this day and age that a woman CEO is easily manipulated by her libido is beyond me. There are battles of will that are constantly settled in the bedroom instead of the boardroom. I enjoyed Flawless, the mining aspects are interesting, but I would have preferred more boardroom drama.
Baby and John are vying for the top spot at the mining company their families own, and they have a love / hate relationship going on, yet there is undeniable chemistry between them. This is a well written story which has drama, secrets, and is a steamy and entertaining read. I was intrigued and hooked throughout and look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.
Sometimes revenge becomes something more. Bettina aka Baby remembers John and is trying to get the open position at his company. When John finally remembers Baby he is out to seek some revenge to get what he wants, when the tables turn and they begin to find common ground and sparks fly they both fight to gain control. will they have their happy ever after or will every thing burn?
I was totally entertained from the very beginning. I loved all the characters. They were well written and had developed unique personalities. I have read enemies to lovers’ books before, but this one takes the cake. It is one of the best I have ever read. There is so much animosity, resentment, angst and anger between Bettina “Baby” Bishop and John Fury. Their families have been partners in the goldmine business for nigh on one hundred years. But there is so much bitterness between them and their descendants. I like the fact that although Baby was young, twenty-five-ish, she an exemplary worker and had an exceptional head for business. John is an engineer and lived his life in the field and a few days here and there in the office. He worked his way up to be the best engineer in the company and had a company of men working for him. Both Baby and John were born leaders. They continual butted heads and disagreed often. Their company B&F was failing and they needed something big to happen to keep them going for future generations. Just like the miners of old, both Baby and John felt it in their guts that the mother lode was there just waiting to be found. At the same time, Baby finally gave into John’s charms and they had plenty of hot sexy angry hateful sex. Little by little as they got to know each other their feelings began to change. The supporting characters were wonderful and added spice to the story. I enjoyed reading this immensely and I highly recommend it.
