I really liked this story. This might just be my favorite story by this author. I can’t believe that she has written less than ten published books. They are all so good! I’m excited to read more.
Anyways, back to the actual review. The characters and story were incredible. Personally, I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice or watched the money so it was less of a retelling and more of a actual teenage love story. The characters grow throughout the story. They learn more about themselves and become better people overall. Mia is a bit judgemental but I loved her character. Jade and Lotti were great side characters. I liked seeing Jade and Charlie’s romance grow throughout the story. Even Lotti’s small part with Eli was cute. Finn was a good character even if it take a bit of time for me to warm up to the preppy, a bit snobbish teenager. The characters were detailed and easy to imagine.
The story was so much fun! It was smooth and there were so many small events that led up to the perfect ending. I loved seeing Finn and Mia’s story progress. They were complete opposites on paper but were so good together in life. The short events and details were what made up the increidbleness of the story. I applaud the author for this story!
I received a review copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve always loved the book, Pride and Prejudice, and Flawed, this modern tale was wonderfully written to capture the essence of what that story is about. How our flaws can either hold us back or bring us strength when we learn to accept them and forgive others for their mistakes or flaws. I really enjoyed the characters, especially Mia, she is a little judging and a lot snarky. I liked the description of the world created in this book, set in a rich private school that Mia and her sister Jade had earned scholarships to attend. The mean girls are present and add to the mis-adventures the sisters get into as they navigate through this world of rich and spoiled. I loved the alternating pov from Mia and Finn. The social anxiety touch brought some real connections to the story.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to read this book as an arc. I highly recommend it to anyone.
Wow, just wow. I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters and the story line just flows well.
Mia is from the other side of town going to a prestigious academy on a scholarship. Her sister Jade is also attending school with her. Then you have Finn who only has one friend and is not social person. But when he sees Mia he does not know what to think or feel. She wants to hate him but her feelings are all over the place. She is just not sure. What will she do?
This book has an HEA ENDING, so you will find out what happens.
